To begin, I had almost purchased a used vehicle from another dealer and phoned Sherwood Dodge as nothing more than a price check. Mark, the salesperson, was straightforward enough with me on the phone that I decided to go over for a test drive. He was friendly, honest, and to-the-point, but it was late in the day and so we took it overnight for a test drive. Here's where things began to go sideways. Came in the next day to purchase the vehicle, hadn't agreed on a price but we had agreed on the first two digits. Trace Thacker was the salesguy I dealt with that day, and to call him unprofessional would be an understatement. He lied and said the price discussed the day before would put them underwater on the vehicle and lowballed me on my trade.. Furthermore, he took my license for the paperwork and never gave it back, We left that day without buying anything. Mark called me the next day, pricing was back where it had been, trade was a respectable number and we closed the deal. End of story right? Wrong. I didn't have my license, Trace offered to bring it to my work and then never showed up. He hung up on me when I called him for an ETA. Driving back to Sherwood Dodge, I noticed a significant amount of smoke coming from the engine. All of the good feelings from the day before had vanished. Here is where Jordan Clarke entered the picture. From moment one when I had issues he said "It's a certified vehicle, we'll take care of you." Turned out the engine was blown. Previous owner had never done an oil change (pver 60,000km), and had disguised the issue when trading it in. Car dealers have a checkered reputation, and it hadn't all been sunshine and roses with the dealer up until now but I have to say that along every step of the way, Jordan was true to his word, looked out for my interests, and delivered on every promise over the following two months.as he diligently searched for a replacement vehicle. I was given high quality loaner cars the entire time I didn't have my own and when the car I ultimately bought came along the service department moved all of the upgraded components over from my previous purchase (remote starter, mats, running boards, and a brand new tow hitch) free of charge). Now the car was guaranteed. The dealership was obligated to repair the original car. But Jordan went so far above and beyond what was required of him that, until I closed the deal, I wasn't even sure I could believe it. Sherwood Dodge has most certainly kept me as a customer, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone. Just don't deal with Trace. More

Terrible Service & Repair and only gets better from there! I brought my 2015 car in to have recall work performed as well as to have the Navigation System repaired as it quite working. While there I was asked I brought my 2015 car in to have recall work performed as well as to have the Navigation System repaired as it quite working. While there I was asked if I would like the winterization package performed on my vehicle. I said sure, knowing that my husband works out of town and I need to keep up my vehicle in his absence... otherwise he always does this stuff for me (love that man!) Dropped the vehicle off mid-November, 2016 at 9 am. At 5:50pm that day I called in to ask if my vehicle had been completed and found out it had and that they were closing in 10 minutes. So I dashed down there to find everyone in the service department to be gone for the day. So I headed over to sales, paid the bill for the extra non-warranty work and proceed to my car. I find it, jump in and start it up... to find that: - the re-call work had not been performed, and - the Navigation system was still not working. Walking back into service I spoke with Curtis, a 'Manager' who upon calling someone from service at home found that further parts were required to be ordered and I would need to come back to have the parts installed.... I would have greatly appreciated being told that... along with a phone call that my car was ready for pickup...remember - they didn't call to let me know the car was ready to be picked up. Enter 2 days later and we are hit with a major snowstorm, while out in Edmonton I turn on my wipers to distinguish the snow and they won't move... I pull over and found they are frozen to the windshield. Ok no biggie, I release them from the windshield, jump back in and proceed to spray windshield washer fluid... NOTHING comes out. Now I'm totally confused! I mean I paid for a winterization package and while there got to scratch a prize card which gifted me a windshield wiper top up (lucky me!) I get home and tell my husband the wiper fluid won't come out.... he steps outside and finds that they put summer fluid in my vehicle. Hmmm... well that was helpful - thank you SherwoodDodge! Wait it doesn't end there... since getting my car that day the wheels felt very weird - included in the winterization package was a tire rotation and I thought great! My car only had approximately 31,000 kms and the tires had never been rotated - again thought I was doing my husband a favour! I've only driven it a few times outside of Sherwood Park since then and again, something didn't feel right. Again, mentioned it to hubby. Today, on my way out to St. Albert the tires COULD NOT handle the ice at all! It was terrible and yet I know they were not like that going in. You know you know your vehicle, I always felt sure behind the wheel of my car and today I DID NOT at all! So again hubby walks outside and looks at the tires... he comes back in and says the wear on the tires on my car look terrible and those DO NOT look like the tires I had! Again, remember I only had 31000 kms on them - and after looking at them today, we've now determined we'll need to buy new ones, there is almost no tread left on the ones on my car... really, how does it get any better than that?!?! (Enter much more sarcasm here) I get that tires will wear in different ways... and people know their car. I put my kids in this car each and every day so I'm very aware of it's sounds, and the way it maneuvers. Stay with me... there's just a little bit more to report here. The morning after picking up my car from SherwoodDodge un-repaired, I did receive a call from a gal in the Service Centre who did apologize for not calling and let me know that the parts would be arriving in 3-5 days. I thanked her and asked, 'Should I call back to check on the parts arrival?" to which she gleefully responded with, 'Absolutely not, we'll call you!" I thought - great, we can start over... I'm always willing to give someone another chance. Car went in for repair on 16 November... today as I write this it is 16 December and.... - I have not received a call about the parts for my car (3-5 days... we are now on Day 31) for recall parts and broken Navigation system - hubby flushed the summer fluid out of my car, and - we will be stopping by Costco tomorrow to purchase new tires for my car. I had a gut feeling to not take the car there (it's under full warranty PLUS all the extra's I purchased when we bought it brand new) I could have taken it to any certified shop and yet I didn't listen to my gut, thought this would be easier and am now terribly sorry for not listening to my husband! (Shhhhh... don't tell him!) All kidding aside, I'm in the business of customer service and this service is terrible, with promises delivered and no follow through. Will be looking for a GREAT, certified service shop.... any ideas?? More
