It was our first big purchase and our first purchase of a brand new car. We couldn't have been happier with the young professional that came to our aid when we first stepped onto the lot to browse. Adrian was incredibly helpful, professional, and uplifting. It made the entire experience easy and fast. Not once was he pushy or aggressive in his sales (something I cannot stand) and he was incredibly thorough and detailed with getting us the right car for the right price. There was no hiding behind numbers or false promises, anything he said he would try to do to make our new buy memorable was done to the upmost. We are incredibly happy with how our transaction turned out and the new car we now have sitting in our driveway. Seeing as Adrian was new when we first met him, we had no idea about it until he told us later that day, it was a pleasure to have met him and we have been recommending anyone we know of who is looking into purchasing a new vehicle to strongly consider Hyundai Guelph because of the great experience we had there. $50 for an oil change, but $60 to replace 2 $1.00 lights? As usual, this dealership tried to gouge me again. They wanted $60 just to replace 2 running lights that are worth about $1 a piece, The service mana As usual, this dealership tried to gouge me again. They wanted $60 just to replace 2 running lights that are worth about $1 a piece, The service manager refused to show me which lights were burned out, telling me that I could figure out for myself, when refused their bloated service charge. The whole service was only $50, including oil, filter, etc. One time it was $80 for a $20 cabin air filter. They also wanted $650 to replace rear brake pads and rotors that wore out in only 35k. I had quality name brand parts installed for $250. It is obvious that the service manager and mechanic seek to greatly pad their salaries with big commissions for any service they can sell you. When I complained about the $80 filter(which they didn't quote before they installed it), I was told I was lucky I wasn't charged $150. These idiots show no real understanding of customer service, and politeness. The dealership pushed me into paying $300 for a coupon book that offers some minor discounts and a couple free car cleanings. When I used a coupon for a free injector cleaner, I got a call telling me I needed to spend $50 on in-house injector cleaning. Every time I ask about getting the free car cleaning, I get stalled by the service managers telling me that they are booking that a month in advance, but then never offered to book the cleaning. It is apparent that the dealership oversold this service, but is unwilling to hire the staff to do the work in a timely manner, so they try to discourage the customer from redeeming them. Every time I leave this dealership in a very foul mood. I will never buy another Hyundai, as long as I live in Guelph, because I don't want have to travel out of town for every simple service. Guelph Hyundai is a short-sighted company that doesn't realize that milking their customers doesn't encourage repeat business. More
