The mechanic phoned with 3 fake things to try and money grab extra "repairs" for 2 things that most likely will never need doing, and some that are half way to needing to be done. But what do I know, I just read the manual. Weasels that are best avoided, unless you want to sponsor a mechanic. More

And then they gave me an agreed value “including GST rebate” guys, be aware of this trick. Second, they made me leave my car there and I had to empty all my items without offering to help or provide bags. The loaner car they gave me had 32 km range in gas. I had to stop and fill up gas even though my car had a full tank of gas. I have asked them to throw in a tonneau cover - same as the one they have in the show room. When I returned the day after, it turns out to be the cheaper velcro one... I picked up my truck, right off the lot, check engine light went on. I was FURIOUS!!! I returned it. They told me it’s the battery and to change it. This car was supposed to be “detailed and ready for pick up” I phone them few times, they don’t even return your call. And many other things like, give me your credit card as a commitment, kept my old vehicle keys when I asked multiple times to give them back and so my many other things... just overall horrible experience and little games. I feel so dumb that I bought my truck from them. Guys go to Mayfield, they are way more professional! More
Liars, Cheaters, Manipulative People-STAY AWAY A few weeks ago, I inquired about a suv from this place. The salespeople seemed friendly enough. I was looking at buying a 2012 BMW x5 priced at 13, 997. The salesman Zack (aka Thomas) (very friendly, very trustworthy face) kept throwing bi-weekly payments at me of 228 bi-weekly for 48months with 1000 down. When I asked where he was getting these numbers, he said that it was his sales manager's numbers and fiance. I asked him multiple times for my interest rate and he said he would know until the finance portion of the deal. I asked him then where 228 bi-weekly was coming from. He told me from 13, 997 and sales manager. I told him I wanted to think about it and run the numbers but was pressured into what I thought was 13,997. He got me to put down a $1000.00 deposit non-refundable to show I was a serious buyer, but no time during the interaction did he me an interest rate and said that only finance could do that and before that could happen, I would need to put the $1000 down. Luckily, it was taking finance too long to get the paperwork ready and I hadn't eaten all day or even been offered water during the 5 hours I was there. I took off an told them I would be back tomorrow. When I got home I ran the numbers and a 13, 997 suv over 4 years with a $1000 down with thier numbers was going to cost me close to 22 000. That is almost twice the amount of the SUV. No way I was buying that. I called up a lawyer and was told that the dealership cannot make a deposit non-refundable without explaining everything to you. I was advised to call and complain to AMVIC. I went in the next day and talked to General Manager Sandy. He stayed calm with me, he was very good listener, he was very respectful, and he did return my deposit. However, when I asked him about the interest rates he told me that used cars are between 6-10 % and said that the salesperson should have told me that. I agree, used car interest does fall there. He told me my rate was 8% and he could try to bring it down. However, after my consultation with a lawyer and 3 dealerships, I have been informed they tried to charge me over 30% interest on a 2012 suv. I'm not blaming Sandy in any way, I'm not even sure that he knew what the numbers equalled, but how can your dealership be ok with lying, cheating, and manipulating people. They tried to tell me that 30% interest was 8 %. Honestly, stay away from these people. I explained to them I was a single parent, working 2 jobs, going to school and they felt it was ok to take advantage of a vulnerable person. I understand they need to make money but right out lying and stealing from people is disgusting. If they have not returned a deposit to you or have been crooked in anyway CALL AMVIC and report them. People pay their paychecks with their hard-worked honest money. They can lose their licence and they should until they learn what proper commitment to thier customers looks like. If I wanted to be ripped off, I would go somewhere sleazy. They are a disgrace to GO AUTO and they shouldn't even be associated with the name. Shame on you Toyota on the trail!! You're a disgrace to an honourable name - Toyota. Honestly, they can not keep your deposit without disclosing all information to you and even then. Go read AMVICS rules. These sleazy grease xxxxx don't deserve your money until they change their disgusting ways. Honestly, STAY AWAY Since dealing with them I have bought an SUV from River City Hundyai.... and the experience was 180 and degrees opposite. They never took my deposit until everything was explained with finances and interest rates and bi-weekly payments and said it was fully refundable. Never checked my credit until I was ready to buy the SUV from them. There was no pressure. Honestly, this dealership could learn a lot from them and how they do business and how their sales manager Billy and sales consultant Kabir do business. Go anywhere else, but don't go here!!!! Otherwise, be ready to be ripped off. You deserve better service for your hard-earned money. More

They are terrible money grabbers, they convinced us into signing a non refundable fee to hold a car as they were having a GST sale which turned out to be a lie. We committed $500, returned the next day and wanting to back out but not able to get our money back. A guy called CJ got my number from wherever and continued to pressure me till I came in to their shop, he connected me with different sales guy who connected me with their xxxxty sales manager and got $500 from us to hold the vehicle even when we weren’t ready to start the purchase. Poor customer service, all about your money, they act like they’re beating the price of other dealers but in the real sense they just play with the figures and arrive at same price or even more than other dealers. DO NOT GO TO THEM! More

Was talked down to, treated like a lesser person, and tried to discuss matters with me that they clearly were not educated in. Have been a loyal Toyota customer for my last 3 vehicles and was very happy with Mayfield and Gateway locations... maybe it is just Toyota on the Trail that has this poor level of service. Ended up at Sherwood Park Chevrolet and the service from the salesman, finance department and dealership manager was extraordinary, beyond my expectations. More
