We purchased a 2013 Santa Fe from SPH in Jan and it has been a gong show! We have a lemon and they can't find a fix for the issues. It was bad enough that the detail dept kept messing up the 3M and diamond been a gong show! We have a lemon and they can't find a fix for the issues. It was bad enough that the detail dept kept messing up the 3M and diamond shield and we kept having to go back. The damaged the windshield by having to remove & reapply the diamond shield so many times. The replaced the windshield but my car came back with some nasty scratches on the hood. They took care of that too and even had their lot attendant drive it out to me.Problem is the transmission went on the way out and he didn't notice (4,800 km) and when I drove it into town, I got stranded. Oh, did I mention the steering is so bad you have to fight to keep this thing between the lines! Very dangerous on the hwy! Then there is the check engine light and check gas cap light that keep coming on, the car stalls and shudders. The steering problem is dangerous. Stay well clear of this dealership,If you decide to go there to buy, get everything in writing and have it witnessed.Better yet tape it all,They do NOT keep their word. They prefer to line their own pockets than keep a repeat customer happy. Do yourself a favor and go to Leduc Hyundai where they use honesty and integrity.Craig Sabourin is a shifty crook and was selling/dealing with sales with an expired sales license. Not enough room here to get into details. BTW, a review posted on google reviews awhile back by Dalton Bullock....guess what! He works at SPH (lot attendant)and the Owners name is Bob Bullock. They have to get family to put up good reviews because no one who has dealt with them will! Go to their website and check staff** To the person who gave a 10000$ deposit they refuse to return, call AMVIC! All of the *good* staff have left for greener pastures and SPH is just another low life scam dealership. Folks, do you know about AMVIC?Or CAMVAP? AMVIC handles complaints about dealerships and sales people and shifty dealings. CAMVAP deals with lemons and works with the consumer and the manufacturer to try to help resolve issues. More

I went to Hyundai dealership in Sherwood Park to look at possibly purchasing a new Hyundai, Sales rep was inexperienced and pushy, however the worse offender was finance manager, they would not listen to wh possibly purchasing a new Hyundai, Sales rep was inexperienced and pushy, however the worse offender was finance manager, they would not listen to what I wanted. I felt very uncomfortable, and did not enjoy my experience at all. They kept pushing to sign documents aswell as putting a down payment right then, when all I requested was possible payment options. Even after saying how uncomfortable I was they still pushed to get a comittment out of me, Even asking if locating the color was a problem I was told they want downpayment just to see if vehicle came in that color. Absolutley appalled at their behavior, Had my brother not been with me I'm sure i would been driving away in a ugly Hyundai Tuscon. It was bad enough that he had to fight with them to get my keys back for possible trade in. My brother delt with Hyundai on the Southside, and said they were really good there. I will try one more time. But I will be going in with my guard up!!!! More
There are other reviews about this dealership that describe bad buying experiences related to high pressure sales tactics. Now that I have witnessed some of those tactics myself I can only believe tha describe bad buying experiences related to high pressure sales tactics. Now that I have witnessed some of those tactics myself I can only believe that those negative reviews might be accurate. I would not recommend this dealership unless you are able and comfortable dealing in a high pressure sales environment. Sherwood Park Hyundai have no qualms about including options into a contract, even if you tell them you don't want those options. Then when it comes time to sign the paperwork, even though you say NO to options you told them you did not want, they will continue to pressure. For many people the result can be buyer's remorse. I suggest "buyers beware" if you want to do business with this dealership. More
My experience with Sherwood Park Hyundai started off bad to begin with the purchase of my vehicle. They brought my jeep in from a dealership on red deer and tried to tell me the vehicle was listed at $4200 to begin with the purchase of my vehicle. They brought my jeep in from a dealership on red deer and tried to tell me the vehicle was listed at $42000, however I was able to go online and find the exact jeep listed at $38000 from the dealership they were getting it. I has to confront them on this however if I had never looked online I could have easily been out a few thousand dollars more. Once I had bought the jeep from them they had to install a hitch as part of the purchase agreement. They attempted to install the hitch 3 times before they said they were done. Once I had the vehicle back and tested it, the electrical wiring was not working. I brought it back to them to have them fix it. They attempted another 2 times to fix it before they said it was a problem with the jeep and not the hitch they installed and advised me to take it to another dealership. Once at a jeep dealer they fixed the wiring so it would work, however while they were doing this they noticed the wiring that SP Hyundai installed was a very cheap hitch and was already rusting and corroding with uncovered wires underneath the vehicle. So I then called SP Hyundai and spoke with their Service Manager Jason who agreed they would pay for the bill to fix the hitch properly. Once the work was done and complete I brought the bill to Jason who then changed his mind that the bill of $980 was too big to cover and that he wants to get the Jeep dealership to lower the bill. In the mean time I am out almost $1000. I found that Jason was ignoring my phone calls and not returning messages. I had to drive to the dealership daily in order to be able to talk to him. On top of all that I am still here so that they can redo my 3M for the third time. I hope that they can finally get it right so that I never have to deal with Sherwood Park Hyundai again. By far the worst dealership from sales to service that I have ever been to. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM OR GO TO THEM FOR SERVICE. More
I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone, not even my worst enemy. They are very pushy, they move very quickly so you don't really have time to take everything in. Craig got very rude, he makes even my worst enemy. They are very pushy, they move very quickly so you don't really have time to take everything in. Craig got very rude, he makes a million promises and then when you go back at him about the promises he made he doesn't remember making them. I was ignored through email and phone, so it got to the point where I actually went into the store and made sure I couldn't be ignored!!! They are very unorganized, you deal with 3 or 4 different people to finalize the deal, and its like none of them even spoke to each other. I had to have my contract redone 3 different times until they got it right. All they are worried about is getting you to sign that piece of paper!!! As for the owner, Bob Bullock, he is the more arrogant person I have ever met in my life. Personally, I would be ashamed to even admit I owned such a horrible operation. They are crooks, they make everything sound so good, but trust me, you can get way better deals with friendly staff at another dealership. I felt taken advantage of, they ruined the fun of buying a new car. I can't say anything bad about the service department. I have had nothing but friendly experiences with them. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! THEY ARE CROOKS, LIARS, SCAMMERS.. IF YOU WANT A GOOD EXPERIENCE BUYING A CAR, THIS IS NOT THE DEALERSHIP FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More
My wife and I went to Sherwood Hyundai looking for a new vehicle to replace our old Kia which had sustained some damage in an accident. As the Kia was still drivable and we were waiting on the insurance co vehicle to replace our old Kia which had sustained some damage in an accident. As the Kia was still drivable and we were waiting on the insurance company we made it clear that we were just sounding out the market and also that we did not want to spend a great deal of money. Savin Kim, the salesperson, was a pleasant and likable young man who showed us a used vehicle he thought might fit our needs if we decided to buy. It was somewhat more than we wanted to pay, but it seemed like a good buy so we took it for a test drive. All went well until our return to the showroom and the introduction of the manager into the scene. After that I felt like the accused criminal in a good cop bad cop routine. We were immediately subjected to what I regard as high pressure sales tactics. The more pressure that was put on us to buy the more I felt like leaving the dealership. A minor incident added to the tension. I was asked to surrender my keys so that someone could check out our Kia. The problem was that the keys were not returned and it seemed to me that this was a deliberate ploy to keep us from walking out of the showroom. However, since we were expecting the Kia to be a write-off and we did like the vehicle we had been shown we stayed and continued to negotiate. Finally we agreed to put a thousand dollar deposit on the vehicle to hold it for three days while waiting for the insurance evaluation. It turned out that the insurance company thought the vehicle could be repaired and did not need to be replaced, so we returned to the dealership, found Savin Kim and explained what had happened. We were told to wait while he told the manager and arranged our refund. An hour later we were still waiting and my wife had returned to the car. At that point I let the unpleasant side of my nature reveal itself. I went to the front desk, demanded my refund and threatened to tell all the other potential customers in the showroom what I thought of the way I was being treated. I was told I couldn't do that and I told them to go ahead and call the police as that would make for an even better scene. At that point the manager was finally prompted to appear. After another few minutes of blather he finally did what he could have done an hour before and returned our deposit. In fact it took him less than ten seconds to sign the refund order. The point is that a good deal of unpleasantness could have been avoided if we had been attended to more quickly. Waiting a few minutes for the manager to close a deal is one thing; waiting more than an hour and then having to resort to an outburst of anger to get proper service is quite another. Given my experience I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. I don't know if all Hyundai dealers are like Sherwood Hyundai, but you won't get me anywhere near that establishment again in the remainder of my lifetime. More
I bought a new Santa Fe earlier this week. I had buyer's remorse about the deal ( I was ready to walk away from the deal after speaking to the financing guy, even though I was paying cash) after I buyer's remorse about the deal ( I was ready to walk away from the deal after speaking to the financing guy, even though I was paying cash) after I left and still wasn't feeling great about it the next day when I took it in to be detailed. I spoke with Noel about it and discussed what could be done to rectify it. Noel gave me several options and we came up with solution that worked for both of us. Now I am happy, Noel gets a great rating for being an upstanding and very fair guy and we all walk away happy. Thanks to Tammy for getting the deal started and many thanks to Alberto for stepping in and getting the detail work organized and walking me through my vehicle's features.
