Same thing happened in my case I did my research and decided to get WRX. So looked for closest dealership in my area and I briefly stopped by two Subaru dealerships in Vancouver for Test drive. Perhaps both product specialists in both dealerships had a long day, their interactions were rather lukewarm. Most surprising answer I got from both dealerships is that they don’t give WRX for test drive. Come on who will buy the car without test driving. Then I called Richmond Suburu to see if they allow test drive, my call was transferred to Edwin. Edwin was like yes off course can test drive. Then after the test drive there was never a pressure from Edwin to purchase the car. After few calls here and there from him, but I was held up on few other projects so buying car was secondary to me. After close to two months again during this time I never got those typical sales call saying when are you planning to buy. I myself called Edwin saying I am ready to buy the car lets have a deal as I was trading in my old car. Edwin got his sales manager Mathew to talk about my trade in option. Initially offer I got was no where close to my expectation but Edwin did ask if I had any number in my mind after giving that out, Edwin went to Mathew to work around to meet my requirements. Finally they were able to get me something that was in my budget. Model I was looking was not able in stock so Edwin asked me to wait for close to month before I can get my choice. Usually most sales person will try to over promise to close the deal but Edwin never did that instead he was able to get me my car in less then 12 days. I was so amazed to see my car to be here in less than what was promised. Finance Manager Fraser on the day of delivery was very helpful and patient in answering my questions regarding finance and Warranty. Fraser made sure I understand every part of the warranty and also benefits of it. It was busy day at the dealership as they had many cars delivery but Fraser never rushed me though. Great job guys. Keep up the great team work. I am really happy to deal with you guys thanks. More

This is with great pleasure to say that I am very impressed and appreciated the experience I received in the Richmond Subaru, especially Mr. Edwin Slater, the product specialist who helped me right from day one. My car searching process began in Sep 2015. My wife and I briefly stopped by two Subaru dealerships in Vancouver for our initial searching. Perhaps both product specialists in both dealerships had had a long day, their interactions with us were rather lukewarm. Fast forward to June 2016, after working super hard to earn few extra bucks, I decided it’s time to get a new vehicle and retire my 10 year old workhorse, the VW Passat. It was a bright sunny afternoon when we visited the Richmond Subaru and Edwin was the very first person to greet us. At first I was planning to get a Legacy, or another sedan so to speak. But after discussing my needs with Edwin I shifted my focus onto the Outback. As a wedding photographer who also enjoy winter activities in Cypress Mountain & Whistler, Outback is the best options that fit all my needs. I appreciated Edwin patiently listened to my wish list (family, work, play) together with his extensive product knowledge to help me to make my purchase decision. My plan of new vehicle purchase was put aside for three months due to the busy wedding season. During those times Edwin and I exchanged a few hello emails here and there. I appreciated that he never rush me and reassured me to take my time. By mid September when things started winding down I showed up at the Richmond Subaru again. The price negotiation part was pretty standard. My humble recommendation is to do your homework, tell the dealership a reasonable price which you have in mind and they will do their very best to come up with a final selling price that all parties involved are happy with. I strongly recommend that you contact Edwin at Richmond Subaru if you are planning to purchase a Subaru vehicle. More

If you've ever been in that situation before, give Robin a chance to give you a hassle free experience. Very happy with our purchase at the price we want and glad we read other reviews before we shop. When we got here we were helped right away. Robin was so helpful and knowledgeable that the process was very smooth! He used his knowledge about cars and what I told him about me to find the perfect match. He also helped us find one that we could afford. Even after we already bought the car he shared his knowledge of financing, insurance, to make sure we don't get cheated. He gave us the best deal of all of the places we found, and we honestly felt he had my best interest at hand! I've been driving my car for a month now, and I love it! Robin has been following up with me and making sure everything is alright. He is the kindest car salesman I have ever met and also the guy in charge of the dealership was kind and easy to deal with. Let me say that the service that I received was here from Brandon was absolutely outstanding. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Brandon who was dedicated in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. I told him that I already has visited other dealerships prior to my visit at Richmond Subaru with no luck and rest assured, he told me he would find the right car for me. After telling him exactly what I was looking for which was the perfect size SUV or sedan, Brandon showed me plenty of options to see what fit my taste. I ended up test driving both a Subaru Forester and a WRX and ended up falling in love with both. Brandon was extremely patient in showing me all the benefits of each car, and taking me on the best test drive route to get a feel for the differences in both cars. I was glad that Brandon managed to find me the perfect car for me with the best service I could ask for. I ended up walking away the same day with a brand new 2016 Forester and couldn't be any more happier. I was given the best deal by Richmond Subaru that I had been offered out of all five dealerships I had visited earlier. To top it off, the great service did not stop there. Following my purchase, Brandon followed up with me to make sure that I was enjoying everything about the new car. The added bonus in Richmond Subaru's additional services that Brandon had told me about including a free car washing service, airport service, and their dedication in servicing any problems that may arise in the future really assured my decision in picking the best dealership. Definitely would buy from here again, and recommend highly to friends and family, 10/10 service. More
