Bad customer service, bought elsewhere I went into Centaur Subaru to purchase the new 2017 forester. We knew what we wanted and since this dealer was located on the south-side, we went in I went into Centaur Subaru to purchase the new 2017 forester. We knew what we wanted and since this dealer was located on the south-side, we went in to work on a deal. The standing and waiting around to move forward and proceed with the sale was agonizing. Unfortunately for them, they are not the only Subaru dealer in town. So after 90 minutes of them playing games and always busy with whoever else, we jumped in our car and drove across town. Had a Deal Done and signed in just under an hr. Subaru does have a good product, thats why we purchased one, but you might as well deal with some decent sales guys as well if you can... More
Good product but poorly run dealership, not female friendly. Consider using Centaur Subaru if you must have a Subaru, Centaur is less pressured and more customer friendly. You can also use Unhaggle or Car Cost Consider using Centaur Subaru if you must have a Subaru, Centaur is less pressured and more customer friendly. You can also use Unhaggle or Car Cost Canada to avoid the sales department completely. The other option is to look at Toyota or Honda which have better sales departments. Notes: - Aggressive young men only in the sales department that appear to be on commission and don't know a lot about the cars. This is not a female friendly place to buy a car. - Not time management skills, they kept us waiting several times. Quite chaotic at times. More

Don't walk...RUN!! Pathetic, rotten customer service! Our family has collectively owned 10 Subaru's over the past 22 years. They were great, affordable vehicles. Fortunately for us we were able to find an excellent service provider that was NOT Centaur and NOT Subaru Calgary. We've had terrible experiences with both dealers. When my last vehicle died, I test drove the Subaru Crosstrek hoping to purchase a new Subaru. The sales person had a serious lack of knowledge regarding the car and after reading numerous bad reviews about Centaur and Subaru Calgary, I decided to purchase an Acura instead. I've been thrilled with my SUV and even more thrilled with their excellent service department. One family member still owns a Subaru and has had the misfortune of dealing with Subaru Calgary. She's had her vehicle in the service department for the same problem over and over. The problem is NEVER solved and they have no recollection or record of the problem. Repeated appointments have been set up, she brings the vehicle in and big surprise...they don't have the part. Even though the appointment was set up for the specific problem. They've wasted so much of her time and MONEY and the bad part is they DON'T CARE at all. People should ban this dealership and Subaru Calgary is no better. They have the market cornered in Calgary and they know it. If you buy a new Subaru you have NO choice but to deal with these extremely incompetent bozo's!! The owner of Centaur should be embarassed about the total lack of service AND lack of caring that they provide, along with the extremely bad attitude of the service dept. or should I say LACK OF SERVICE DEPT. My advice go elsewhere to buy a vehicle or you'll have major regrets. More

In all my years of dealing with various dealers I have never had such good service like I got here. The parts arrived quickly and he helped me out some more. The service manager Dan, was the fellow who does the programming of the stuff there and I was further astounded by the great service he provided as well. I had read and heard of people having bad experiences there but it must have been the attitude of the customer that caused their problems, I found Dealing with both Chris and Dan to be a very pleasant experience. Honesty works I went into the dealership to buy a car - today. The sales guy was nice. He spent about an hour and a half showing my wife and motherinlaw the vehicles we were interested in. We made a decision, and presented a fair offer. That's when things got weird. We were told by the sales guy that the colour we wanted in the 2016 model was on a boat and would be here in 4 weeks. We said that was fine, we would buy today and wait for it. He takes the offer to his manager, then comes back and says we can have one of the floor models for that price, but they want $500 more for the one on a boat. I countered with a bit more money, but they wouldn't budge. So we went across town to the other dealer and got the exact car/colour we wanted at the price we had offered Centaur. While trying to negotiate, the salesman used all the standard lines that I've heard and read before. I'm not unexperienced or stupid, but it appeared that he thought I was one or the other. Telling me he only gets $100 to sell a new Subaru. If that's all he makes, he should look for other employment. Who has 2016 models arriving by boat in the fall of 2016? If you are reading this, you know a dealer can spin the numbers a lot of different ways, so it's hard to argue. But the sales guy insisted that the dealer was only going to make $600 by selling me this vehicle. I said if dealers only made that, they couldn't pay him, or the rest of their overhead. And finally, they let me walk out the door without countering my counter - and we were only $300 apart. That leads me to believe that there was most likely not a boat with our car on it. Two hours later we paid cash for the vehicle we wanted. It's not a great economy here right now, and pushing sales out your door, and over to your competitor, seems rather short sighted. More

Service I bought my Subaru Outback from Centaur. One of the tires was losing pressure and I went there on Friday to get it checked. I was told that they were I bought my Subaru Outback from Centaur. One of the tires was losing pressure and I went there on Friday to get it checked. I was told that they were packed and I could get an appointment for Monday. I booked an appointment and when I went there, I was told that it will take about 1-1.5 hours as there are others in front of me. When I asked what does appointment mean then I was told that it just means that at that time I can drop of my car. This is the most absurd appointment system I have ever come across. If I have to drop of my car and wait for car in front of me then why do I need an appointment. Anyways, I agreed to wait in dealership while they check my tire. After about 2 hours, my car was still not pulled into the shop and when I asked how much longer would it take, I was told that there are 2 cars ahead of me and some of the technicians are out for lunch. So they had no clue how much more time it will take. After 2 hours, I had to leave with my tire still not fixed. This was all when I had an appointment booked. This is the worst customer service I have seen in my whole life. More

As customer service continues to dwindle in society I thought the auto industry continued to one of the last industries to value customer service, loyalty and experience. My complaint is two fold 1) Service hours starting at 8am, really!! Having booked an 8am appt and then having to wait my turn for the sole person on your service desk with 5 people waiting their turn! 2) Finding out while there that you do not offer return pick up services BUT you are kind enough to provide transit fare and then require pick up before 5:30 is absolutely unbelievable and appalling. I work from home in a newer neighborhood with limited services and therefore took a cab to get my vehicle in a timely fashion in order to do my job and I could not do this fast enough. I am now writing the service dept as this is the only address given to me to write this concern. No other options to get this closer to the Williams family (found on the internet but no where in the dealership) whom I believe still own this dealership. I previously mentioned that this is a fleet vehicle BUT I am also a car owner and this was not an experience I expected or deserved in a day and age. More
