They tried forcing me to buy an overpriced set of accessories and pay extra fees not included in the advertised price ($38,267) of a brand new Kia Sportage HEV. First, they told me they install a accessories and pay extra fees not included in the advertised price ($38,267) of a brand new Kia Sportage HEV. First, they told me they install a "mandatory package" on every vehicle, and I have to buy it for an additional $2000. The package includes an engine block heater (the only thing I wanted and was ready to pay extra for), wheel locks, and other made-up or overpriced things, among them nitrogen-filled tires. Nitrogen? Really? 78% of the air we are breathing is nitrogen anyway. Then, they tried charging me additional fees, such as AMVIC, tire, documentation, and AC, on top of the vehicle price we finally agreed to. Charging additional cash for fees and accessories not included in the advertised price, except GST and financing charges, violates Automotive Business Regulation. ABR is a part of the Consumer Protection Act and came into effect on October 31, 2018. It was published by Alberta Queen's Printer and can be found on Alberta Queen’s Printer website. Their Sales Manager is arrogant. First, he told me how big of a favour he was doing me, not forcing me to pay for that "mandatory package" but agreeing that I buy just a block heater. He even assured me that I was his first customer ever he made such an exception! I hardly believe that. Then, when I brought up the Automotive Business Regulation, he responded, "this is not the law but just a recommendation, and I can add whatever I want on top of the price." You can as long as this is included in the advertised price. All-in pricing is the law in Alberta. I did not buy a vehicle with them. In fact, the North Edmonton Kia staff did a great job making me think twice if I ever again consider buying a Kia. I get this: there is a shortage of new vehicles on the market, and dealerships want to make extra money on what they can sell. And that is totally fine. It is a free market - as long as you are honest about it and advertise the total price, as is required by law. Educate yourself before visiting any dealership, and don't let them take advantage of you. Start on the AMVIC website. More
Terrible experience. .worst customer service ever.they lie just to make sales. I went there because we need a mini van because my wife is giving birth and I was very clear .worst customer service ever.they lie just to make sales. I went there because we need a mini van because my wife is giving birth and I was very clear about that and they said no problem. They promise me January but till now it's not here..they always say it's coming soon and promise that they will lend me a vehicle for the meantime to use..but at that time that will get the vehicle they say we can't lend you a vehicle..and the worst they can't even apologize for the stress and disappointment that they made More
They dont disclose all the information before you sign the contract. I asked for a copy of the cars inspection report and they tried to hide one page from the carfax that showed TWO ACCIDENTS that were re the contract. I asked for a copy of the cars inspection report and they tried to hide one page from the carfax that showed TWO ACCIDENTS that were repaired. Are you kidding me?!? They almost had a sale from me and I would have droven off the lot being stuck with a van that breaks down with no warrenty. Someone should investigate they are breaking the law and are very pushy to get you to sign right away. It's almost as if you don't sign the sale right away, you will not be able to buy the car next time at the same price. They are shady More

PLEASE READ ALL. I cant review each experience separately so I have to include each of my terrible experiences in a single post. THIS DEALERSHIP IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. After sales service could separately so I have to include each of my terrible experiences in a single post. THIS DEALERSHIP IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. After sales service couldn't possibly be worse, from lies to over billing to complete incompetence. I Couldn't possibly regret buying a vehicle here more. Had severed all ties with the dealership and now use another unaffiliated KIA dealership with dramatically better results. West End Kia is great! First the Car failed within 10,000km. Not only did they misdiagnose the problem them completely ignored trying to get parts for several months. Only, after multiple follow-ups, and 6 months, did they finally realize the parts were in stock at another dealership. During the sales process we were promised some free oil changes. On my first visit they didn't mention it so, after I asked, they literally just changed the invoice from oil change to shop supplies for the exact same price down to the penny. After taking the car in for a number of issues, they did not even complete some work to resolve a known headlight issue. When questioned about it the service department read back a description of the problem from the work order, of which I already had a printed copy, and claimed the description was actual work history proving the work was completed. It was not. Funny thing about headlights, it's very easy to see the problem wasn't fixed. I had to go buy specialty tools to fix the problem that they already billed KIA Canada for "fixing" After my third visit for the same suspension problem, they found the correct problem, struts failed. They supposedly replaced them, but the problem continued within days. I completely gave up on this dealership. A second dealership diagnosed the problem within 2 minutes of a ride along, actually replaced the struts that day and completely solved the issued within 6 hrs. The new dealer seemed completely amazed that 2 new struts could fail immediately. But it wouldn't be the first time I was mislead and lied to by North Edmonton Kia. I'll never know if they actually changed anything, but given all the previous lies, it seems more probable that i was misled, than new struts would fail immediately. Would never allow them to touch my car again, for anything, warranty or not. More
Good business is built on integrity, and character. The trust a company deserves is based on ; How the representatives of a company mange conflict resolution, display respect, and support those from vulne trust a company deserves is based on ; How the representatives of a company mange conflict resolution, display respect, and support those from vulnerable demographics . As a nurse I have been privileged to work as part of multidisciplinary team in many settings of care. Integrity is one of the most important aspects of any field. I am writing a review because it is beyond my good conscience to expose any vulnerable individuals to the misgiving of this company. I was horrified to hear that an elderly member of my family with compromised mental health was coerced into a contract. I was further horrified when I heard that the other elderly partner of this individual went before the managment of this team pleading for aide and was treated so horribly. The contract had been signed when he was not present and able to assist his partner. Even if the contract could not be adjusted, the disrespect and unprofessionalism given to this couple left me close to tears. When the contract was asked to be revised , the female sales associate who sold the vehicle from this location, laughed at the misfortune of this couple….in their face! The elderly women returned with another member of her family and the manager refused to see them and they were told “I don’t want to see her face again”. When they refused to leave the team called the police. I am disgusted and horrified that a business can so callously prey on the vulnerable and than scoff at the pain of others. If individuals can show as little empathy, and character as they have for this couple, I am horrified to think of what else they take advantage of. If you have anyone vulnerable this is not the place to go, morals and integrity are missing in the character of the staff. More
