We really did not expect such poor service from Honda Kanata We were EXTREMELY disappointed with the lack of customer service by a FINANCE MANAGER. We really did not expect such poor service from Honda Canada; especially given how competitive the auto sector is. Last year when we bought the vehicle, the Finance Manager persuaded us to purchase the extended warranty (spent over $3000 in purchasing two types of warranty) and guaranteed that coverage would be bumper to bumper. Our external temperature sensor suddenly stopped working recently and the dealership refused to cover it under the warranty. The Service Advisor was friendly and understanding but when we saw the same Finance Manager that sold us the warranty last year he seemed indifferent and unwilling to solve the situation. He shrugged off the problem saying "its only $200" and simply handed us a warranty brochure saying to go home and review our contract (which we asked if he could pull from his files but said it was archived and could not access it). Worst of all, we went home and reviewed the brochure and noticed that electrical sensors were covered under the warranty. In fact, we could not find any exclusion under the extended warranty for the sensor repair. My husband and I have vowed to NEVER have our vehicle serviced at any Honda dealership again nor to purchase ANY Honda vehicle. I hope Honda Canada realizes that they lost thousands in future revenue over saving $200 in warranty repairs. More

The next day, Tom, who had sold us previous cars, showed us a line of vehicles based on our needs. In less than two hours, we had completed all paperwork to purchase a vehicle. Tom always looks after us extremely well, ensures we receive the best deal possible, goes over the new car with us to customize setup and comfort, and makes sure we are happy with every detail before we drive off the lot in a new car. Don't trust their service centre!! Took my Odyssey in and reported a transmission problem. Was told I didn't know what I was talking about and sent on my way. Transmission died completely when I was 2.5 hours from home. Needed an entirely new transmission and was stranded. Paid out of pocket to tow it to the nearest Honda dealership. Single mom without my car for 3 weeks and Kanata Honda assumed zero responsibility. They even refused to help me get my car back to Ottawa despite admitting that they had on record that I had brought the van in and reported that there was a problem with it. Everyone makes mistakes. But it's how you make things right after making those mistakes that matters. Kanata Honda did nothing to right their wrong. More
