I had a very good experience at the dealership. Chris was understanding that I had to keep my payments as low as possible and that was very important to me.I went to three other Kia dealers and I felt the mo understanding that I had to keep my payments as low as possible and that was very important to me.I went to three other Kia dealers and I felt the most comfortable at this one. I live in Hamilton Ontario and make the 80km drive (one way) to service my Kia with the best staff I have ever seen. They not only know me by name, but are able to exceed my expectations each and every visit. This makes it worth my while to drive in each time. I could service with 3-4 other local dealers however the staff at Georgetown Kia have always provided me with respect and fairness. I will continue to make the drive to service with the best. I did not get a call to come in for the part to be replaced in my car in the time I was promised. I was told 4-5 working days and called in at 8 working days to be told it had not arrived. I called at 10 working days to be told I was missed as I was under both my name and my husbands name. I am still unclear why this created a delay, and why I was listed that way, but glad the work is now completed. More
My wife and I were just looking around for a possible used car and we saw the '09 Altima on the lot. The car was in mint condition. Chris came out with the keys and pulled the car out so we could look at used car and we saw the '09 Altima on the lot. The car was in mint condition. Chris came out with the keys and pulled the car out so we could look at it more closely. Asked if we interested, we said maybe, he gave us the keys and told to drive it around for a while. When we brought it back to the lot. He gave a complete history on the car, how well it had been maintained by the previous owner. We struck a deal and the car was ours. Talk about impulse buying. Chris was excellent, very helpful and quite knowledgeable. The car was prepped and ready for pick up a few days later. He had everything ready, there was no waiting, he explained all that we needed to know. All in all a very good experience. I would recommend Georgetown Kia anytime. More
We have been to this dealer before and the sales service, as usual, was exemplary. Our interest was in the 'possibility' of 'upgrading' from our current Kia. Over the course of two weeks, Ken worked very har as usual, was exemplary. Our interest was in the 'possibility' of 'upgrading' from our current Kia. Over the course of two weeks, Ken worked very hard for us and everything he did was genuinely in our best interests. He answered every question we had and problem solved for the challenges we put before him. He was efficient and invested in helping us and even went out of his way to keep contact and research for us on his days off. Tony G. has always taken care of us and understands us as a client and was involved along the way to offer his help. We took all of the information we had been provided and made our decision after evaluating our situation. At the end of the day we decided not to pursue things further. However, when we are ready, we will definitely be going back to this team. Their willingness to work for us, put our best interests first, and help us make our decision (even though it wasn't a sale) is what good client service is all about. We never felt pressured or forced to rush into anything. On the contrary, Ken (and Tony)were pivotal in ensuring that whatever we decided would have to work for us. It is for these reasons that I will continue to take my business to Georgetown Kia in the future. We have trust in this group and they will continue to be our first choice. We would not hesitate to recommend G'town Kia to the people we know. Thanks Gentlemen..we will see you again! More
Very happy with new Sportage! But, every time asked a question that couldn't be answered we were left waiting for at least 10 minutes! Took 2 hours to pick up our new car waiting for questions to be answered. When extended warranty offered on day of purchase no mention was made that this put us over the 0% financing limit. Almost a week later when picking up the car we were shown a contract with 0.13% financing on it. No one had bothered to call to explain prior to us coming in to sign. Contract wording and pricing didn't match bill of sale, had to be retyped. Felt I had to read every line of the contract as there were discrepancies (129 payments vs 130 payments, 0% vs 0.13%, $2300 extended warranty vs $2482) Told car would be ready on Monday but "guaranteed" delivery on Tuesday however, plates not ready, had to wait until Wednesday. Very disappointed. $500 deposit taken at new car dealership but had to drive to used car dealership to get it refunded. Told tires had pressure sensors but find out later not installed. Never mentioned the $100 deductible on the extended warranty. Still, I love my car. More
This was my first time buying a car basically on my own and the experience was great. Chris and Rob were very helpful and friendly. During my last routine visit a couple weeks ago I was told to expect the next service call to be costly. When I questioned Rodney, I was told that during my next visit my KIA Rondo would need the timing told to expect the next service call to be costly. When I questioned Rodney, I was told that during my next visit my KIA Rondo would need the timing belt replaced. Attempting to budget for the expense, I asked roughly what the cost would be. To my surprise, I was told to expect roughly a $1,000 repair. Ouch! That sounded extremely steep, but, I also knew that timing belts are time consuming and can be costly to replace. Upon my arrival at home, I mentioned to my husband what had been conveyed to me during my visit, and he immediately questioned the cost of the repair. He wanted a second quote, or third even, and boy am I glad he did! We contacted a few local repair shops and were told by both places that I DID NOT need to have my timing belt replaced - turns out my 4 cylinder KIA Rondo has a chain and not a belt, which means that it does not need to be replaced. I think I was more hurt at first, since I've trusted the Georgetown KIA Service dept for the last two years. Now, I'm simply furious knowing that I've been associating myself with dishonest people, and location in turn. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to Georgetown KIA for my future repairs, and instead will be taking my business to the 401 & Dixie location. They were very quick to tell me that my Rondo did not need a timing belt replaced, and that only REGULAR maintenance was required - plus they also accept my VIP card, which is a bonus! I'm very, very disappointed with the Georgetown Service Dept. Update: The Service Dept Manager, Mark contacted me immediately after I sent in this review and explained what had transpired with my last estimate. There was an oversight made by an apprentice and explained that even if I had brought my car in for service, the system would not allow the repair. I'll trust that this is actually correct, since I was informed of the same thing from a different Kia. I realize that mistakes happen and am willing to give them another chance. Mark was very reasonable, apologetic and it's obvious that he takes his job seriously. He was fair with the compensation provided and I'm appreciative that we ended in good terms. More
