Very hard to get a straight answer. My experience started out reasonable enough, my sales person Sammy was a nice guy to deal with and very helpful in selecting a vehicle. Once the v My experience started out reasonable enough, my sales person Sammy was a nice guy to deal with and very helpful in selecting a vehicle. Once the vehicle was selected everything went down hill. Every question I asked anybody was met with "ummm, let me check." or "nobody told you that?" and it seemed as if every new person I talked to was more confused by my questions. I was promised either a discount on the vehicle or money put towards my financing to bring my interest rate down due to some body damage and was told my monthly payment would be around $592/mo. I left the dealership Wednesday and was asked Friday to come in for Saturday as I had an approval. I was told that somebody from finance would phone me to let me know the numbers as I live an hour away and didn't want to drive in for terms that wouldn't work for me. I even got a call from a lady who stated she was "in finance" but did not have access to the details and the person who did was unavailable. Saturday came and me and my family drove up to the dealership. I waited for quite a while but was eventually seen and given a payment amount of $310 biweekly which is a decent amount more per month than initially agreed. At this point I was tired and I just wanted the car. I agreed. From there I waited for another hour and a half before being seen by another person, she told me there was a math error on their part and my payments would now be $325 biweekly. I said I wasn't interested and they dropped the payment to $317 which I reluctantly agreed to just to move the process along. After another long wait, I finally get into the finance office. Once in the finance office I finally get to see a breakdown of what they're charging me. The interest rate I received was exactly the rate I came in with AND there was no discount on the car. Not only that, they charged me a $200 "premium wheel fee" on factory wheels on a used vehicle that had peeling black spray paint on them from a previous owner. They also charged me a $500 admin fee and for an over $3000 warranty that I was never told about. Upon asking about the Go Auto "no fee" policy and asking about the warranty I was never told about, the person I was talking to had to go get somebody else. When she came in, she indirectly said that the warranty and admin fee were required by the lender without actually coming out and saying it which seemed increasingly shady. At this point my willpower was diminished. I was tired, hungry, my kids were bored and we had to leave soon so my wife could make it to work. I signed all of the papers just so I could claim my keys and return home with my tail between my legs. But even that had to wait. It turns out the car had never had an AMVIC inspection. So they had never even looked at it in their shop. I was told I'd be supplied with a loaner until Tuesday when my car would be ready. Defeated, I returned home. After leaving the city the tire light came on in my loaner, turns out it has a leaking rear tire. I've been going to the gas station daily since Saturday to keep it topped up. It's Tuesday today so I phoned and talked to service, I was given the 'ol run around once more when inquiring if my car had been inspected yet. As I'd come to expect I was met with confusing noises, no answers and was told to talk to my salesman. Still no car, no answers and a leaky loaner.... More

Dealt with Reg who was awesome (Sales). When we started dealing with finance and sales manages it was a nightmare. We were told that they wouldn't buy our trade in on a lease, that it could not be done (not true, Mayfield just did it). I asked them to humour me and show me lease rates. The manager became confrontational telling me I couldn't afford to pay off the lien to sell it myself (he hadn't actually seen any of our financials at this point). We left. We went to Mayfield Toyota where we weren't treated like peasants, bought a truck on the spot and had a great experience. Avoid this place like the plague. It just switched to GO AUTO so assume that the good review are mostly from before. More

"Certified used" is not thorough We are unhappy with the integrity and the customer service of the used car department. We purchased a used Tundra from this dealership. We were in We are unhappy with the integrity and the customer service of the used car department. We purchased a used Tundra from this dealership. We were in Australia visiting my brother when we saw the ad and although we tried to have someone come see the vehicle, we were not able so we committed to purchasing the vehicle site unseen. We had seen the inspection report by the dealer and the action list of items they were addressing before the purchase. With this and the "Certified Used Toyota" promise and 30 day warranty, we felt like we were covered and had minimum risk. We did not haggle on price and agreed to full asking price. We live in BC, so it was a process for us to get there to pick up the vehicle after returning to Canada but we knew that going into the purchase. All the safety items were checked off in the certified process and we thought we were good to go. Fast forward to our out of province inspection in BC. Several core safety items were missed in the Toyota inspection. There wasn't even a bulb in the reverse light. The rear light housings were full of water and malfunctioning. I can't believe we drove from Edmonton to Kamloops with this as an issue, we had trust that those items would be in working order as per the certified inspection details. The signal light also did not work properly. The exhaust had a large gap and needed repair. When we received the report from the mechanic in Kamloops, we contacted our salesman who was very apologetic, and told us to have all those items repaired and we would be reimbursed. After several day use permits and getting in to get repairs and waiting for parts, we finally passed inspection and were able to drive our new vehicle (1 week later). On direction of our salesman, we submitted the repair receipts for reimbursement. Note that we made sure to reduce these costs by doing the light housing replacement and bulb repairs ourselves. We did not ask for reimbursement of the time and extra permit costs to pull daily permits to take the vehicle to get repaired etc. A final bill of $571 was submitted - a small cost to the dealership. Like I mentioned the extra hassle of us addressing theses items was never complained about and we were just concerned that we had a safe, insurable vehicle. With no explanation on why the amount was reduced, a cheque was sent for $226 (of $571+ costs incurred). We have reached out multiple times with no response from the salesman on why the cost of the tail light housings were not reimbursed. The salesman was VERY responsive when getting us to send deposits or sign the bill of sale. The issues I have with this dealership are three fold: 1. Poor used vehicle inspections - I suspect they miss many issues that folks just are not aware of unless they get a second inspection. 2. Poor customer service and communication once they have your money. 3. They are willing to harm the relationship with a customer (and their reputation) over $300. More
