After dr Purchased a used 2011 Forester with 59,000 km. The car was in really nice shape and condition all around. Got it at a very competitive price. After driving it for aprx. 1600 km found out that it was consuming oil at a rather alarming rate. We went back and tolled them about this problem and to make a long story short, we ended up with a brand new Crosstrek that more than made up for any inconvenience caused. Usually, once you make a purchase, don't bother cause they don't care any longer, but in this case the opposite was true. Never in all my life have I experienced this level of service and satisfaction that we received at Richmond Subaru, especially by Tyler George. You owe it to yourself to check these guys out before you purchase your next vehicle. More
GO STRAIGHT TO RICHMOND SUBARU…NOW!!! Although I ended up buying my new car from a different dealership (I’ll explain why), if I could do it all over again I’d go straight to Richmond Suba Although I ended up buying my new car from a different dealership (I’ll explain why), if I could do it all over again I’d go straight to Richmond Subaru. Seriously, don’t even bother with anyone else on the lower mainland. I know it sounds cliché, but these guys really are there to help you buy, not just sell you something. A while ago I wandered into a different Subaru dealership and inquired about buying a new car. Although I hadn’t planned on it, I ended up going on a test drive and, at the end of it, I was so impressed with the car that I dropped down a deposit right then and there. Bad idea. First, I asked the sales guy if he was willing to move on the price, but he wasn’t. That should have been a red flag right there, but there was only one left of the particular car I wanted, so I paid them the deposit anyway because I didn’t want to lose the car. Anyway, I left the dealership feeling uneasy, like I had just made a mistake. Enter Richmond Subaru. I called them and asked them whether they’d be able to match the price I found on the internet, and the salesman I talked to, Tim, told me that they could match it, and probably do a bit better as well (NOTE: the first dealership I went to wanted more per month than the price I found on the internet and they weren’t willing to budge on the price). So, the next day Richmond Subaru’s leasing manager, Dicken, contacted me with a great deal, which ended up being over $30 per month less than the first dealership I went to. He even threw in a bunch of extras I didn’t ask for, just to sweeten the deal. At that point, I had pretty much decided that I was going to buy my new car from Richmond Subaru, because even if I lost my deposit, I’d still come out ahead. Well, the dealership I first went to ended up matching Richmond Subaru on the dollar amount and on the extras. So, in light of the deposit I’d already paid and the fact that Richmond Subaru would have to order my particular car in for me, because they didn’t currently have it in stock, I ended up going with the original guys. Like I said though, if I could do it all over again, I’d go straight to Richmond Subaru and just deal with them. I really felt like they wanted to help me out. They were also super nice when I told them that I wasn’t going to be able to buy from them and seemed genuinely happy for me. More

Very disorganized team leading to bad customer service I called on Dec 22 to order a new key and book a 12 month service for Dec 24: -The Dec 24 service was fine, and I also receive a new key but I was I called on Dec 22 to order a new key and book a 12 month service for Dec 24: -The Dec 24 service was fine, and I also receive a new key but I was charged twice for the key, after I specifically told them that I gave my credit card details over the phone on Dec 22 because they needed me to pay for the key when it was ordered. They can't fix their own screw-up and told me to email management my credit card statement and ask for a refund. -The cost of the key was more then double what they told me over the phone ($338 vs about $150, so they obviously left some numbers out when they quoted me). -Although the car was washed and vacuumed, I found a navy blue mechanic long-sleeve shirt and matching pants left in my car! Not sure why someone would take off their clothes and leave it in my car. - A week later, I received a phone call saying my key was ready for pick-up. Why do they not know that they gave me my key the week before? Overall, they seem very disorganized and confused, and they tell you things that are not true. Although it appears this way, I don't want to say they are dishonest because maybe they are just disorganized. However, I will be taking my car elsewhere to get it serviced. Nelson More
