***Buyer beware** I'm writing this so that everyone can be informed and make the right decision. I have 2019 Ram. With only 85,000 km Over the past few years, I have had multiple spots where paint has be informed and make the right decision. I have 2019 Ram. With only 85,000 km Over the past few years, I have had multiple spots where paint has cracked. I was told by a guy at Sherwood Dodge that this was a common problem with the ram trucks. Thankfully, I had a warranty, and it was covered. (Although I did still have to fight with Chrysler). Fast-forward a year. I now have 25 spots on my truck where paint is cracking. Brought it in to Sherwood Dodge and he informed me I am not in warranty and quoted me about 20,000 to fix it, but gave me Chrysler number to see if it would be covered as they have already replaced some. I have received a call back, and they told me my claim was denied. I asked at what point is this no longer a warranty issue but a manufacturer defect. My paint should not be cracking everywhere. She would not give me a direct answer. Told me it could be because of the weather or because I didn't take care of my truck. I told her I have had smart liners and seat cover in from day one of owning the truck. I take very good care of my truck. I asked again. What defines a manufacturer issue as opposed to a customer issue. She said she didn't know. It was the guy at Sherwood Dodge who made that decision. She should have been able to give me some sort of answer. This has been an ongoing problem with this truck, and now that it's out of warranty, they say though luck. I'm writing this so everyone knows how they treat their customers and the quality of their trucks. If I can prevent even one person from getting a crap vehicle, I'll be happy. More
