FLEET SALES MANAGER RAY SHIPTISKI states GMC stands for Gay Man’s Cadillac!!   We purchased a brand new F350 Lariat from Sherwood Ford in Sherwood Park, Alberta. At first our buying experience was fantastic; they were efficient and friendly when they got their money (we paid in full). Then everything went downhill. We pick up our new truck on Nov 27. On the way home, my husband heard that there was an air leak from a warped window seal on the passenger side. Nov 29, with 600 km on our new truck, we got a powertrain malfunction warning and lost all use of switching from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive, etc. Now living in rural Alberta, it is a necessity for ice and snow on gravel roads. By Dec 1 our truck was back at Sherwood Ford's service department. Not only those 2 items, but we also now had an engine light on for the particulate matter sensor. They gave us a loaner truck that had little fuel. So my husband tells the staffer. Who then replies, "Oh, get fuel, and we will make sure your truck tank is full once you pick up from service. One week later we have heard nothing, zero communication about if our NEW truck was fixed or not. My husband calls for an update; they said to come and get it. 2 items were completed: the window and the particular sensor. The most important is a “vin specific“ item for the 4x4 module. They tell us it’s a 2- to 3-week wait. Sherwood's service department hands us the keys and says it's somewhere on the lot. Not only do we have to wander around the truck, which is covered in 6 inches of snow, and the fob is barely working, we couldn’t even remote start the truck. We voice our concerns. This is a BRAND NEW TRUCK! And no, they didn’t put diesel in. These things should not happen on a 100k-plus truck. Everyone basically brushed it off and didn’t care. We then contact Ford Canada to figure out what the xxxx. We then are told by Ford Canada it’s 2 weeks away to then miraculously get a phone call that the module is in. So we drive the 120 km back to Sherwood Ford to get this sorted. Not a single person talked to my husband other than a fleet sales manager, Ray SHIPTISKI, who saw my husband’s GMC hat and asked him, Do you know what GMC stands  for?" Which he proceeds to say, “Gay Man's Cadillac. “🙄 They went over the time that was promised. My husband asked if it was completed, as he no longer saw it in the service area; they said yes. The service advisor handed him the keys, and as he was walking away, he stated, Go find your truck. Surprise, surprise, no fuel again when promised, and then call me to tell him to come back for fuel and say they don’t have his number when it’s not only on the document 1 but 2x. He just wanted out of there... I don’t blame him; the amount of disrespect and lack of service was utterly shocking and disgusting. Not to mention the homophobic comment from an upper-level staffer. We do not feel taken care of. Does our money mean nothing to you? Do you not stand behind your product? You promise items and don’t follow through and come back with a “we tried. “Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM SHERWOOD FORD!! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND THEN A BIG F U!

Worst dealership experience to date. Truck took 7 months to arrive, paperwork was a nightmare with finance first tacking on $10,000 for their prepaid service and paint protection crap (which was then offered at half price down the road) and tried to use double speak to screw me out of $900.00 on my trade, so I left. Came back a couple days later to try again and now there was a random $600 charge put on the paperwork for a VIN etching fee (which I had removed early in negotiation and that time it was $500). Took delivery of my truck and it was scratched, had the wrong winter tires on it and was missing 2 dealer installed accessories. In the last month, nothing but xx and platitudes, but still nothing done to make me whole. AMVIC and Ford Canada are now involved. Go buy a Ford elsewhere, if they can screw around this much with a new vehicle, I'd hate to see what happens with used. Emails to higher management also go unanswered. I know the response from team Ford will be an insincere apology and a recommendation to contact higher management, but they've been on all of my communications to the dealership and have yet to do anything to respond

Use Caution When Purchasing Used At Kentwood. The process to start was amazing. I had been looking for a while and Larry went above and beyond to show me my vehicle on his day off. Then began the downside. I fell in love with the truck and the price. We went for a test drive and I liked it. But I heard a squeal from the breaks. The squeak wasn't horrible "Yet". I thought maybe it was just from sitting, in fact when I bought my previous vehicle it squeaked when brand new. It eventually stopped. I didn't think about it too much during the buying process. When I decided to proceed, my salesman asked me to come in at a certain time and he was busy. no big deal right, I am excited and willing to wait. The purchase is completed. Yes, I opted out of any additional warranties because the mechanical fitness assessment was excellent and I trusted that they would not sell me a vehicle and lie about that. 1 week later the vehicle won't start. I called my finance manager at Kentwood to find out about any initial warranties. He said 30 days over 5000. He said I may be covered for this if it was an alternator or related. My salesman says he will take it to the shop put it on a charger for the day and pick me up at work at the end of the day. He got busy and abandoned me at work. I had to spend money on an Uber. I pick up my truck and he says there is nothing wrong with it and to not leave the AUX on. He made me feel like a stupid woman. I took it home and the next morning it wouldn't start. I pulled the battery out of the truck and took it to a mechanic to test it. It was so so dead. the battery was garbage. The mechanical assessment said it was good. 250.00 later it now starts. amazingly a whole bunch more options work now, so it was dead when I bought it. Shifty. back to the brakes. After driving for almost a month now. the brakes are not getting better, they are getting worse. much worse!!!!! Because of how I was treated, I am scared to go back. I have had several people offer their opinions. From squealers to glazed brakes. All of this was a problem before I bought it. Some crazed service woman yelled at me when I was sent down there by the salesman to have it checked out. Kentwoods mechanic said the brakes are good but the rotters are rusty and should get better with time. they aren't they are getting worse. But the crazed lady went at me like a rabid dog. She was saying that I had to pay and she was going to lose her job and she was far from being nice to a customer. Anyway, Kentwood and the mechanical assessment said the brakes are fine.....I am so incredibly embarrassed to stop my vehicle because of the very very loud noise. The sound of springs or coils pinging is a concern as well. and sometimes even while rolling the brakes sound like they are stuck on. What a horrible experience. I traded in a perfectly good vehicle that was in amazing mechanical shape and well cared for to buy a vehicle that they lied to me about and have yet to correct their mistake.

I spot some oil leaking and so I got the car inspected it needs about 7k of work on it and universal ford are not accepting any liability, absolute con artists, stay clear don't buy from them. Big hassle with no compensation. -When we were asked to come pick up our truck at 5, we waited 30min (60 total), argued with finance about our down payment because they said we could put down as much as we want, but then wouldn't let us, wouldn't put both spouses names on the truck, and the truck wasn't ready. Had to wait for manager. -Came back later in the week when they told us to but they had lost a key and couldn't find the inspection/service record. Had to wait around for manager. (We paid cash to avoid dealing with finance and they still wouldn't put both names on the truck) -Hassle transferring plates because registration was in both names but truck wasn't. Because it took so long to receive the truck it went right up to the 14 days. -Called 10 days later to pick up the key, had to wait for manager to say they still couldn't find it. -Gave them 3 more days to find the key but they couldn't find it and asked us to come in to get a replacement. -When asked about compensation they said we're lucky they're giving us a key because there was probably only one, even though we saw both keys. Super annoying and a waste of hours and hours of our time. Avoid this place if you can.

Brought my 2023 Ford Bronco Sport in for a Safety Recall issued by Ford Canada to this scabby dealership. Dropped my vehicle off just after 6:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2023. My vehicle was in perfect condition when I dropped it off, different story when I picked it up. The service technician dropped something on my windshield and cracked big time. Marlborough ford losers are saying the vehicle was like that when I dropped it off. Buyer beware avoid this loser dealership at all cost.

The quote from Clarence was very reasonable, the work was completed without issue and ahead of schedule, and the final bill was even less than the original quote (this speaks to the honesty and integrity of this dealership). Terrible service, and every visit seems to surface more 'money grab' problems. The last issue with them, I was rear ended in my car. The insurance company wouldn't accept that the ABS module was damaged by the collision, and Hansen backed up the insurance company's claim, rather than a repeat customer (I've purchased 3 new vehicles from their lot). Further, they over estimated the price of parts to repair by more that 30%, as I purchased the parts myself from a dealership on the other side of the country for almost half what Hansen quoted. The labor time estimates were WAY more than what the job to replace and reprogram the new module and HCU actually takes to do, claiming a full day for the reprogramming which actually only takes about 15 minutes. (I would do it myself, but Lincoln has the programming locked for Ford/Lincoln techs only for a 7 y/o vehicle). I've received no support through the entire ordeal from this dealership, and they now block my calls and emails when I attempt to get my car back on the road. Further, they kept my car for almost 2 months before even communicating to me what the diagnostics had found. Terrible customer service, no support for repeat buyers, unless of course you're an oil company buying fleets.
