Gus, with great patience took the time to show me all the used vehicles that I expressed interest in. The experience did not leave me feeling pressured, and I appreciated that very much. Even in the cold, used vehicles that I expressed interest in. The experience did not leave me feeling pressured, and I appreciated that very much. Even in the cold, he walked me around their used car lot, and happily grapped the keys to any car that appealed to me. Definitely one of the friendliest dealers I've ever dealt with. And most importantly, I never got the feeling of being pushed toward a more expensive car, it was really all about my interests. I was also greatly impressed to find out the dealership offered free tire storage, it was a pleasant surprise to top off a good car buying experience. Thanks Gus! More
From start to finish our experience with Southbank was laid back, but highly professional. They worked with us to ensure we were choosing the right car for our needs... And wants. Everything online from t laid back, but highly professional. They worked with us to ensure we were choosing the right car for our needs... And wants. Everything online from the initial posting was accurate and upfront, they coordinated a no pressure test drive and helped us with our trade to ensure we could get our payments to match our budget. For such a large purchase and decision, I'm so happy we ended up working with the Southbank dodge Chrysler team! We were able to upgrade without a higher payment, and when it came to delivery, they spent time familiarizing us with the new features. My husband and I are excited about our "new to us" 2013 jeep, and feel that we got great value, fair financing, and will be happy to get our future servicing done at the dealership. More
just got back from my 18 month checkup and was great. just got back from my 18 month checkup and was great. Doug ( the service rep ) was very helpful.....mentioned some things that could be done but whe just got back from my 18 month checkup and was great. Doug ( the service rep ) was very helpful.....mentioned some things that could be done but when I said I was following the dodge warranty service outline he didn't push at all for extra things to be done. The service was super fast and they were very attentive to any questions or concerns that I brought up. All questions were answered completely and with respect. Will sure go back a third time---sure didn't go back to Dilawri--where I bought this van and don't think I ever would after the treatment I got on my first attempt to get service done there. More
This was the worst dealership that me and my husband have ever been too. We were excited to go look for a car and when we got to South Bank, the sales clerk was a real jerk and very unprofessional, it was a ever been too. We were excited to go look for a car and when we got to South Bank, the sales clerk was a real jerk and very unprofessional, it was a young kid who had no respect for anyone. We saw a car that we were interested in and when we asked about the price, we were not getting an honest answer, we had to keep asking what the TOTAL was including interest if we finance and we just we'rent getting any answer. Finally they came out with a interest that was extremely high and tried to make us sign paper work, we did not like the price we saw so we did not want to sign and the sales guy kept pushing and pushing and then when he saw we really didn't want to buy he went to get his manager. They made us feel very uncomfortable and just pressured to buy a car, it was obvious all they wanted was to SELL and they didn't care about how much it would cost us. Don't waste your time and go there they just want your money not your business and customer care!! We went to Car On Auto and big difference between them south bank, Car On Auto were amazing and very helpful we bought our car there and will always go to them from now on! I don't know how South Bank still operates with such poor customer service and poor staff running it, they need to hire new people with better qualities! More
This was not my first trip to the rodeo and I have a vast experience with cars and driving. I approached the dealership with the idea that I would be a no hassle, straight up honest approch as a customer an experience with cars and driving. I approached the dealership with the idea that I would be a no hassle, straight up honest approch as a customer and hoped that the respect for this type of experience would be returned. It was not. In their defence, they were recommended to me by someone who indeed had a good experience there. I hade made email contact with Derek based upon that recommendation. His response was swift and appeared informed. After some changes to our requirements, we settled on a range of options to cosider in the purchase of a used truck. Upon my first face to face, I was surprised at how much over the top, his presentation was. This even after I had encouraged him to slow down the conversation and soften the delivery. I wanted an adult conversation about an adult subject. He found it difficult to turn it down. The first day, we had a good test drive, but at the end of the day, he introduced me to the right truck. A beautiful choice of a trade in that immediately caught my eye. Second visit and addmitidly under a time constraint, I introduced my Wife to Derek and we got a good look at the truck. I was impressed with the unit and we entered into the haggle process I really was trying to avoid. I was also introduced to a Chrysler rep who could have been a Mafia Don for all I knew. Participated in a process where they wanted me to Enter a draw that would not benefit me at all in this sales process and in the end, wasted my time. Then a further on-line promo offering a discount which was never mentioned during the haggle process. The offers started to be transferred back and forth, between the sales manager and myself. but eventually we settled on a price but I added covieats to the sales contract that seemed to start their ire to my experience even further. I insisted on a third party safety inspection prior to vehicle delivery. They were confused and insulted but really had to choice but to comply because it was on my coin that I wanted this to be done. I still paid full coin on their licence and delivery PDI. Upon signing and initiating the sales contract, under a rush to complete that again, was my fault, there was a charge ofr the Carproof fact sheet, for $40.00. Not a huge amount but I was not offerred the option of having this but it showed up during the sales process as a tool for the credibility of the sales process. It was eventually reversed but again, why do I have to initiate this kind of process. It felt amaturish again. Ok Fast forward again to delivery. I did get the truck inspected by a third party and it was better than I had even expected. I am glad however I did this third party as the third party had only my best interest in mind and not the final sale. Delivery day, with plenty of notice, they were still late. I understood they were busy, but excuses were only worsening the final day. I waited in the service department after the cheque had been transferred and all of the paperwork had been completed. And waited, And waited...I finally thought that they had forgotten I was there. They did. They had thought I had gone for a beverage while the process was going on, but didn't place a watch on the second option which was to wait in service. I went back to Derek who had stated the truck had bee ready for some time to be shown. My frustration was obvious and he knew it, as did the entire showroom. But I got the truck, clean and fueled up, an oil change and new wipres, but no second key...fleet mamager had taken it home. When I insisted on them couriering the key to my home, instead I received it in the mail. The Key to my truck, with My address on the envelope with no ability to trak or account for the key while in transit. I got a great truck. Had it not been such a good choice, I would have walked away from Southbank without hesitation. For a company with such a history, the operation appears juvenile and amateur. That was my experience. Wish it was better. It was not. More

He kept asking us how much we wanted to pay per month when we were repeatedly trying to get him to give us the TOTAL price. He wouldn't even discuss interest rates with us until we promised to buy!!! This stereotypical pushy sleezeball salesman tactic might work on some- but we were so turned off. Then out comes the manager Decio- well isn't he some Rico Suavé pushing me to convince my husband that this is the right decision so he can give me a great deal. All the "special" discounts they promised just to me were standard across the board. I can only imagine the shennanagans they would try and pull if you signed on the dotted line!! Steer clear of this place!!! More

Upon showing up, the guy forgot who I was and passed me off to some other guy who was obviously new. The new saleman's seemed lost but was nice enough to proceed to drive up a new car I could take a look at. Going back into the dealership to sit down and discuss costing, he went to talk to his boss, who came over and handed me a $500 dollar coupon for a car and said they would call me and would not talk with me. Most unprofessional thing I have ever seen in my life, and was extremely offended that they would not even talk to me. Long story short I ended up buying a new car from Metro Chrysler the next day. The dealership is a joke, with a jock locker room mentality with grease balls (cheesy nicknames included with select salesmen) giving each other high fives and shouting out infront of everyone who got the most sales on the job board, like something out of a bad movie. I have instructed all my friends and family to avoid this dealership, and I hope everyone else does the same. More
We had a an agreed upon price prior to our visit, the agreed upon price was confirmed by email and phone call to make sure we were not wasting our time. When we arrived Derek was all friendly with us, th agreed upon price was confirmed by email and phone call to make sure we were not wasting our time. When we arrived Derek was all friendly with us, than as time went on and he was speaking with the sales manager who was actually pulling the strings approaches us and said we were far from a deal. I showed them the agreed upon deal we had by email, stated the deal was confirmed on the phone and told them if the price was 1 cent higher we would ask them to correct the invoice. So it was quite clear to us what the price of the 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SE CVP. Needless to say I was pretty upset and raised my voice and the manager with a arrogant smile on his face asked me to leave, this was a frustrating experience. We were ready to buy on the spot and the price we were asking was comparable elsewhere so it amazes me how they messed this deal up with us by trying to extort more money out of us. DONT TRUST THESE GUYS THEY ARE AS SHADY AS THEY COME!!!!!!!!!!! GO TO DILAWRI Dodge they were fantastic and honored their price they quoted us via email. We were in and out less than an hour. More

I was excited to After the test drive my girlfriend noticed a slight issue with the rear passenger side tire. There seemed to be something a bit off. I was excited to be getting out of a Hyundai Accent and did not notice it as much, but did bring it to the attention of the salesman and the finance manager who both assured me that the car would be checked over completely. I left it to them and there still seemed to be something off about it but it drove fine and they said they inspected everything and all was fine. When it came time for the first oil change that they insisted on at 5000km when the manual said 8000km, I asked about that and they told me that the manual will say that but that the oil is essentially sludge at that point. Funny how I heard the CONTRARY to that on a recent news story on how oils and engines are lasting longer and need less frequent oil changes. Anyway, I again asked about the brakes and the noises I was hearing and was again told that it was fine. I am not a mechanic and stupidly trusted their assessment. Now I am having SERIOUS issues with the breaks sticking and noise issues and am being told that I need completely new brakes front and rear at a cost of over $1000. When I asked why I was NEVER told this before, I was told that the only time the brakes were looked at was August of 2011...I bought the car in October and was GUARANTEED it would be looked over COMPLETELY. When I asked about this the service adviser basically couldn't answer and just wanted to end the call. I am ending my business except for the undercoating I have with them. even then, i wouldn't be surprised if they mess that up too. More
