This was one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever encountered. The loan papers for my husband's truck were never gone over with me and that has been as big bone of contention as we agreed to 1 ever encountered. The loan papers for my husband's truck were never gone over with me and that has been as big bone of contention as we agreed to 1 bi-weekly rate and come to find out after the fact that it was raised by over $70.00 bi-weekly. The loans officer, Jason was called immediately on July 7th and told to put that loan on hold however that never occurred. An e-mail was sent to the dealership on Monday, July 8th stating the same thing but we were totally ignored as well. That was pretty obvious as the address was never corrected. They photocopied both of our drivers' licenses but could not manage to get our address right on either set of loan papers. The papers for my Tucson (which I hate by the way as I do not feel safe after being rear ended twice in less than a year with my Ford Explorer Sport 4X4 which is a lot higher and both the principal and sales manager were very aware of) were completely gone over and the address corrected on them. I was promised $1,000.00 in accessories but that never happened. I was also told by the sales manager that we would be receiving 2 $100.00 gas cards that would be mailed to us. That was over 1 1/2 weeks ago and to this date still nothing. There were promises made that were either forgotten or totally denied. I would tell anyone thinking of going to this dealership to RUN IN THE OTHER DIRECTION. Bought supposedly new Hyundai Tucson July 6th, there was 1600 km on it and I was told by Nigel that it was used by one of the managers. When my husband and I gave it a good cleaning, something that was never done by the dealer when we bought it, my husband discovered that the rear passenger;s floor mat (which was tucked up under the front seat) had a burn hole in it. This was about 5 weeks ago and as I was going out 3 weeks ago for an oil change I didn't call the dealership ahead of time but just took the mat with me when I went. Nigel was quite confrontational asking why I hadn't told them sooner. I was told at that time that it was about a $40.00 fix, no problem, it would be looked after, now it's an issue and they refuse to repair it. I bought the extended warranty, which I was told by Jason Fredericks, the loans officer would cover any damage like that. He specifically told me, if you get a burn hole in the seat that would fix it. I smoke but not in my new Tucson. 3 weeks ago I'm told they would fix it. I took it out 2 weeks ago and left it with service as I had an appointment to go out last Saturday to get my auto start fixed, it would start the Tucson but would not unlock the doors. Kirsten in service said they had yet to fix it but she would look into it. I just called and Kirsten put me though to Nigel who refused to do anything for me. I was told they bent over backwards for us which is a total lie, we received no perks what so ever, even thought we bought a 2013 Tucson and a 2008 Ford F150. They wouldn't even put an auto start in my husband's Ford. The auto start was already in the Tucson. SERVICE HAS BEEN WONDERFUL, IF YOU WANT QUALITY SERVICE THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO, HOWEVER DO NOT GO NEAR THE SALES DEPARTMENT AS THEY LIE LIKE RUGS. More

Was contacted by Porter and told he has a buyer that cannot afford the full price so the dealership was going to buy my car and finance it to them. 3. Made me drive an hr from home to see the car. I was told that it would be inspected by a mechanic and as long as everything is good the car would be sold. 4. Tried to sell me a Hyundai while I waited for my car to be inspected. 5. When I did not buy the Hyundai I was told that they will not buy my car. They offered my a wholesale price for it. I am not a wholesaler. I did not pay a wholesale price for my car. Nor was it listed for one. This dealership really is a stealership. They coned me into coming in just to try and sell me a crapbox. I just lost all respect I had for Hyundai. They lied to me multiple times. My vehicle was not even looked at by a mechanic and they did not even look at my add. Thy asked me stupid questions multiple times that were all listed on kijiji. I would not reccomend anyone deal with this business their staff all seemed shady. Especially the service manager that tried to muscle is way into the conversation and intimidate me. Sorry it didn't work. In the end they didn't even bring my car back to me. I had to walk all the way to the back of the dealership to pick it up. Unbelievable. I made my wife drive behind me because I thought my car would be sold. Please avoid this dealership at all costs. They will cheat and rob you. More
Even with the $500 incentive to refer people to this dealership I wouldn't dare subject my friends and family to this junk. My first new car experience, and it was horrible. I expected to walk out of th dealership I wouldn't dare subject my friends and family to this junk. My first new car experience, and it was horrible. I expected to walk out of there spending NO MORE then $27,000...and what did my bill of sale come to? $39,000. I feel scammed, and would never want to buy another new car due to this whole crap shoot. Don't expect to feel like part of a family, you are definitely just another buck in their eyes. In terms of servicing, I waited 4 hours at the dealership because the shuttle was jammed ( to her credit the shuttle lady is very nice )...but after everything was said and done, I got a measily $30 off of my $347 bill. They didn't lose any money off me as the final bill was to total $330. That was definitely the last straw for me ever going back. I wanted to push a complaint..but why bother, it's just going to fall on deaf ears. The review may sound like another dealership trying to discredit a competitor.... I can reassure you I'm just a poor sap who got taken advantage of. Just save yourself the anger and check out ANY other dealership..anywhere else. More

I bought a vehicle here, I was given a payment before I went into the finance office of $350. I reviewed my paperwork after signing and got home and they had added some anti theft fee and other fees over $ went into the finance office of $350. I reviewed my paperwork after signing and got home and they had added some anti theft fee and other fees over $1000 which was not ever discussed from the finance lady who was very unprofessional , she was wearing ugly glasses and braces not sure of her name. I called several times and asked to have an explanation was passed on to mike gardener the finance director and he refused to change or explain the extra fees, he always put me off or just didnt give me a straight answer. I would never shop here again service was horrible and there was even 560 km on my brand new car??? Buyer beware!!!!! Also the gm craig is very unhelpful and ignorant by this point I just cut my looses and take my business elsewhere. More
My wife and I went to look at Hyundai Santa Fe's and Tucson's. We were greeted by Alberto, who was a very nice and helpful salesman. Alberto took us for a test drive and gave us all the paperwork on the Tucson's. We were greeted by Alberto, who was a very nice and helpful salesman. Alberto took us for a test drive and gave us all the paperwork on the vehicle we liked the most. Alberto's boss, Noel, wanted to sit down with us and discuss a deal on the vehicle. Noel seemed nice at the time and promised us a lot of things, summer tires (that they had in storage), a set price with no hidden fees, 4% financing rate, etc. Once we agreed on a price I was to meet with Finance, Jason, in 5 minutes. Everything at Sherwood Hyundai is 5 minutes, which really means 20-45minutes. So my wife went home as we told the babysitter we would only be gone for a few hours and had been waiting for finance for over 30 minutes, after shopping for 1 hour at other local dealers. I met with Jason who was very friendly, just never explained everything to me, but he did tell me the best he could get me was 5.99% financing rate (another Noel lie) and I was just ready to leave (cause I was sick of sitting around waiting). He showed me some numbers and they were close to what Noel had showed me so I signed the paperwork. Before I left Noel promised that when I came back on Monday at 4 pm I would have my summer tires installed. On Monday when I was looking into insurance I noticed 2 hidden fees I had never discussed with Noel. I decided to discuss this with him when I got to the dealership. Arriving there I was told the service department was double booked and would not do my car until a week later. Noel was not around, or so I was told, so I decided to wait for the call I was promised to set up a summer tire install for next week. After a week of no calls I called 5 times, I was told Noel and Alberto were busy and would call me back. No calls were returned. So I put my frustration on Twitter and 5 minutes later I had John call me. He asked how my service was and my experience at Sherwood Hyundai, I told him I was very frustrated with not having promises fulfilled and no one returning my calls. John booked me in for a tire change with service at 4pm the following evening. I arrived at 350pm to be told I was not booked in and I could come back tomorrow morning to have the tires installed. I informed service I work at 7 am and could be later but only about 8am. Service promised I would delivered at work by 8am. I arrived at 7am the next day and was in a shuttle with multiple people, the Driver Joanne was very very nice and it was not her fault I was dropped off at 9am, the service department should not have promised I would be at work by 8am. Joanne was great and very sweet as she offered to work late to pick me up so I would be picked up right at 330pm from work. I received a call from Alberto during a meeting at work about the tires they had found in storage for my vehicle, they were another set of winter tires. I did not have time to complain so I just said put them on and I will be there at 4pm to get my vehicle. I asked to speak with Noel when I arrived and he said 5 minutes, get use to that time if you go here. Noel never came to talk to me, and after 15 minutes I walked the show room to see if I could grab Noel or Alberto to talk. Craig came out instead and introduced himself as the GM of the dealership. I discussed my frustrations with Craig, the 200+km's of driving back and forth from dealer to home, being late for work, unfulfilled promises, 2 sets of winter tires, no summer tires and surprising extra costs. Craig immediately ordered me summer tires, set me up with an appointment for the tire change and promised me a dealer vehicle for the day my vehicle was in for service. Craig upheld every promise he made to me and even came in to work early so I could be at work on time. Craig even has sent in a request to give me back $400 for the questionable cost Noel added to my bill. I would go back to Sherwood Hyundai for another vehicle but I would deal only with Alberto and Craig. Stay far far away from Noel he will promise you everything and will not follow through with it. Overall I am now happy with my vehicle, it is a great family vehicle, has winter tires and brand new summer tires, remote car starter and full warranty until 2015. With the $400 back, we got the vehicle for about $2000 less than all the comparable vehicles we saw on kijiji and auto trader. Craig, Alberto and Jason will be getting business sent to them from me but like I posted earlier I will make sure no one deals with Noel. Honestly if it wasn't for Craig's help the past few days this review would have been all bad or very bad. Sherwood Park Hyundai is like every dealer, just be careful and don't get tricked into taking the lies and make sure they fulfill their promises. Good luck everyone. More
The staff at Sherwood Hyundai were great! The deal they gave me was fantastic, but more important was the service they provided to me and concern for my needs and the after sales follow. DO NOT buy a car at this dealership! I had never had such a bad experience consumer-wise and had to fight over 2 months over a deffective bran-new car I bought there. I purchased my Hyundai 2007 Sante Fe on February 14, 2009 and have always serviced it with Sherwood Park Hyundai. I have had both-- excellent service appointments and the worst of the worst service appointme and have always serviced it with Sherwood Park Hyundai. I have had both-- excellent service appointments and the worst of the worst service appointments from oil changes, regular maintenance, to factory recalls. It is my last service visit I wish to comment on. On Feb 7 2013, I arrived at the scheduled time of 10 am for an oil change and service to my vehicle. When I arrived, my first thought was--everyone must have got the same memo; there must have been at least 6 vehicles already in the bay area. I thought darn, I should have booked the shuttle as I am going to have a long wait. To my surprise in less than 5 minutes things started moving. I was directed into the bay area with my vehicle by a "female" Service Advisor. She immediately came over to me, introduced herself, took my keys, asked if I would be using their shuttle service today and directed me to the waiting area. There were no questions like--why are you bringing your vehicle here today; what services are we doing for you today; can you turn on your wipers, now your signal lights and so on. I never wanted to be a service tech. The girl just took charge. I went and sat and actually enjoyed a great tasting complementary flavored coffee. The tone of the Dealership defiantly had a different improved. In no time, my vehicle was ready and I was called to the service bay to pick it up. At that time, I mentioned I had haphazardly dropped a metal pill vial under the mechanized front seat and after numerous tries; I had not been able to retrieve it. The Service Advisor instantly went over to service area and asked for extra help. Two service individuals worked on the seat and retrieved my tiny metal pill vial, straightaway, and with no extra cost. I give my sincere thanks to Jodi, the Service Advisor and to Jamie an Internal Installer for —“GOING THAT EXTRA MILE.” Vi More
