I decided to fly out to inspect the car and because of my late arrival I was welcomed by Maxine Schmidt at Reception and Jeremy Stadler, Manager. They called Jim at home and he drove back into the dealership to meet me and take the car out for a drive. Everything was just as advertised and I was inmpressed with the amount of service work they had pur into to car to ensure that everything was "as new" for me. We concluded the deal and I arranged shipping for my "new" Lexus. Ancaster is a professionally run organisation with polite, friendly and helpful staff, the showroom is immaculate and the lot is clean and well organised. I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings and I thank all concerned for making this a rewarding experience for me More

Zero Stars. Grossly Unsatisfied Well, during the initial consultation to understand why my windshield cowl was coming away from the windshield, I was pleased with the service. When it came to having to work done, the full story was not explained to me, the work was completed and I was left with a windscreen that cracked in 2 places within 1km of the dealership. Returning to the dealership has led me to conclude that the service department lies about explaining details of the work, never brought anything to my attention about a concern with my windshield (which they inspected the week before the work as well), didn't reply to me until after 2 subsequent visits (one including my daughter) to speak to someone and hand delivering 2 letters asking for further action. Having received a phone call, the "story" that was told to my daughter is patently untrue. I may be elderly, but I am not faulty of mind and I feel that I have been taken advantage of by the service staff. Noting something on the paperwork, and NOT telling me is unacceptable. And then lying about it? Unacceptable. If there were concerns, then those concerns should be truly highlighted and the agreement to continue work should involve a signature and truth in documentation. If, during the initial consultation, no concern was raised by service staff, why not? If work was not faulty, why would cracks now be appearing in multiple places? I have no confidence in the work I received, the work I would receive, and the truthful morality of the service staff at Ancaster Toyota. I am unsatisfied. More

When dealing with management, they were demeaning and rude! Management did admit they need to change their paperwork format to show correct balance. Once a purchase agreement is signed, apparently sale is final! Extremely disappointed with Ancaster Toyota due to surprise fees and due to lack of professionalism while dealing with discrepancies! Disappointed &Unsatisfied. I had was there for an oil and filter change.I was informed that it was time to change the fluids in the transmission,transfer case and differential.I I had was there for an oil and filter change.I was informed that it was time to change the fluids in the transmission,transfer case and differential.I agreed to have this done.Seen puddles of red fluid in garage and driveway.This car [2009 Highlander] had no leaks previous to this service being done.Contacted Ancaster Toyota yesterday a.m. and they looked at it at 2:30p.m.They are saying that there is damage to the flange on the transmission pan causing to leak from drain plug while car is running.They are suggesting that the transmission oil pan needs to be changed at a cost of $1800.00.I thought they could meet me half way on the cost but they only agreed to drop the price to $1500.00.Ancaster Toyota says the damage was done by whoever changed the fluids the previous time and because they disturbed it made it start to leak.Although this possible it doesnt sound to probable for the following reasons. 1-No leaks before they did this service.[3 years] 2-Why didnt they notice the damage and tell me when they did the service on Nov.14th. 3-It also leaks when the car is not running. 4-I feel the damage was done when Ancasters Toyota technician tried to undo the drain plug. I am very disappointed that Ancaster will not cover more of the cost because it obvious the damage was done by them.The only mistake I made was taking the car to them to begin with.I will never go back there and I will strongly recommend that none of my friends or family deal with them either. More
Rude Service Reception I wanted to make an appt. for my car service, I called 5 times, there was nobody answered the phone, finally a lady called Marlisa answered, but with I wanted to make an appt. for my car service, I called 5 times, there was nobody answered the phone, finally a lady called Marlisa answered, but with anger, she blamed me for not leaving a message for her, she would answer my call within 10 minutes, very rude and unprofessional, she said that she is busy in the morning, but a couple of calls I made were in the afternoon! She must be busy ALWAYS. I felt that I was treated like garbage. Good thing is that I know there are other Toyota dealers around, I will avoid ANCASTER TOYOTA for as long as Marlisa works there, period. More

They purposely misaligned the accessory belt while changing the waterpump under warranty. Next day I went back for unnatural noise coming from engine which the worked upon. After diagnosis they told me that belt was worn off. This was all preplanned. And when I countered that why it was not mentioned when they changed the pump. They tried to feed me all sort of BS. As I challenged them, now they wont give my car back unless I pay diagnostic fee, as I did not get it fixed from them. More

The one I chose for a test drive was the one I'd seen. The gas tank was near empty, but I took it out for about 10 minutes. When I returned, the salesperson asked if I'd be interested in test driving a new Scion iM. I decided to try it out. When the salesperson had it ready, she told me it was on empty and that I had exactly 20km to try it. I have to admit that it was a nice ride. The salesperson then proceeded to explain all the incentives on the car. My trade was appraised and I agreed that it was a good deal. I was then introduced to a 'product specialist' who went over all the other add-ons to the deal like life insurance, loss of income insurance, extended warrantee, etc. I was pressed for time and excited about the prospect of a new car that I thought might fit the bill. I left at closing time having left a deposit of $100. On the Monday morning at opening time, I called the dealership to let them know that I'd changed my mind for various reasons. The reponse on the phone was icy cold. I was informed that the General Manager would be in touch. The call was terminated abruptly. I was then hounded by calls while at work from the Sales Manager. I called back and left a message. The following day, I was again called multiple times. I didn't connect with anyone, but went there after work. The sales manager who'd called me finally was available to talk. In an angry voice, he started the conversation by saying "we are not in the habit of cancelling orders", turning the contract for sale to face me and with a stabbing finger, pointed to the bottom where I'd signed. He was red in the face. I explained my reasons for cancelling and in response he said "this is a binding contract" and car sales are excluded from normal retail sales, where the consumer can change his or her mind. He then said many could "force delivery". It took quite some time to get him to agree to cancelling the order, during which he presented me purchase options for finance for the original car I was interested in - something that the salesperson didn't do because they were trying to push a sale of an entirely different vehicle. As an serious aside, their contract that they'd drawn up for me had a different and far more expensive car listed. I wonder what would have happened if I'd said that I wanted to force that sale? In short, the experience was repugnant and I will never return there. A horrible experience. More
