A difficult thing to have to admit but …I’m a bit slow!! I went in to get the current 0% financing that was going on and ended up misunderstanding and finished up a deal that I really thought better of and…signed for. ? This was done on a Saturday afternoon. I left and ended up being totally haunted by my decision all weekend!! . I called Monday AM and Finance Manager Brandon, tried to help me a couple ways, talked to his Superior and in the end agreed, because I knew it was best for me, to ‘Kybosh’ the entire deal. I got my little car back and was able to sleep the next night. Obviously ….Do NOT follow my example, but it was an honest misjudgment on my part and so after I explained my situation and, a few hours on their part, they came up with some solutions and/or the choice to forgo the entire deal. I’m sure this caused them some grief administratively however I am PROFUSELY thankful ! Yes – please don’t do this to them or yourself but DO know I recommend you shop at Sherwood Park Dodge!!! They really do fit the description of kind, service oriented and ‘there for the Customer’. Thank YOU and sorry everyone at SP Dodge!! And buy a Fiat – so far a great little car!!! More
Proceed With Caution Recently, I brought my van in for a repair because the check engine light was on and drive-ability was getting bad rather quickly. Before I did that I Recently, I brought my van in for a repair because the check engine light was on and drive-ability was getting bad rather quickly. Before I did that I took it to an independent mechanic that I have known for years, he scanned it, looked up the codes and proceeded to indicate that the repair would most likely be covered under warranty. He explained what I should tell the service department at the dealership we had done and I did. So now I have the van in, the details given to the dealership and I leave it in their capable hands. I get a call back saying that their diagnosis is completely different from the independents and the repair would NOT be covered under warranty. So I questioned the logic behind the repair and asked for an explanation. I was not happy with the response and called Chrysler for a little added clarity. They were not entirely helpful with that sort of information as they don't deal with workmanship, understandable. Chrysler requested me to keep them in the loop with what happens from this point. I phone my mechanic friend now and say what the heck is going on. He says he doesn't understand their reasoning but it's totally possible however unlikely, that what they suggest needs to be done. So I tell them to go ahead and fix it. Now comes the fun, I CANNOT for the life of me, get a hold of anyone or get them to call me back. I am redirected to the service department 4 or 5 times before I just leave a message. I finally get a call back saying my vehicle is done so I go and pick it up a little later in the evening and pay my bill. I leave the parking lot and this thing is now running about the same as a chuck wagon on a dirty road, horribly. Same problem, engine light is on, if anything it appears to be running worse. Now I'm getting a little frustrated, what the xxxx! So I take it back to my friend, the independent mechanic, and he scans it again. The exact same problem is still there. I call the dealership and they say to bring it back in. They now agree with the initial diagnosis and proceed with the warranty repair. Did they fix the problem? Yes. Can I trust that they will make the correct diagnosis the first time? No. Without outside help I would have been left wondering what was going on and possibly stuck with an ever increasing bill. I was refunded a large portion of my first bill; minus a few parts that HAD to be left in the vehicle. What I did right on this was to seek the help of Chrysler right off the bat when the information from the dealership didn't seem to make sense. The service adviser I dealt with was very polite to me and I commend him on his ability to manage information he is given. So that is the only reason you get 4 stars for "Friendliness". The service manager only talked to me once and differed the rest to the adviser. Please be careful when dealing here, and be sure to document your experience or you may end up paying for it. More
Excellent buying experience!!!! I emailed the dealership, with questions about a truck, Aaren emailed me back that night. We made an appointment for the Saturday. We were 1/2 hour early as soon as we walked up to the dealership doors the employees were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We sat down down with Aaren and He went through what we were looking for in a truck He had a list of trucks that he showed us, and got 2 trucks he thought we would be interested in one was new and one was used. He went through the pro and cons of both. My husband and I both feel that between Aaren and Hot Rod, we were given all information we needed to make the right decision. When we asked for time to discuss it we were offered coffee and lunch and left alone to talk. Once we made the decision we were helped by Aaren to make the details work. We left the truck there until Sunday ( which was Aaren's off), Once again we were early the salespeople asked if we need help, but once they found out we were looked after they were more than happy to visit . We were offered coffee as we waited. Aaren took about 30 min to go through the options of our truck and to make sure we understood everything and gave us pointers , he helped me set up my phone since I had no idea. This is the 4th new vehicle we have bought, We feel as though its the first time we were not fed a line of BS that we had to sort through before we could make a decision. Best salesservice we have ever had, we will be back!! More
Thick twice about which sales man you use at this dealership recently purchased a Dodge Durango, dealership had to get the vehicle I wanted from another dealership as they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. recently purchased a Dodge Durango, dealership had to get the vehicle I wanted from another dealership as they didn't have what I wanted on the lot. The sales person used at Sherwood Park dodge was Shane Johnson, he goes on and on about how great he is constantly, didn't get that good of a deal, but he goes on and on about himself! When I picked up my vehicle the spare key was not available as the other dealership was having problems with the lock box and it would be a couple of days before we could get our spare key. Three weeks later still no spare key, called and got some line about the other dealership not cooperating, this went on for about a week, I called the other dealership and was informed that no one had inquired about the spare keys, will look into and get back to me, they called back in less than five minutes keys were in the mail! The salesman was very personable and spent the whole day with us while we tried truck after truck until he found the right one for us. The finance people went out of their way to make sure we could take the truck home that night. Very happy with the sales end of the dealership. I have sent two other people to deal with our salesman and they were happy as well. I have no experience with the service part of the dealership. More

New Car Purchase I recently purchased a 2014 Dodge Charger from Sherwood Dodge, and I am extremely happy with my experience. I've bought many used cars in the past I recently purchased a 2014 Dodge Charger from Sherwood Dodge, and I am extremely happy with my experience. I've bought many used cars in the past both from dealers and private sale and had mostly bad experiences where ever its been, unfortunately in our area the majority of the dealerships are owned by a single auto group that holds no real value in customer service or backing their vehicles, so the main thing i was looking for when purchasing my first brand new vehicle was that the dealership not be owned by this group and to have friendly, and prompt service. Sherwood Dodge has been very friendly, and helpful through my new car purchase experience. Any questions I've had have been answered fully and promptly. I ended up taking home my new car the same day I went to look at it. I couldn't be happier with how quick everything went through, and how the staff were throughout. They gave me everything I wanted in my purchase, as well as a great value for my trade in. All in all I would highly recommend any one in the market for a new vehicle check this dealership out! More
Used car experience I bought my son a used car from Sherwood Dodge. The car never passed the inspection but I was told by the dealership it was fine to drive and bring it I bought my son a used car from Sherwood Dodge. The car never passed the inspection but I was told by the dealership it was fine to drive and bring it back within the first month and they would fix it. Within the first couple weeks my son was rear ended and the transmission went. The insurance wrote it off and paid me approx half the purchase price. The sales rep said he would honor the lost difference on another used vehicle. After 2 months of endless phone calls and broken promises from the sales rep and sales manager I had had enough. I told them I would no longer deal with them. I went to another dealership (Sherwood Kia) and bought another used vehicle that runs great. Sherwood Dodge will never see my face, my sons or many people I have shared my story with. Once bitten twice shy, they are a company whos word means nothing! More
I am writing this review on Sherwood Park Dodge to, hopefully, inform anyone who thinks dealing with them is a good idea. If I could give them negative numbers, I would but I guess a 1 will have to do. hopefully, inform anyone who thinks dealing with them is a good idea. If I could give them negative numbers, I would but I guess a 1 will have to do. Please for, god sake, listen to the reviews online because, had I done that, I would of never done business with these guys and would have saved myself a lot of grief and disappointment. My new car purchase was a total nightmare from the get go and just got worse as it droned on. Condescending sales people that know very little about their product. Sales people that immediately try to offload their responsibility, for the deal, by saying things like "this is how THEY do it" and "THEY do things like that", it's like they don't even work for Sherwood Park Dodge. You spend a lot of money there and they can't even remember what you look like when you go to pick up your truck. Lack of interest in resolving any issues. They seem to always make a person wait, wait while your talking to the sales person, wait while he goes and sees what "THEY" will do, wait when you come to sign the papers, wait when you come to get your new truck, wait, wait, wait! They NEVER call you back, EVER! It seemed like I was doing all the work while trying to purchase an new vehicle from them. The sales person makes an appointment and then isn't there for the appointment. The "hard sell" is happening as soon as you sit down in the office, I was asked if the "payment" was good with me approx. 6 times even after I told them that I didn't like the price of the truck. The sales people do not listen to anything you say. It's always "we're pretty busy" and "we've been swamped" whenever you talk to them but the dealership is empty! The New Car Sales Manager just blows you off when you complain and pretty much doesn't do anything for you. Again with the distancing from the sales person, "oh he's not on my crew" or "He's new and doesn't know". Very little interest in resolving any problems. When you buy a NEW car it's supposed to be fun and exciting, Sherwood Park Dodge just couldn't care less what the customer experience is. Absolutely the worst dealership I have ever had the misfortune to buy a car from!!!!! I will NOT recommend this dealership and WILL NEVER go there again for anything! Please, if you see this, spread the word, I would hate to have anyone else get mistreated by these guys while trying to make a very major purchase! DON"T BUY ANYTHING FROM SHERWOOD PARK DODGE! More
We came to this dealership immediately after they opened, as a long time friend moved to their new dealership as a salesmen. We have purchased vehicles from them and found their sales people to be very open & as a long time friend moved to their new dealership as a salesmen. We have purchased vehicles from them and found their sales people to be very open & honest with nothing hidden. Since that date (2008) our family has been bringing our dodge/jeep products (Dodge 3500, Dodge 1500, Dakota, Liberty and Grand Cherokee) to this dealership and we have always had friendly reliable service, (Marvin in particular). This team of people put in the extra effort, they understand and cover off on all the details, and stand by their quotes, never have we been handed a last minute surprise. We have had regular maintenance performed, after market goodies installed, warranty/recall work, tire service and oil changes and yes little body work done too. I have competitively shopped and there is a lot of competition in the Edmonton market and have always found them to be positioned in the middle of the pack. Over the past +/- 6 years we have dealt with every department at this dealership and found the level of customer service to be high. The ownership and management of this dealership understand that the customer comes first and they maintain a high level of customer service by hiring excellent service professionals who also understand that their success depends on the customer's satisfaction. This dealership defies the stereotype, they are not greasy or sleazy, in fact they are the type of people you would invite over to your house for a beer and barbecue on the weekend My family does highly recommend them.
