Excellent Sales Advisor; Poor Financing "Expert" When I purchased my used Kia Forte the salesman, Al Kanji, was excellent to deal with and highly professional and knowledgeable however, my experience When I purchased my used Kia Forte the salesman, Al Kanji, was excellent to deal with and highly professional and knowledgeable however, my experience with Don MacDonald, Finance "Expert" was not as positive. Mr. MacDonald presented one rate of interest to me for my car loan and as it turned out that I signed up at a higher rate of interest. He was very fast talking and made representations that if I obtained used car protection insurance that my lender would appreciate seeing that and I would surely get the discounted interest rate that he presented. After I have signed up for the used car protection insurance plan and loan documentation I l discovered that I did not get the promised interest rate!! In fact, according, to Don MacDonald, the lower interest rate for a used vehicle would never have even been an option. I thought that was very funny. Did I dream the whole thing?? Don MacDonald is the reason that the used car professionals and the used car industry receive a bad rap. Although Al Kanji was an excellent salesperson, sadly Don MacDonald has left a bad taste in my mouth and I would not recommend this dealership to friends and family. Best experience buying a new vehicle I live in Calgary, and the prices for new vehicles seem to be far more expensive than vehicles in Edmonton. I inquired online about a 2017 Tacoma, and I live in Calgary, and the prices for new vehicles seem to be far more expensive than vehicles in Edmonton. I inquired online about a 2017 Tacoma, and within 20 minutes I had a text message from a salesman asking what he could do to earn my business. 3 days later I'm driving up to Edmonton with my dad to take delivery of a 2018 Tacoma that we were getting for an unbelievable price. Every employee at the dealership was kind, helpful, and their only concern was if we were happy with the service. The new car sales manager even approached us as we were about to leave to thank us for our business. My dad made the comment that this was by far the easiest and most positive experience buying a new vehicle. Words can't describe how impressed both my dad and myself are with the service and experience. We love our 2018 Tacoma! More
