Happy with our 2018 Kia Sorento purchase. My wife and I have just completed our second purchase at Northland Kia. WORST "service" CENTRE in CALGARY 6 calls 2 emails 5000km over due for an oil change. We spend $1400.00 on service for life of the vehicle. Once we got an "appointment" the one and only service staff notified us that the wait would be several hours because an appointment is like a drop in and they are busy. More
Taking you for a ride for all of your money ( and more) I am/was returning customer and thought that being a loyal customer would be a benefit. However, A sale prrson sold me a quit a few "5 star " additional warranties claiming that with those upfront investment I would save on ALL additional costs during services. Well , read small print: nothing is covered. I was promised a free tire swap and rotation- guess what , it's not for free it is for a regular price. I had a service done less then 6 m ago- additional services were performed and they were required to be done again as a part of the "scheduled service " again. Guess why: they didn't have it in the record. Previously mentioned "5star warranty " includes paint repairs and stain removal from the interior - I will request that and update my post after. I can only anticipate the answer: nothing is covered More

They do try to up sell the service, but I would say just stick to the owners manual service guidelines for your vehicle and things should be fine . An example of things offer to us by the service dept like major fuel service is not even listed in the manual and is not required by the manufacture unless your having issues .So do your reading of your book that comes with your vehicle and understand its like any other business they want to make money at your expense . I think the counter staff make a commission on the up sells, but then again they might point out something you have missed . For us we are happy and like the dealership and have never had a concern with the staff. Also we love our purchase and its a great SUV. More
Not trustworthy There is always something wrong with the car after I get it serviced. I feel they are trying to up-sell me all the time. Last time I had the car serviced, I was told it had been hand washed. Yes, correct, including oily hand prints on the door! The previous time I had the car polished/waxed as there seemed to be a strange coating on the paint and I could not get the car clean. The polish/wax cost was considerable, the result less than satisfactory. Several months later I still see areas where the wax had not been properly removed. The staff are not trustworthy. They pretend that they know what they're talking about and their statements are so artificial (i.e. you have been taking good care of your car, blah blah). I would go as far as stating that I don't trust that they properly check all the points that are noted on the form. More

I decided to take my Kia Soul into a dealership (because they know best, right?) to get First of all, I should have read the reviews - lesson learned. I decided to take my Kia Soul into a dealership (because they know best, right?) to get two tires replaced. Upon several other recommendations for services, I also had my windshield wipers swapped out. The cliches about dealerships really are true. The tires were fine, except for a grinding sound that suddenly appeared after the work (when I turn my wheel). Also, $120 later I had new windshield wipers -- that left streaks aka didn't work. Not only that I had to go back and forth with departments to communicate what each of them told me. As a customer, I feel like it is the dealership's job to handle communications between their departments. Then, I tried to reach their service manager multiple times with no response. It's now been hours of wasted time, from bringing and picking the car up and phone calls. I just had my insurance company approve them as a vendor, for another repair, but after that run-around it's left a bad taste and I won't be returning to them - ever. More
First time service at Northland Kia I was met by very friendly service staff and manager and taken care of promptly, to determine where an oil leak was coming from, along with installati I was met by very friendly service staff and manager and taken care of promptly, to determine where an oil leak was coming from, along with installation of a tow hitch. The parts manager Dan Clarke was extremely helpful when the size of the hitch wasn't the size I required to fit my existing bike rack. Dan, knowing parts, found an adapter in short order that fit. This saved me spending over $300 on another bike rack. Thanks Dan. More
Service department I had a lot of body paint issues with my Kia Rio 5 door, low quality paint, but nobody is taken responsibility, service manager said they are result o I had a lot of body paint issues with my Kia Rio 5 door, low quality paint, but nobody is taken responsibility, service manager said they are result of sand crashing, it is funny because back of the car got rusty, when sand crashing is more in front of the car. Any way I made appointment to fix this problem, and I dropped my car there in last appointment night (As representative advised me) next day somebody call me and say to take back my car, I asked the reason she said our body shop person not available until next month, I surprised and got aggressive and ask when your body shop person was not available why did you confirm appointment with me. They made me disappointed and waste my time a lot. Second thing when I purchased the car sales man said there is 5 years oil and filter changing free of charge without any conditions. Now they are saying I have to do some recommended services to get this promotion. After all I prefer never go there again. If you are going to buy a car from there be careful and ask to give a hard copy for some offers they are giving to you. More
Very dishonest and Shady dealership Bought a used car in January, they told me they registered the car for me. A month later luckily I checked with AMA who confirmed not only did they Bought a used car in January, they told me they registered the car for me. A month later luckily I checked with AMA who confirmed not only did they not register it, they lied about it having an out of province inspection. Luckily I was not stopped by the police. I talked to salesman and their finance dept who said "oh ya it was done in December" . Well AMA confirmed hat was false as they would have had to register it within 14 days. I asked for reimbursement of the costs associated with it but will not give me a response. Very dishonest and shady dealership.. More
No word of honour!!! POOR IN RESOLVING ISSUES I am rating 2 for helping me out with the deal and trying to accommodate my financial requirements but was disappointed with the closure of the sale. As I was transacting with Ash on the finances and papers, he asked me if I want a remote starter for my car. It will be an add-on feature which I agreed for an additional cost of around $500+. After papers were done, it's time to bring the vehicle home. At the time of handover, I asked Vinh where the remote starter is and he asked Ash and replied that it will follow because they need to order. Fine and good for me. Vinh also told me that can be done together during my first service as well. After a month, I called Vinh to check and he said it hasn't come. Months pass by with various followups on the remote starter, until I reached 6k km and it is time for my 1st service. I followup and Vinh told me there is no remote starter in the package. We further brought up the discussion to Ash since he was the one closing the deal and Ash gave me the same response. He kept insisting it was not part of the deal which is true that is why I was asked if I wanted it to be added. Considering the financials were correct but the thought that you let the customer believe and not delivering... that is not a customer service. If Ash forgot to key in the feature, should that be the customer's fault? Very disappointed and if you do not want to be a victim of this POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, DO NOT BUT FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Ash is a manager of this store and very poor in resolving the issue. No word of honour!!! More
