In addition to this advertisement, it clearly states there are “no strings attached” and “no pressure salesperson.” We decided to email and indicated we were interested in buying a SUV type car. Because why not? No strings attached, right? WRONG We called in to book a test drive for the Hyundai Tucson, and my fiancé was automatically connected with a GoAuto representative. We were looking forward to a lovely experience at the dealership. Unbeknownst to us, it would be by far the worst experiences we have ever had being to a car dealership—Southtown Hyundai. Immediately, the feel we got out of the dealership was a “used car dealership” ambiance. All the sales representatives were unprofessional and standing around and chatting away. In particular, the individual we dealt with, Jordan Peterson was very rude to us from the beginning. We took a test drive in the Tucson with him and the entire time he was condescending and kept saying how great this car was compared to other makes of comparable size, i.e. Honda CRV and Toyota RAV. When we returned back to the dealership after the test drive, we took a seat and immediately he asked us, “So what can I do to make a deal today?” We indicated, clearly, from the beginning that we were looking around only. He proceeded to walk away for some time, correction, for a very long time, making us sit there waiting. He came back to us with numbers all written out with a deal on a piece of paper. Really? Like I said previously, we were only looking. We wanted NOT to make a deal and without question we made that very clear. Then we asked if we could get the $50 gift certificate and he said, let me check with my manager. And so he left, leaving us to wait once more. Finally he came back and said he talked with his manager and said they did not have any in stock. Yeah right. Jordan said we could come back on Monday and pick up the card. So we did, and we got it. Going back to my first paragraph. False advertisement on GoAuto’s part? Yes. We were pressured by the salesperson we dealt with. It's like we had to work so hard just for this gift card. We are very disappointed with our experience at Southtown Hyundai, will never go back again, and will not recommend this place to anyone. There was no customer service whatsoever when we visited this dealership. Professional and customer-service oriented staff? I don’t think so. This story has a happy ending though, because we visited a couple of Honda dealerships in town, and they had excellent customer service. They were caring and actually cared about what we said and what we wanted. This compensates for the lack of customer service at Southtown Hyundai. We ended up buying a Honda CRV and it was the best decision we made. More

I Got an amazing price on the jeep and the best price of any dealership I went to for my trade in without any haggle. The staff made everything quick and painless and threw in a lot of extras to make the whole exsperience a 10/10. I will definitely be returning to south town for my next vehicle and highly recommend this dealership and its staff! More

Great Dealership! I and my mom have been a customer for years now with Southtown Hyundai. I have bought four vehicles through Hyundai from several Hyundai dealerships I and my mom have been a customer for years now with Southtown Hyundai. I have bought four vehicles through Hyundai from several Hyundai dealerships in Edmonton. I have purchased two of them through Southtown Hyundai and this is by far the best dealership and where I have received the highest standard of service. I purchased a Genesis in August of 2014. I dealt with Aaron for the sale and can say that he is a go getter and responds to inquires, emails and phone calls very promptly. Aaron was very accommodating and although very helpful was not a pushy, annoying salesman which works for me as I do not do well with that style. I knew exactly what I wanted prior to speaking with Aaron and did not want to settle for any other car and he made sure that I got it. Aaron worked very hard at getting me the best deal in order to work the car into my budget. The car is beautiful and I absolutely LOVE it!! The Service through Hyundai has been exceptional and the Service Manager was able to work with me on servicing my car before the warranty expired even though the were entirely flooded with appointments. The service department here has always been excellent. I really appreciate when I get emails advising when servicing is due. Follow up by Ashlie MacArthur to ensure I was happy with my purchase was a really important customer service strategy for this dealership. Most never speak with you again after your purchase. Southtown realizes that your purchase is just the beginning of the relationship with the customer. It has worked for me as I bought my first car with them in 1998. My only disappointment with my purchase was that the advertised kilometers were a lot higher when I purchased the car as one of the Managers was driving it. That was a disappointment to me and the only reason I did not give 5 stars in a couple of areas. I just have to make sure that I address that issue right away if I run into it again. All in all I am very happy with the car and look forward to purchasing from Southtown again in the future. More
