Charged for diagnosis, failed to diagnose Had an alternator and Battery Replaced Friday. $1780. Wow. But on the drive home, the glow plug light started flashing. Trouble code P2563. Seen Had an alternator and Battery Replaced Friday. $1780. Wow. But on the drive home, the glow plug light started flashing. Trouble code P2563. Seen it before after an intercooler service, likely a vacuum hose. Charged $118 + tax for diagnosis, tech said have to restore the vacuum system to OEM condition before further diagnosis. OK, what part needs replacing? Sorry, you used up your hour of diagnosis, we can't tell you. Did not want to play double or nothing on diagnostic fees, so left down $2k over 2 days :( More
