We had shopped around on line and made a few phone queries. Kanata Toyota seemed competitive so we drove in (we live just over an hour away). Have to say that it was worth the trip. Loren Hansen was assigned to help us - his professional demeanor and calm approach eased our apprehensions within the first few minutes of speaking to him. He truly listened to us and explained the vehicle in full. Too often, we have gone vehicle shopping and felt that we were being pushed into making a deal. Loren gave us the space to discuss when we asked him for a few minutes and answered every question in detail. We purchased our RAV4 from him and will ask for him again in the future, when the need for a vehicle arises. Thank you Loren! Also, want to mention the lovely lady that was at the entrance when we came shopping - she was very welcoming. More
Recommend with qualifications I was a customer of TGT for over 20 years and generally felt that I was treated fairly. However a few more recent experiences have left me wondering if the change in management has altered the way they do business. Generally I have found them to be very friendly but that is only a very small part of what makes dealership good. I was given a quote of over $3000.00 to completely replace my exhaust system and was told that this was what was needed. I took the vehicle to another organization that looked at it and told me that the exhaust system was in great condition except for the flange that was rusted out and needed to be replaced. I then took the time to take a look at the system myself and hammered on it from the tail pipe to manifold only to find that it was indeed solid. The cost to replace the flange and bolts and springs was under $100 using Toyota parts. It has been two year since that occurred and it is still fine. My difficulty is that this seriously eroded my trust of the dealership although I realize that it might be only one person that mislead me. Later I went to have a safety done and was told that the front brakes were seized when they had just been serviced. As it turned out they were not "seized' but the "original Toyota part was just slightly too big to function properly. Instead of simply telling me that a small adjustment was needed, I was told that it was "seized" which was serious flaw in communication and upset me because it "seemed" that this was just an attempt to squeeze additional work out of me. I realize that the problem probably was more a case of poor communication in that case but it still left me wondering if it was deliberate. On another occasion I as told that an error that had resulted in me having to pay for service for the same issue twice, would result in me getting a discount but that discount never materialized. I want to be fair about this assessment but It is difficult for me to not wonder if things have changed at TGT. More

We never felt rushed and it was very helpful that Loren knew the Toyota lineup so well as we went through a number of vehicles before selecting the RAV4. I would recommend this dealership, and especially Loren, to anyone looking for a new vehicle. Best car buying experience I have ever had We dealt with Loren Henson for our recent Highlander purchase. He is by far the best car saleman I have ever worked with. He is super polite and helpf We dealt with Loren Henson for our recent Highlander purchase. He is by far the best car saleman I have ever worked with. He is super polite and helpful but not pressuring at all. I first met him when I popped in for brochures and felt no pressure at all. When I went for a test drive with him he thoroughly explained all features of the vehicles and actually took me out to test features on the vehicle not just cruise around. His test drive hits up country road where he really lets you test AWD features. At no point during my many visits did I feel pressured or uncomfortable by him. Super knowledgeable and proud of all vehicles he sells. Assuming Toyota makes what I need I will be sure to deal with Loren only again. Wish I could give him more than a 5 star rating. The day we picked up our vehicle he even had a shirt and tie on that matched our vehicles interior and exterior colour. How awesome is that. The entire dealership was very family oriented and accommodating the days we did vist with our 2 year old daughter. More

I expected the work to be done well as I have had other work done at the collision centre. What I did not expect was that her car would be detailed inside and out. It looks fantastic. I said why he said the new carss unrelastic story . Any way told him it is ok I am buying a new car . He did not care . I went to the show room no one single sales approach me . An hour plus later o went to take my car the Servic guy did not even bother looking at me . I asked the gentleman who served me what is the name of this guy . The guy did not even ask me why . Guys Toyota make good cars . I can and will buy one but not from Kanata . Not going back for service either . More
