My Service Advisor Jun Su Kim was very thorough and informative. His knowledge and honesty about the problem was appreciated and key to me returning to this location. He explained to me my options and immediately had the vehicle in for repair. We highly recommend this service location and will definitely continue using them in the near future. Would never buy a car from the sales team here or have my car serviced. I am on my third Kia in a row and go to another city to buy and service my vehicles because of how bad the service is here. Sales team comes across sleazy with old school sales tactics - won’t properly discuss pricing, leave you sitting in the office for ages alone while they go to “see what they can do” with the sales manager, won’t let you take the negotiated price with you to shop around, pressure you, etc. Awful antiquated sales experience. Service department used to be better and now just doesn’t cut it. Don’t understand their own product, dismissive, act like you’re a burden, lack of urgency in answering calls or dealing with customers. Think this place needs new ownership to shake up the culture.

🚨 **WARNING: BEWARE OF AUTOPLANET DEALERSHIP FRAUD** 🚨 I recently purchased a **2022 Hyundai Elantra** from **Autoplanet**, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. The dealership assured me the vehicle was **fully serviced**, including transmission fluid change, engine oil change, and filter replacements. However, after a few months of driving, my car suddenly stopped due to a **transmission failure**. Upon getting multiple diagnostics from professional auto shops, I was informed that the **wrong transmission fluid** was used, causing severe damage. I provided these reports to the dealership, yet they refused to take responsibility. Instead, **they tried to make me trade the car or pay out of my own pocket for repairs**—a clear case of negligence and fraud. After wasting **countless hours and over 10 trips to the dealership**, I was forced to pay **$3,200+** for repairs. Even after they replaced the transmission, they initially installed the wrong type (push-to-start setup, which my car doesn’t have). After another long wait, they replaced it again, but the car still had **gear shifting issues** and drove terribly. It was obvious that **they hadn’t even test-driven the vehicle before delivering it back**. To make matters worse, when I inquired about a trade-in, they offered me a **shockingly low $12,500**, whereas multiple auto shops in the **GTA region valued my car at $15,000+**. They are clearly **taking advantage of customers** by undervaluing cars for their own profit. 🔴 **Major issues with Autoplanet:** - They **falsely claimed the car was fully serviced** when it wasn’t. - Used **wrong transmission fluid**, causing failure. - **Refused to take responsibility** and forced me to pay for repairs. - Provided **poor repair service**, delivering a car with ongoing issues. - **Tried to profit further** by lowballing my trade-in value. - Their **Carfax and service records are unreliable**—they repair cars but do not update Carfax, meaning you **can’t trust the service history**. I waited **over 15 days** for a proper resolution, but they only focused on **making more profit from their own mistakes**. **DO NOT trust this dealership.** They claim to be the **largest dealership in the country**, but their service is deceptive and unprofessional. **Always check Carfax and service records thoroughly before buying from them!** 🚫 **Save yourself the stress—stay away from Autoplanet!** 🚫

Trying to get someone to answer is very frustrating. Whoever is in charge there should really take a look at customer service issues.

Very unethical and poor business practices. A dishonest, rude, disrespectful and arrogant GM - Amar T. He is not transparent and has no morale ethics, very evasive and dismissive. The car purchased was not "clean condition" as was told. Any issues have not be resolved and is apparent will not as they lack responsibility, integrity and the basic requirement code of ethics under the MVDA. Very poor customer service and no communication once the agreement was signed. The owner avoids communication and any responsibility for my concerns, accountabilty for the aggressive behaviour and poor conduct of his employee towards a woman.

Beware of deceptive sales tactics and poor aftercare at Toronto Kia on Danforth. Our experience with this dealership was deeply disappointing. Lack of professionalism and rude attitude from the GM Trevor Headrick and sales Mohammad Fazeli. During the purchase process, after hours of back and forth, we signed the bill of sale—only to be told in the finance office that the tax rebate had been applied incorrectly. Despite the document being signed by everyone, including the General manager, we had to re-sign a new agreement on the spot, with added costs. After seeing other reviews mentioning last-minute price changes, it seems like a common tactic here. How can someone who deals with bill of sales daily make such a careless error if not on purpose? Additionally, we were promised a cargo liner in exchange for a 5-star review. After six months of silence, we followed up—only to be told the deal was actually $75 off the item. This was obviously never mentioned before and instead of owning up to their misleading tactics once again we were gaslit to believe this was always what was conveyed . At this point the general manager, Trevor Hedrick, stepped in and again instead of owning up to the mistake and deception for a good review, he spoke with us with extreme condescension, essentially accusing us of lying. It’s clear that once the sale is made and the review is secured, customer care is no longer a priority. Will definitely be escalating this issue so more customers are aware of the deceiving tactics , lack of ownership and lack of professionalism in handling customers.

Worst service ever had!! First I was told my truck was ready for pick up because issues were fixed. I get the keys start to leave truck goes back into limp mode so the truck was back into service area and needed to stay to get it fixed. I waited for two hours for a shuttle and I had to call for another ride because shuttle service was way too long. They offered to pay a rental as my truck was in the shop for repairs and as I got the text saying my truck was ready for pick up, I called and was informed they are not paying for the rental they offered. Not a happy customer

Seriously bad customer service, highly not recommended. Got the time to inspect a car when reached person was not available and no one else could show the car. Waited for the sales person to come back and when he came back rather coming to us he started chatting with his colleagues. When we approached him he handed us over the keys and disappeared. As we didn’t like the car we handed over the keys back and asked about a car parked in next spot. When he told me the price I just said that it seems like higher than market price and sales person rather trying to explain me why it is priced higher than market started telling me that you have no clue about that car and you should not even looking at and left us there with a comment that go on web and if you find a better price of same model I will give it to you. Based on that challenge I sent him a same model car from another dealer and he said ok I will talk to my manager. The sales person was rude and unprofessional highly not recommended.

The car in warranty and service is denied with a manufacturing defect that I got done from another dealership. never returned to such a dealership. BUYER BEWARE!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM ICAR THUNDERBAY!!!! This summer I purchased a 2019 Elantra with 40 000 kms on it from ICAR. The car appeared to be in good condition and with low milage. When I brought my car to the carwash however, I barely started to spray the hood and a bunch of paint just wiped off my car. I contacted the sales rep that sold me the car and he said that it was my fault for bringing the car to the car wash. I then went to an auto repair shop and they confirmed that there was definitely something wrong with the paint and that bringing it to the car wash should not have taken off the paint as described. I then emailed the sales rep that sold me the car. He again told me it was my fault for washing my car at the carwash, even though I barely sprayed it, but said that if I got a second quote to fix the paint, they would see what they could do to help me get it fixed. He also claimed that they care about my experience with them and want to help me fix this issue ( LMDAO) . I then sought out a second opinion and quote at a different auto repair shop. I was told by the second car repair shop that not only was it not my fault that the paint came off, and that unless I was holding the pressure washer directly against the paint ( which obviously I did not do), then there was no reason for the paint to come off and clearly there was a defect in the paint. Every single car owner brings their car to the carwash and the paint doesn’t come off like that. This car repair expert told me to just keep contacting the people who sold me the car, because it clearly was a defect with the paint. I have since sent in this quote to icar and they have decided to just ignore my emails and refuse to acknowledge this issue further. My partner has been looking to buy his own vehicle and was interested in a car at icar but has since changed his mind, seeing how they have been treating me. Again, do not buy a car from ICAR THUNDERBAY, I regret trusting them, now I am going to be out an additional 1500$ to repair the paint, when I am already overpaying for the car I got. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE< DON’T FALL FOR IT> THEY WILL NOT ASSIST YOU IF YOU FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR YOU BUY FROM THEM >

Went to buy a new vechile...was told it would have winter tires, under coating and a full tank of gas....was jerked around for 3 weeks as salesman was shady as fxxxx...and kept giving excuses about working on those things . After going to management to try to get him to honor, they said he no longer works there and the best was when I though my husband was my cosigner. Turned out I'm not even on the loan. Didn't find that out til I tried to change payment date. But ran my credit so much that my credit took a massive hit so now I can't finance anywhere . DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They lie about EVERYTHING!! I will find out soon from the dealership if they even did an honest safety as they said it got wet and cannot produce it. I'm hoping to sue!
