This was all after negotiating nearly 5000$ more off presumably the same thing. Out of sheer principle I just cannot support this sort of practice. And then to tell me that “they literally have no room to move on the sale”. Amazing. Well, best of luck. I’m sure someone will pay without reading the fine print. NEK - you do know that All in pricing is the law in Alberta yes? so posting one price on your website, and then adding in your extras is actually illegal. More

Went to look at 1 car but also saw another one I wanted to see. Sales guy said “well aren’t you a greedy little woman?” Then they put the other car inside and seemed put out when I said yes, I want to try to see. Sales guy said “well aren’t you a greedy little woman?” Then they put the other car inside and seemed put out when I said yes, I want to try this one too. We told the salesperson several times that this was going to be my vehicle but the salesman put me in the backseat for the test drive. We looked at multiple other dealerships but couldn’t find what I was looking for, so had to go back. After the purchase the salesman went to give the keys to my husband- who said why are you giving me the keys, it’s my wife’s car. He then again later tried to give my husband the keys….. unbelievable. More
They tried forcing me to buy an overpriced set of accessories and pay extra fees not included in the advertised price ($38,267) of a brand new Kia Sportage HEV. First, they told me they install a accessories and pay extra fees not included in the advertised price ($38,267) of a brand new Kia Sportage HEV. First, they told me they install a "mandatory package" on every vehicle, and I have to buy it for an additional $2000. The package includes an engine block heater (the only thing I wanted and was ready to pay extra for), wheel locks, and other made-up or overpriced things, among them nitrogen-filled tires. Nitrogen? Really? 78% of the air we are breathing is nitrogen anyway. Then, they tried charging me additional fees, such as AMVIC, tire, documentation, and AC, on top of the vehicle price we finally agreed to. Charging additional cash for fees and accessories not included in the advertised price, except GST and financing charges, violates Automotive Business Regulation. ABR is a part of the Consumer Protection Act and came into effect on October 31, 2018. It was published by Alberta Queen's Printer and can be found on Alberta Queen’s Printer website. Their Sales Manager is arrogant. First, he told me how big of a favour he was doing me, not forcing me to pay for that "mandatory package" but agreeing that I buy just a block heater. He even assured me that I was his first customer ever he made such an exception! I hardly believe that. Then, when I brought up the Automotive Business Regulation, he responded, "this is not the law but just a recommendation, and I can add whatever I want on top of the price." You can as long as this is included in the advertised price. All-in pricing is the law in Alberta. I did not buy a vehicle with them. In fact, the North Edmonton Kia staff did a great job making me think twice if I ever again consider buying a Kia. I get this: there is a shortage of new vehicles on the market, and dealerships want to make extra money on what they can sell. And that is totally fine. It is a free market - as long as you are honest about it and advertise the total price, as is required by law. Educate yourself before visiting any dealership, and don't let them take advantage of you. Start on the AMVIC website. More
Terrible experience. .worst customer service ever.they lie just to make sales. I went there because we need a mini van because my wife is giving birth and I was very clear about that and they said no problem. They promise me January but till now it's not here..they always say it's coming soon and promise that they will lend me a vehicle for the meantime to use..but at that time that will get the vehicle they say we can't lend you a vehicle..and the worst they can't even apologize for the stress and disappointment that they made More
