But Marc Burton was just great. I have gone to SOM several times before I purchased my car and it wasn't because of the service or lack there of but because I couldnt decide what I wanted vs. what I could afford and so on and so forth. Marc, not once, did me make me feel pressured or anxious or stressed - this was my first time purchasing a car and this whole process was very stressful for me, some salespeople can tell and they would try to pressure me and push me into buying a car, but not Marc. He was very relaxed, friendly, and knowledgable. During the months (yes MONTHS) when I was searching for a car I would email him several times and he always responded to any questions or concerns I had. When it came to making the purchase, Marc made my mother and I feel very comfortable. The questions & concerns kept coming and Marc always responded with a smile. He helped us get the best possible price he could on my Forester, and ensured I understood every step of the process; he would explain things to me 50 times over again if I didn't. Not only did the process go extremely well but I feel like I made a friend along the way as well. Would recommend Marc to anyone! More

Lies, lies lies. nothing but lies. I will give it to him, he is friendly or at least starts like it. From his mouth, we are corporately owned and the only one in Canada like that. Basically told me he would give me a great deal for a 2015 model but I had to put in a deposit down for a pre-order. I live far from this dealership but decided to give him a chance. Throughout my dealings with him, I felt like I knew a lot more about the car than he did and found information on the new model that he did not even know existed. Months go by when the car finally arrives, his tone changed. No more friendliness. No deal to be had, no budging what so ever. The discount that he said I would get was no longer true. I felt like he was back pedalling and said the discount was for another car and he had misunderstood. He sounded very unprofessional at this time. Because there was a waiting list and I was the first one to pre-order, it almost felt like he knew the next guy in line was willing to pay full price so he basically told me to take a hike if you will. In all honestly, I don't blame a dealership for wanting full price on a car that is limited and in demand. What is infuriating is that he knew there was no deal on the new model when he took my deposit yet he failed to tell me then. He strung me along the whole way and because of this, I got turned off. felt stupid and embarrassed and therefore, no longer wanted the car. I decided to wait but because of this, it would mean months before I could get the car that I wanted. Eventually I found one locally which managed to get me a heck of a deal. Patience is a virtue and it paid off here. Just a warning for others, do not let the smiles fool you. More
