I am writing this review on Sherwood Park Dodge to, hopefully, inform anyone who thinks dealing with them is a good idea. If I could give them negative numbers, I would but I guess a 1 will have to do. hopefully, inform anyone who thinks dealing with them is a good idea. If I could give them negative numbers, I would but I guess a 1 will have to do. Please for, god sake, listen to the reviews online because, had I done that, I would of never done business with these guys and would have saved myself a lot of grief and disappointment. My new car purchase was a total nightmare from the get go and just got worse as it droned on. Condescending sales people that know very little about their product. Sales people that immediately try to offload their responsibility, for the deal, by saying things like "this is how THEY do it" and "THEY do things like that", it's like they don't even work for Sherwood Park Dodge. You spend a lot of money there and they can't even remember what you look like when you go to pick up your truck. Lack of interest in resolving any issues. They seem to always make a person wait, wait while your talking to the sales person, wait while he goes and sees what "THEY" will do, wait when you come to sign the papers, wait when you come to get your new truck, wait, wait, wait! They NEVER call you back, EVER! It seemed like I was doing all the work while trying to purchase an new vehicle from them. The sales person makes an appointment and then isn't there for the appointment. The "hard sell" is happening as soon as you sit down in the office, I was asked if the "payment" was good with me approx. 6 times even after I told them that I didn't like the price of the truck. The sales people do not listen to anything you say. It's always "we're pretty busy" and "we've been swamped" whenever you talk to them but the dealership is empty! The New Car Sales Manager just blows you off when you complain and pretty much doesn't do anything for you. Again with the distancing from the sales person, "oh he's not on my crew" or "He's new and doesn't know". Very little interest in resolving any problems. When you buy a NEW car it's supposed to be fun and exciting, Sherwood Park Dodge just couldn't care less what the customer experience is. Absolutely the worst dealership I have ever had the misfortune to buy a car from!!!!! I will NOT recommend this dealership and WILL NEVER go there again for anything! Please, if you see this, spread the word, I would hate to have anyone else get mistreated by these guys while trying to make a very major purchase! DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM SHERWOOD PARK DODGE! More
We came to this dealership immediately after they opened, as a long time friend moved to their new dealership as a salesmen. We have purchased vehicles from them and found their sales people to be very open & as a long time friend moved to their new dealership as a salesmen. We have purchased vehicles from them and found their sales people to be very open & honest with nothing hidden. Since that date (2008) our family has been bringing our dodge/jeep products (Dodge 3500, Dodge 1500, Dakota, Liberty and Grand Cherokee) to this dealership and we have always had friendly reliable service, (Marvin in particular). This team of people put in the extra effort, they understand and cover off on all the details, and stand by their quotes, never have we been handed a last minute surprise. We have had regular maintenance performed, after market goodies installed, warranty/recall work, tire service and oil changes and yes little body work done too. I have competitively shopped and there is a lot of competition in the Edmonton market and have always found them to be positioned in the middle of the pack. Over the past +/- 6 years we have dealt with every department at this dealership and found the level of customer service to be high. The ownership and management of this dealership understand that the customer comes first and they maintain a high level of customer service by hiring excellent service professionals who also understand that their success depends on the customer's satisfaction. This dealership defies the stereotype, they are not greasy or sleazy, in fact they are the type of people you would invite over to your house for a beer and barbecue on the weekend My family does highly recommend them. Such a disappointment. Drove in for an "Express" oil change and was told, by a rather unprofessional female advisor, that is would be up to 2 hrs. When I asked if it would be better to ma "Express" oil change and was told, by a rather unprofessional female advisor, that is would be up to 2 hrs. When I asked if it would be better to make an appt, I was told that "we don't really do that". Also, while I was waiting for the advisor, a gentleman returned with his truck complaining that the tech forgot to reset his in dash indication. I mentioned it was a quick solve and showed him how, which annoyed the advisor but sure made their customer. I decided to see what my experience would be like and I am certain to avoid recommending this delearship. I also wandered through the showroom and not one person welcomed me. As a Jeep owner who is interested in trading in the near future, the complete void of customer service or even acknowledgement secures my business elsewhere. Since I had so much time on my hands, I wrote this review. Pathetic. Also just as a word of advice: keep your personal business for your personal time. And treat coworkers with a little more respect. Might give the appearance that you actually enjoy your job. More
Brought my truck for out of province inspection. Was told that I had to install mud flaps to pass. When I pointed out 13 trucks in the lot I was told that mud flaps would be installed in those ones prior to sale. Next I was told that all lug nuts needed replacement and that they were $16 each. I found lug nuts for 1/10th that price dropped them off and was told the truck would be ready in an hour. Two hours later when I checked the technician had not even started. An hour after that they said they would not pass inspection with those lug nuts. It took them. Further hour and a half to return my keys and I still had to wait a half hour for them to find my paperwork. All in they wanted to charge me $700 to pass the inspection. This is on a 1 year old truck with 17,000kms. I took the truck to another shop where they let me look at the out of province guidelines which did not refer to either lug nuts or mud flaps. The truck passed inspection for the cost of the inspection. More
Wow, I haven't spent too much time at dealerships, but if my experience at Sherwood Park Dodge is any indication, I won't make too many efforts to visit them. My wife and I inquired about a vehicle but if my experience at Sherwood Park Dodge is any indication, I won't make too many efforts to visit them. My wife and I inquired about a vehicle on SPD's website and asked some specific questions. While our email was quickly acknowledged (a good thing!), our questions were not, nor were they EVER answered, even though we were told by two different sales people that they would be. We went to visit the dealership and take the vehicle for a test drive but had limited time. We spoke to the same sales rep we had been in conversation with via email, but rather than taking to address our questions, he said, "We'll take care of you" and just tried to get us to agree to an interest rate and buy the vehicle. It was nearly closing time, so it was obviously making a quick sale, rather than the right sale, was the priority. We decided to return two days later when we had more time. We took the vehicle for a longer test drive, and this time, spoke with a different sales person. As we arrived, we saw another couple about to go out on a test drive in that same vehicle (they were in it already when we got there). The new salesperson told us that he had to get the key - a process which took 30 minutes. Rather than acknowledging someone was out in the vehicle, he tried to convince us that it was parked somewhere on the large lot. We knew that wasn't true. After our test drive, we asked him our questions. He told us to email them, and that if we did before 9pm, he would get back to us by early the next morning (8:30 or 9:00 a.m.). That never happened. When I finally managed to get a hold of higher management (president, general manager and sales manager), they simply made excuses for their employees' behaviours and justified it. One manager even told me they couldn't get me the answers because they were short-staffed, yet when we were there, there were at least five or six sales guys standing around waiting for customers, not to mention the four managers in the "Sales Tower." When they finally got back to us, at the end of the next day, they listed the excuses and then told us the vehicle was sold (to that same couple). How convenient to wait that long to get back to us. They didn't have to do any of the work. Had they gotten back to us when they said they would, the sale would have likely been made sooner, as we were VERY serious about purchasing the SUV. Because of the lies, manipulation, deceit and outright justification of inexcusable customer service, we will never buy a vehicle from SPD and will do our best to let others know not to buy from there either.
