Where is the service? Went to Sherwood Kia because this is the closest dealer to service my new Kia. I have a small warrantee item and need my first oil change. I also mentioned I was looking for a dealer to service my vehicle over the next 5 years or so and they were the closest dealer. The person at the service desk was Tanya Sherban. I believe this person needs a beginners course in public relations. After I mentioned I was a potential long term customer, I was greeted with a complete lack of enthusiasm on her part which gave me a feeling of "why am I here"... Also, I live only 15 minutes away on an acreage, and asked if they provide courtesy transportation or a shuttle service if, sometime in the future, I needed to leave my vehicle for a longer period. She bluntly told me "no" - they only provide shuttle service to Sherwood Park and Edmonton. So I responded that it was only 15 minutes to my residence, when it could take more time to shuttle someone to Edmonton. Still "no service!" Was the response. I then asked to cancel the appointment and I would get back to her. What I forgot to do was apologize for interrupting her day... (Still looking for a dealer to service my vehicle.) More
Brutal Service Our car was in 8 times since March for a water pump. Different excuse every time. Absolutely Horrible Dealership/Experience. Took our 2015 Kia Sportage to the dealership for an oil change and the transmission was having issues shifting in 2nd and 3rd gear. The car got worse on the drive in and was glad to drop it off since it will be a warranty issue. Appointment booked for 10:00am and they said it should take an hour. At 2:00pm we called for an update and was told it was sitting in que and hasn't been seen yet. At 3:30 we called again and asked for an update to which they said they have it on the diagnostics machine and should be a simple fix. Now stranded at work at 4:00pm, I called again asking for an update - there is no update and they want to keep the car for the next day due to not knowing what the problem was and it was "unsafe" to drive. Ask for a shuttle - there is no shuttle. Ask for a loaner for the night - no they don't do that. Ask my options. You can pick up the car and drive it home and drop it off again in the morning. I Told them you just told me the car is unsafe to drive, didn't you? Response was yes it would be unsafe. So I confirmed calmly; so my options are take an unsafe car up and down the highway or pay a taxi to and from Fort Saskatchewan in hopes it will be fixed tomorrow? The reply was yes. So I asked "and you/Kia are alright with giving me those options?" The reply was "those are the options" For a 2015 Sportage, purchased from the Sherwood Park dealership, with only 20,000kms on it as of today..... VERY, VERY unimpressed and will never buy a Kia again based on this horrible Kia experience. And we were contemplating trading it in on a newer one and different model. This kind of customer service should be illegal. Unreal. More

We knew exactly what we wanted but not necessarily intent on buying that day. We were offered 90 day deferral payment plan which would have put us into the time frame when we had originally planned to purchase. That did become a sticking point in the deal as 90 days was reduced to 60. We feel it was not really a true offer. The dealership should have done something to rectify the issue. We could have walked away from the deal. Do not offer something that you can not uphold. It was not an issue of credit rating. We ended up with quite a few add ones, but in all probability this may be beneficial.as we plan to have this vehicle for a very long time. We don't like spending time on car lots in general. More
Great product and buying experience. Nothing I hate more than pressure sales or dealerships trying to rush you through the process and not explain the details. If you want to avoid that, go see Ken and Kiatt (finance) at Sherwood Kia. Not only did we get by far the best deal there, no one tried to pull a fast on my wife or I for once. Being in the finance industry myself I am more than capable of understanding financing terms and interest rates and determining the full cost of ownership (purchase price plus total interest paid). Had a couple dealerships try to tell me that all that matters is the bi-weekly payment and if we could afford that, which drives me nuts. These folks walk you through everything, they answer all your questions and don't hit you with hidden or unexpected fees. They got our new Sorrento prepped for us a day early just to help with our personal schedules and delivered it showroom ready with everything add/installed right the first time. Plus it only took 2 business days and that was with a hitch and remote start install and all the protective coatings. Do yourself a favour, look at Kia, the value is hard to beat. Do yourself a bigger favour and go to Sherwood Kia when you're ready to make a deal. More

Went in with high expectations....left less than happy. The sales person Ronaye showed me the wrong vehicle and they kept trying to push a used vehicle on me that I repeated multiple times I did not want. The manager was in a pissy mood and took it out on us. All the financing paperwork had to be redone after we discovered the vehicle wasn't all wheel drive when we specifically asked for all wheel drive. The salesperson had to check with her manager on EVERYTHING. I took my car in to get detailed and such and it was only half detailed and then I had to wait another half hour for them to do it properly and they told me they would fill the tank but didn't. The second detail still wasn't done properly as there was dust and such everywhere. It seemed like one thing after another. I returned to Sherwood Kia because I had a decent experience when I bought my first car there, as far as dealerships go. The only reason I purchased a second car here was because they had the car I wanted. The only positive part of this experience wad we had a fantastic finance manager, Kim. While buying a car is never fun, this experience made me hate the process that much more. More
