Clearing up all the paperwork was also a quickly and painless process, with everything explained in detail, so as a consumer, I had no surprises. Spent well over an hour with Doug reviewing the vehicle and he took the time to go ever each option, explaining its function and giving a quick tutorial on best use of them all. In going over the manual, he had flagged some important material and made sure I was aware and understood it. Couldn’t have had a better experience and Doug kept it fun and exciting all the way through. More
My boyfriend went to bring in his Subaru WRX for a recall regarding the fuel pump and B type oil change service. When he was getting his fuel pump recall completed, they called him and told him that they regarding the fuel pump and B type oil change service. When he was getting his fuel pump recall completed, they called him and told him that they would have to drain some of his gas (he had 3/4 of a tank, would drain a quarter tank) to complete the task or rebook the recall. The reason for this was because they did not have a pan for the gas, or a jerry can. Because we booked it in for a reason, and needing it done that day. We said “whatever, dump the gas”. (After he suggested other ways to save the gas). My frustration is we spent just over $550 for an oil change. Almost $40,000 for the vehicle. $60 for the tank of gas (yes, I guess I’m upset about only $15; but it’s the principle more than the money). And you couldn’t find a jerry can or pan in a mechanic shop? More
Took my Outback in to get the back window seal replaced. Eventho I purchased my vehicle in Grande Prairie, my husband and myself were treated as if we bought vehicle there. Myself and my mother in law have had 3 vehicles serviced here. If your car is off warranty, take it somewhere else. I took mine in for the last warranty service and they said that it needed an alignment. My here. If your car is off warranty, take it somewhere else. My wife didn't run over anything to cause it, so I took it to a mechanic and they said there was nothing wrong with the alignment. Also, I booked an appointment to have my wifes seat fixed as the side of the back ripped for no reason. They said the warranty was off 4 months ago and that they won't cover it. Myself and my mother in law will never deal with this branch again. More

I was very pleased with the way things went. I must admit that I was sceptical that I would be told NO this equipment failure is not covered under warranty. Bought our first subaru in 2017 salesman ken was great liked him so much, we put a second car on order in 2019, that is when the troubles started. Mother in law had medical problem, went blind, had a new liked him so much, we put a second car on order in 2019, that is when the troubles started. Mother in law had medical problem, went blind, had a newer car with low miles that we were going to use, tried to cancel the second car, refused to give 1000$ deposit back, we were waiting upstairs for the sales manager to come and talk to us about it, but first I observed the sales manager and the assistant talk over tacticts to use on us, if they doint go for that then tell them this, and if they dont go for that then tell them this, they hatched 3 different plans before talking to us, little did they know I was on the second floor looking over the edge watching this going on. Ended up having to take car in for service to use the credit, this is when things got worse. they did a full brake service, which in my mechanics opinion who looked at the car after it was at subaru, was not done. Then a year later a wheel bearing needs to be replaced under warranty, the tech ripped the cv boot and bent the rear backing plate for the brake, bent it back into shape, cut some metal off it with a grinder, put it back together and did not say anything about the DAMAGE that was caused by one of the subaru techs. My other mechanic notices this damage immediately upon inspection, Long story short that is still ongoing, first they denied it, then they try giving some lame excuse how it happened, which I point out that it most likely did not happen like that, more denial then the service manager asks me, and I quote him here " whats the big deal we fixed it for you" Well the big deal is your tech should not of damaged the vehicle in the first place! Your tech should not of hidden the damage! I should of been informed of the damage! You should not of tried to deny it! You should not of lied about what happened! You should of been honest from the start! And your service advisors lie about knowing of common problems with the Subaru brand, it is always the first time they have seen this problem!!! So from my experience with Subaru City, I found them to be the greasiest of car sales, the service department is lacking professionalism. What kind of place is this that it is necessary to have your car inspected by another mechanic after it is worked on at Subaru City??? And thank goodness we had the work reinspected by a competent mechanic, as it would have cost us even more money down the road, or is that the point???? And the Subaru car has had several problems early on in its life that have never occured in 200000km or 10 years in other vehicles. I have 1.7 million km of driving experience in about 15 different vehicles, and have never had the problems we have had in this Subaru. Lee O'Geil Edmonton Ab. More
