Horrible customer service I bought my car there so that I could have consistent support in terms of car maintenance for regular upkeep. I have had several oil changes but this I bought my car there so that I could have consistent support in terms of car maintenance for regular upkeep. I have had several oil changes but this last time none of the service was poor (and there was were no other cars in line). I left quickly because of errands and when I got home I notice my inspection sheet was completely BLANK. I called and asked to speak to the Manager for Service and was connected. After a 10 minute conversation without resolve, I was more angry and dissatisfied than I have ever been there. There was NO commitment to rectifying the situation and his tone was condescending and frankly offensive. I will give them a week to resolve the situation but then I will be back to force a resolution. More
Worst service I've ever received in my live They try to up sell their service on unnecessary things I clearly don't need. Their main goal is to squeeze as much money as they can out of you. As it was the first vehicle I took out in my search for a replacement for my current car, I didn't think I was ready to commit to anything right away. The salesman proceeded to tell me that I was going to get the best deal ever and after he was done I thought it sounded good but I had just started looking, so I was hesitant. He kept telling me that now was the time to get this deal and I really needed to put a deposit down on it today. After listening to the salesman I ended up agreeing to put down a deposit but felt okay about it as it clearly states on the back of their agreement that this could be cancelled by mutual consent and my deposit returned. Then the finance manager went to work and ended up convincing me I needed the extended warranty, snow tires and anti rust package for an additional $4,000. After thinking about it over the weekend and looking online at similar 2018 models, it turns out the deal wasn't as good as they told me it was. On Monday Nov.27 I sent an email to the dealership (they did not receive it) and after not hearing back from them I called them on the 28th to let them know what I found out and that I would like to cancel the agreement and receive my deposit back. How did I know that the management team at this dealership would turn out to be the most condescending and brutish people I have ever dealt with. I quickly received a call from the sales manager, Chris Behie. He proceeded to inform me that he would not cancel the agreement because and I quote here "Nobody held a gun to your head" to make you sign the agreement. I could not believe what I just heard and hung up on this person and proceeded to go to the dealership to talk to him in person. As a retired senior, I have learned that it is always better to speak in person instead of emails and voice mails. After being kept waiting at the dealership, the sales manager finally came out to speak with us and when asked why he would say such a thing his only comment was " it might have been the wrong thing to say". He did not offer an apology and was very clear that I would not be getting my deposit back. I asked to speak with the general manager and after waiting for 1/2 an hour I was first told that he was not in. I was then told that he was on vacation and then I was told that he would be in tomorrow. You can only imagine how I felt when we walked by the general managers office and there he was sitting at this desk. After speaking with Frank van der Veen, general manager of Ancaster Toyota, it is easy to understand why the sales manager felt it was okay to speak to me the way he did. Frank proceeded to tell me that in no uncertain terms would he mutually agree to cancel the agreement and refund my deposit but that he could force me to take the vehicle because he has done this to others many times before. He then said that he would do me a favor here and not do that to me but I would not be getting my deposit back. He said that he has to recover all his costs in this and he will be charging me for all of it. Not sure what his costs were as he would not tell me while I was there and as of Dec. 3rd, I have not heard back from Ancaster Toyota. Frank was very adamant in telling me that Ancaster Toyota is one of the highest rated dealerships around and what do you think I found when I looked at the reviews? There is one from Frank van der Veen giving Ancaster Toyota a 5 star rating. If the general manager is doing this, do you think there are other employees of the Leggat Auto Group and their 8 or 9 dealerships doing the same thing? In looking at reviews not on their own web page, it turns out they have a 20% approval rating on www.dealerrater.ca. Not sure if I will hear from this person going forward but I am sure I will never step into this dealership or one of the other 7 or 8 owned by the Leggat Auto Group ever again. More

Amazing experience buying my first car from Ancaster Toyota - I worked with Simon to get into a used 2014 Mazda 3 Sport GT that they had on their lot. Simon, my sales rep was outstanding in all aspects of the sale from start to finish. His customer service ability and quality was extremely high and would gladly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new or quality used car. If I ever buy a new Toyota I would come back to Ancaster Toyota in a heartbeat, everyone else I worked with and met was kind and respectful, nothing bad to say about anyone or anything at this dealership. Attention to detail and a conscientious safety mindset I found Ancasters used Lexus online and called from Vancouver to get more details. Fortunately I connected with Jim Davidson in sales who answered all of my questions and was able to discuss a fair price for the vehicle. I decided to fly out to inspect the car and because of my late arrival I was welcomed by Maxine Schmidt at Reception and Jeremy Stadler, Manager. They called Jim at home and he drove back into the dealership to meet me and take the car out for a drive. Everything was just as advertised and I was inmpressed with the amount of service work they had pur into to car to ensure that everything was "as new" for me. We concluded the deal and I arranged shipping for my "new" Lexus. Ancaster is a professionally run organisation with polite, friendly and helpful staff, the showroom is immaculate and the lot is clean and well organised. I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings and I thank all concerned for making this a rewarding experience for me More

Zero Stars. Grossly Unsatisfied Well, during the initial consultation to understand why my windshield cowl was coming away from the windshield, I was pleased with the service. When i Well, during the initial consultation to understand why my windshield cowl was coming away from the windshield, I was pleased with the service. When it came to having to work done, the full story was not explained to me, the work was completed and I was left with a windscreen that cracked in 2 places within 1km of the dealership. Returning to the dealership has led me to conclude that the service department lies about explaining details of the work, never brought anything to my attention about a concern with my windshield (which they inspected the week before the work as well), didn't reply to me until after 2 subsequent visits (one including my daughter) to speak to someone and hand delivering 2 letters asking for further action. Having received a phone call, the "story" that was told to my daughter is patently untrue. I may be elderly, but I am not faulty of mind and I feel that I have been taken advantage of by the service staff. Noting something on the paperwork, and NOT telling me is unacceptable. And then lying about it? Unacceptable. If there were concerns, then those concerns should be truly highlighted and the agreement to continue work should involve a signature and truth in documentation. If, during the initial consultation, no concern was raised by service staff, why not? If work was not faulty, why would cracks now be appearing in multiple places? I have no confidence in the work I received, the work I would receive, and the truthful morality of the service staff at Ancaster Toyota. I am unsatisfied. More

After paperwork signed they applied other fees that were not disclosed to us / no notification. The sales person, financing department, and management all had different stories / views / reasoning. When dealing with management, they were demeaning and rude! Management did admit they need to change their paperwork format to show correct balance. Once a purchase agreement is signed, apparently sale is final! Extremely disappointed with Ancaster Toyota due to surprise fees and due to lack of professionalism while dealing with discrepancies!
