I had visited another Honda dealer the previous day and having encountered a confrontational and dismissive salesperson, I decided to begin at Jonker with a phone call. Talking to Byron on the phone gave me the sense that he was someone I could work with so I made an appointment to test drive a Civic the next day. To sum this up without being too wordy, the process, from start to finish, when we drove off in our vehicle, was very straightforward and pleasant. I never felt pressured or manipulated, which are the two things I dread most in situations like this. I would not hesitate to recommend Byron if you're in the market for a new vehicle, Honda or Nissan. More

I went home and send an email to various Honda dealerships around Greater Vancouver. I Frank responded and was very direct with me. I like that approach. I felt like he was completely honest and respectful of my needs and we were able to reach a fair deal that I felt very comfortable with. I would highly recommend anyone to purchase a car from Jonkers Honda. The entire experience left me feeling not only confident in the car I was purchasing, but also confident in my ability to negotiate and make a good decision for myself. About a week before I came to Honda, I had been looking at the optima from Kia but had the worst experience and felt incredibly pressured by them. I work in the service industry and can appreciate good service. I will definitely be coming back to Honda and will recommend all my family and friends to Frank! More

That evening I had to get a jumpstart because my battery, which was just tested and in good shape, was dead. All weekend we had to jumpstart the van. This is the third and last time that we've taken our vehicle in and hours later a problem developed. Questioning how thoroughly they do their work. More

Not impressed with Chris Melenchuck, over charged me . Service agent Andrea Arthurs very good, however, Chris Melenchuck terrible, overcharged me for work that was not done, $133.73 to replace air filters, Service agent Andrea Arthurs very good, however, Chris Melenchuck terrible, overcharged me for work that was not done, $133.73 to replace air filters, I never asked for this work to be done, and when I got home and checked the filters they were fine, same old ones, which were replaced 9,000 kms ago. He tried the same thing last summer when I had my CRV serviced. I will return to Jonker for service however will NOT deal with Melenchuck as he cannot be trusted. Both Andrea and Jill in the service dept are very good, and honest. Any more problems, will result in complaints to the service manager, the owner Karl Jonker as well as Honda Canada. Clean up your act, or you will lose a customer who has been dealing with you for the past 12 years. More

OIL Change - have to think about my earlier question. Should have taken 45 minutes for oil change but when I returned after an hour the car was not ready and I was kept waiting for hour and a half until Should have taken 45 minutes for oil change but when I returned after an hour the car was not ready and I was kept waiting for hour and a half until I approached the front desk to ask what was happening. I was waiting for the service clerk (Greg) out side but when he came out of the door he picked up the first man who started to ask him questions. After few minutes he knew my eyes were fixed on him and he asked Andrea to help me, but she immediately said she has other people waiting inside. What really got me was I know Andrea for a long time, but she did not even have a greeting or smile on her face when I looked at her. She passed by me several times but pretended she does not know me. I have never bothered you guys to give me a ride anywhere or for any other small things. Whatever work is done I have paid for it. While back I thought I had problem with my battery and took in to see if I needed to replace the battery, and after having charged the battery, I was asked to give $45 or more dollars for that by Andrea, I gasped at that price and she said they have to pay to the guys who worked on it. Unfortunately, I was working with my credit card that morning and left it on my desk and I was so ashamed. I told her I will go home and call her immediately with my credit card, and she said she will let it go that one time. When I mentioned this incident to Randy Ohno the next time, he was so furious. After more than hour and a half I was given the Invoice to pay and I asked for the Inspection checklist which is given to me every time with the Invoice, and it went missing. After few minutes Greg picked up a fresh checklist and just filled it up with no brake condition report. I miss Randy and now I know it was because of him I kept going to Honda for service. I was thinking of getting a new Honda, but since my last service my mind is changed. Whether to get Honda and go to Surrey for service or change the car all together. Small things happen all the time when I take my car for service (after Randy left) , but I never questioned or complained. Last time it really got me bad. More
