Service was OK at best There was some good parts to the service experience at freedom ford. The one negative part I can think of was that the service advisor was not able to answer all my questions and in general was making me start to feel a little stupid for asking questions(particularly on any product recalls or provide any info on product recalls). Another negative for me was the re-work of the price as I wanted to re-deem my owner advantage rewards but it was never mentioned that I could. So, I had to sit there and wait for the invoice to go to some one to come back with a new price adjusted. Overall I did not get a good feeling from it. I am satisfied with the servicing of my car but I do not have a good feeling with how I was treated. More

Worst Ford service shop in Edmonton 6 months ago, I took my truck in there for an oil change. Within a day, i heard a whistling, that sounded similiar to a turbo leak?? Upon my inspectio 6 months ago, I took my truck in there for an oil change. Within a day, i heard a whistling, that sounded similiar to a turbo leak?? Upon my inspection under the hood, they removed the air cleaner but they neglected to put a new one in, they buttoned up the cover without an air filter in there! I should have known not to return then, but it is so close to my shop that it was convenient. Last week, I took my F350 in as there was a problem with the 4 wheel drive, there was a rubbing sound at first and then when I turned out of my shop to go to theirs, there was a loud bang and when I turned the wheels sharply there after, there was something binding. They first told me that it was warranty and all would be covered, then 4 hours later the shop manager said no. I went in to talk to him, he made me wait for about 20 mins and then when I went to his office, he was on the phone with an employee of the dealership for another 5 mins. When I asked why no warranty, he said that it was "shock loaded" he said the 4 wheel drive was engaged while the wheels were spinning. This never happened!! When I asked him some other questions like why the vehicle was making noise before the driveshaft snapped, he was very smug and said "I don't know why, I wasn't in the vehicle with you!!" But he knows that the 4wd was applied while the tires were spinning. He never even sent the request to Ford for warranty, he just denied it right there. I'm not sure why this all failed, but it wasn't from engaging the 4wd while the tires were spinning! The service advisor Roxanne Autor was good, but the service manager was a complete joke, they won't see anymore of my hard earned money!! More
Wasting my time. A frustrating experience. After many missed phone calls I decided to ask the dealership why they had been phoning turns out they wanted my car. It was 2 yrs old limited kms in it and I had been following service schedules to a tee. Perfect for trade in value. I was assigned to Roddy (no longer there) & I said I would consider trading in my little car for a 4x4 for the right deal. I had 4 things on my wish list. He came back wih an offer twice my budget and wih only 2 things off my list sales people were pushy. Stating they were giving me he best deal. They had me convinced my car was out of warranty and that I needed to trade in or risk a hefty cost when my vehicle breaks down. I ended up putting a deposit on a vehicle that was the wrong color (insisted my color was not available), & only had two of my wish list items checked off. I felt horrible about this decision. When I got home I did some research. My car with 3 of the 4 things kn my wish list and in that he proper color was at the sherwood park dealership. I immediately phoned back and spoke to Jon (sales manager) , asking him to cancel that order and get me a quote for the proper vehicle for when I was coming back in three days time. When I returned no new quote was made I was made to sit and wait again while they did their research. I told Roddy how dissapointed I was wih his secure and that I gelt he was being pushy and not listening to my needs. Also since my car had sinificantly less km than he thought it did (he overshot it by 100km) and still had warranty for another 10,000km I didn't need to trade in. He told me not to give up on him that he'd get my wish list and in my budget just give him a few days this was the week before Christmas. Freedom Ford continued to hold onto my $500 deposit for weeks and finance department just kept phoning me asking when I would go pick up the wrong car and pay them more money.... I never returned there calls. Determined to get my money back and leave Jon the sales manager met with me after Christmas and took over from Roddy. While I applaud the service Jon gave me (he got the right color and all 4 wishlist items for just a bit higher price than I wanted) it feels this is all a little too late. Also the roof rack wish list item could not be installed before I picked up the car. Therefore I still only have 3 of 4 items for now... overall this process has taken me 4 visits to the store, each one lasting a few hors while they organize themselves. Multiple phone calls. Huge waste of my time. If I'm buying a 34 thousand dollar vehicle, I expect them to be prepared. Kim and Jon have been great and friendly but overall I'm soured from this whole experience. More

Too expensive Cost of service was too much, hard to believe crash sensor and wire harness replacement plus diagnostic was almost 1k.
