Later in the day, kanata Ford service rep notifies my wife that a complete brake maintenance on back and front pads/rotor is needed. They said the mechanic saw only the back brake pads beginning to seize. I asked for clarification, since I've never heard of brake pad seizing on a brand new vehicle and he said this is only recommended maintenance($300). I checked with other Ford dealerships and they DON'T have this recommended brake maintenance at 24k. Two issues, I see wrong here: One is a dealership doing unnecessary service at the expense of the customer. Secondly, if this recommended maintenance, they should have mentioned to my wife when she dropped off the vehicle. Long story short, I no longer go to Kanata Ford for service. More
internet specialist is brutal, salesperson less responsive I went in to negotiate on an Expedition Max Platinum. Salesperson busy (I understand) but I email and text him with minimal response. I understand the I went in to negotiate on an Expedition Max Platinum. Salesperson busy (I understand) but I email and text him with minimal response. I understand these salespeople are just puppets on the sales manager's string, but its about customer service. Kanata Ford, Jim Hoddinott, wake up ! This is 2016 people want to do things via the web I tried dealing with the "Internet Specialist", Gerry Fahey, who doesn't return emails. Brutal Customer Service Take your business elsewhere. Snowball chance in xxxx i will ever buy from Kanata Ford More
Advertised special only available at KF for F150 After trying for two days to get basic details via telephone and internet (which engine, floor shifter etc.) on the current advertised special of $19, After trying for two days to get basic details via telephone and internet (which engine, floor shifter etc.) on the current advertised special of $19,000 off of an F150 to no avail always told I had to come in. I finally convinced myself to go into the dealership even though I vowed never to do so after purchasing a 2000 Lariat from them many years ago. Within seconds the salesmen in trying to justify the $19,000 and me rightly questioning him became extremely rude and arrogant and informed me to go elsewhere and pay more if I was not happy. Sorry cheap looking upgraded wheels (as per them worth $4K yah right), tinted windows and vinyl seats in my books don't add up to $19k maybe there was more to it but he did not want to elaborate. I was just expected to accept the fact that this was a good deal because they said so.....oh yeah truck came with V6 not even Ecoboost V6) Interestingly the sales manager joined the conversation and basically had the same attitude and response and within a few minutes he too told me to go elsewhere. Their arrogance is unbelievable stay away....too many good Ford dealers around Ottawa/Hull to encourage a dealer that treats current and potential customers like they are worthless pieces of. See all of the other negative reviews on here see the trend. In my books they don't even qualify for one star. STAY AWAY! More
Don't waste your time!! Go to Jim keay or Campbell Ford. If you feel like being lied to and you being called a liar, go to Kanata Ford. I bought two brand new trucks off these guys. Why I went back for the If you feel like being lied to and you being called a liar, go to Kanata Ford. I bought two brand new trucks off these guys. Why I went back for the second one after they wouldn't honor their warranty on my first one, the warranty which they so clearly ensured me would cover everything when they were selling it to me, was my biggest mistake. With my second one there was a big issue with my rims that they said I didn't order, then they wanted to charge me 2 thousand bucks for, which, by the way, seems to be a reoccurring issue at Kanata Ford judging by all the reviews I've read. On top of that I was scheduled to pick up the truck 4 times. The first three times the truck hadn't even been shipped out, the 4th time it was there but wasn't ready. I had to wait 3 hours for them to get it ready. In the meantime they took me to sign all the paper work before I even saw the truck ( huge mistake on my part) and when I finally got the truck there was a bunch of features we had discussed missing and they told me "too bad, you already signed the bill of sale". Quote on quote that's what they said. I raised xxxx and managed to get them to write me an IOU for my rims but had to wait 2 months, and call them every second day to get them. That was about a year and a half ago. I stopped in today to see what they'll give me for my truck on trade for a new one, with this whole exchange rate thing going on and that keys for keys deal they're advertising all over the radio, and it was even worst then last time. They just don't try to satisfy the customer at all, they try to sell you what they wanna sell you not what you wanna buy, and they lie through their goddam teeth in order to do so. Then they wanted my credit card to take a deposit before we even reached anywhere close to a deal. So I left, went to Jim keay in Orleans a made a deal right away, and they didn't make me feel like an xxxxxxx for wanting a certain set of rims. They also gave me 8000 more on the trade. Look at all the things people write about this place, they're horrible. I don't even consider someone that can blatantly lie to my face, the way a lot Kanata Ford employees do, to be human. I'm sure there is the few lucky ones who get good service once in a while but judging by the reviews it looks like the majority get bad. I encourage everyone to stay away from Kanata Ford. More

Waited 60 days for my GT and now another 90 days??? Purchased a 2016 Mustang GT and was promised to have it delivered by end of Nov 2015 to their dealership but that's far from it. Just got my VIN numbe Purchased a 2016 Mustang GT and was promised to have it delivered by end of Nov 2015 to their dealership but that's far from it. Just got my VIN number at the "end" of November to check on Ford Etis and build date is set for Jan 25, 2016??? This means by the time it's built and transported to Canada from Flat Rock, Michigan it won't be crossing the border until close to the end of Feb of 2016. I think the sales guys from Kanata Ford needs to be more honest just instead of wanting to get sales and now can understand why they have such a bad rating on Google! Now I have to wait another 3 months and already waited 2... Be honest, professional and most importantly take the time to update and notify your customers of the status and don't ignore them once you got your sale! More
MAKING AN APPOINTMENT IS WORTHLESS My dad drives a FORD SUV and made an appointment to get the tires changed for winter. He goes in this morning (early before his appointment) - goes to the receptionist (a woman who makes no effort in her job) and tells her he has an appointment. She looks for the information and proceeds to tell my dad there is no appointment written down. My dad then tells her the person he spoke with to schedule said appointment and the girl mentions he won't be back til later. My dad waits around for a bit (a bit being over a half hour) and then leaves. What kind of service is this for someone who has been with FORD for years (probably close to about 15)- COMPLETELY RUDE AND INEFFECTIVE SERVICE. WHY TAKE APPOINTMENTS AT ALL? MIGHT AS WELL WALK-IN. KANATA FORD = I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP (ALSO NOT THE FIRST TIME SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAS HAPPENED)- Go somewhere where you are appreciated as a long term client and where something so simple as a tire change that was booked weeks in advance gets done quickly and efficiently. Fantastic Service Andrew Vincent provided excellent customer service, timely updates on the status of the work being done under warranty and really went the extra mile Andrew Vincent provided excellent customer service, timely updates on the status of the work being done under warranty and really went the extra mile in dealing with an issue that i brought up to him. They even buffed out and re-painted a scrape on the back bumper that I suspected occurred at the dealer - they didn't have to since it couldn't be proved, but they took care of it anyway without hesitation. Having Ford's roadside assistance, they dispatched a tow truck when the car broke down and towed it to Kanata Ford free of charge. They also provided a Loaner for the weekend that my 2013 Fusion was in the shop for. I couldn't be happier. Thanks. Great work. Paul More

New Car purchase, missing parts, never rectified I bought a new $37,000 brand new Ford from the dealership. I drove in from 2 hours out of town - the car was not properly prepared/PDI not done - no sheet ticked off - block heater was in plastic in trunk and not installed - they said to come back - I said I wanted it done there, as they promised the car for this time and date - they gave me a coupon for a free oil change (I'm 2 hours away) and told me to come back another day. I take it to my local Ford dealer when I drive home and they say the plastic battery cover is also missing. I sent several emails to Kanata Ford - they said they would send one - they never did and never answered me. Deplorable customer service ! Never again. As a side note, my brother in law took his F150 there for an oil change - they said it would be 45 minutes to do - It took THREE hours and 15 minutes - don't even think of servicing your vehicle there.
