We at Thornhill Hyundai look to meet and exceed our customer expectations 110% of the time. We strive to provide a customer experience which will not only leave customers happy, but one that we can be proud of. We are aware that there is work to be done, and are working every day to become a stronger team. My role as a manager, and a representative of Thornhill Hyundai, is sometimes to protect our employees from potentially hurtful or abusive individuals. Our process, should this happen, is the removal of the sales associate and a turn over of the customer to a manager, in this case, myself. Our team understands that the purchase process can be very stressful, and the overall weight of what a customer goes through sometimes causes adverse reactions that could be uncharacteristic of the person. In this instance the customer was no longer interested in professional conversation and, as he became uncontrollable, we politely asked him to leave. Upon his refusal, as is our policy for the safety of customers and employees, we requested support from the Thornhill Police Department. It is very seldom that we are put in a situation where we cannot find resolution to a customer issue as it is our customers that keep us in business, but it is our first priority to ensure the safety of all those at the workplace. Our parent company takes this type of accusation very seriously and launched an internal investigation lead by one of our Executive Vice Presidents. After interviewing fellow employees and reviewing the Video feed from the store security we have concluded that the customer’s perception of what happened, and how, must have been skewed by their emotional state. Once again, I must iterate that Luiza is a top performer, receiving accolades and positive reviews from all her customers with this being her first customer complaint. I am terribly sorry that Mr. Bell had such a negative experience at Thornhill Hyundai and I wish him all the best with his new purchase.
