Bought a Honda civic at kanata Honda - love the car - sales person was great- my problem was with some service I had on a tire - I had a tire fixed - the next day tire was flat - I called two consecutive sales person was great- my problem was with some service I had on a tire - I had a tire fixed - the next day tire was flat - I called two consecutive days to ask on advice to get it fixed - both days I called at least five times and no answer - when I did get thru I got a person who took my name and number and told me I would get a call back before the end of the day! I have never got a call back and that was over a week ago! I know it’s a busy time of year but a call doesn’t take that long!!! Does it!! Also I have a recall on a safety issue with fuel - and they told me it could be scheduled for Jan 21st - really a safety recall and not able to do for a month!! I really frustrated with lack of follow-up calls and length of time to a safety recall! Time to deal elsewhere!!! More
I recently had a deeply disappointing experience at Kanata Honda during a routine oil change service. Upon picking up my car, I was shocked to discover significant damage that was not present before th Kanata Honda during a routine oil change service. Despite reaching out to the management team, my concerns were brushed aside with little regard for customer satisfaction. During the service, a piece of decorative trim near the front on the driver's side of my car was broken, and there were several extensive scratches adjacent to it. Despite providing clear evidence of the damage and expressing my disappointment, Kanata Honda refused to take responsibility. They insisted that unless I could prove the damage wasn't there before the service, they were not liable. What's more concerning is that this is not just a simple car wash issue. The damage could have easily occurred while their technician was working on my car, yet they failed to acknowledge this possibility. As a loyal customer who has purchased multiple vehicles from Honda, this level of disregard for customer care is unacceptable. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue directly with their Sales Manager Peter Fu, he chose to ignore my complaint entirely, leaving me no choice but to escalate the matter. It's evident that they prioritize their bottom line over customer satisfaction and integrity. I urge anyone considering service at Kanata Honda to proceed with caution. Their lack of accountability and disregard for customer concerns is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the company's reputation. I hope my experience serves as a warning to others, and I will be exploring alternative service providers moving forward. More
PREDATORY SCAMMERS. Absolutely horrified by the service my 88 year old grandmother received. She assessed as needing $2000 worth of repairs before trading in. Got her car checked at our regular mechanic and was told he had never seen a car in such good condition. Didn't need a single one of the repairs they quoted. They tried to scam a little old lady out of TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. Absolutely disgusting humans. More
Went in on a quiet Friday thinking it would be easy to get help. Walked around for 30ish minutes looking at vehicles, even taking pics. No one offered to help. Or ask if I needed anything. I have a complaint about the service department. My wife, Yvette bought a 2019 Honda Civic in 2019 and purchased the "Honda Plus" warranty. Recently she started seeing alarms on her dashboard that w My wife, Yvette bought a 2019 Honda Civic in 2019 and purchased the "Honda Plus" warranty. Recently she started seeing alarms on her dashboard that were apparently related to a faulty multi-purpose camera at the front of her vehicle. We were told that it was driver error even though there was no damage done to the front of her vehicle. Due to the fact that it was driver error it was not covered under warranty and it would cost roughly $2500.00 to repair. We picked up the car at a cost of $84.75 to cover trouble-shooting. The new camera had to be ordered which was apparently done on Dec.29th, 2023 by Adam Wehbe. He informed me that it would be received by Jan. 5th, 2024 and he would contact me to make an appointment. I have yet to receive that phone call and it is now Jan. 9th, 2024. In the meantime we have taken our car to another Honda dealership for a 2nd opinion. Upon check-in we were told that because we had the "Honda Plus" warranty the trouble-shooting cost was covered. We were also offered a complementary car-wash...something not offered at the Kanata dealership. After inspection we received a phone call stating that the camera needed to be replaced and that it was a manufacturer's defect so it was covered under warranty. The part will be in by the end of the week. We picked up the cleaned car and it didn't cost us a penny!!! We have lost complete trust and confidence in Kanata Honda!!! More
I would like to thank Jack the salesman who showed us the Honda 2021 Civic. He did a great job and was able to speak in both French and English very clearly. But only changed our mind at the last minute when we realized that we could buy a new car for only $3000 more than the used one. Jack was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. The owner of the Kanata Honda branch in Ottawa should be completely embarrassed by the terrible customer service and lack of personal resolve to make the ongoing problems right in regards to my 2019 Honda P completely embarrassed by the terrible customer service and lack of personal resolve to make the ongoing problems right in regards to my 2019 Honda Pilot Black edition. Overall, I have spent way too much time and money with ongoing electrical problems with my centre console; it's beyond ridiculous. After being a loyal Honda owner who has purchased a new Honda Odyssey and new Honda Pilot Black edition from Kanata Honda I can truly say that I will never purchase a Honda again after this experience. Like others have said. They do everything they can to make unnecessary and expensive repairs to your vehicle. They do not go to bat for you even with an extended warranty. Honda's quality, engineering and reliability has declined significantly over the decades and it's compounded by a dealer who will not hesitate to do unnecessary and poor work on your vehicle. They’re more than great when they sell you a vehicle but you're on your own once they have your money. BUYER BEWARE!!! More
