My Check Engine light came on when I was on my way to work one day. I have noticed Shaw before but was hesitant to pull in there as this is not the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. Due to the fact I thought it was urgent to get my engine light checked out, I had my car serviced there. All of the staff that greet you in the Service Bay were very helpful and friendly. They offered shuttle service both ways (with no KM restrictions like other's I've have dealt with). My car was serviced in a timely manner and I was pleased with the overall experience. A few months go by and I had some other work done at my dealership and they remind me that there is no charge as I have the Extra Warranty. Thinking back at my experience at Shaw, I contacted the Service Manager Paul and told him my story. I was inquiring to see if I could possibly obtain a refund on the work I had completed there as I have the Warranty Protection Plan? Paul was excellent and took the time to look into it for me. I feel that he went above and beyond to help me get my money back and he did! I appreciate not feeling that I was getting ripped off. It's nice to actually have a "car dealership" offer exceptional customer service as this has not always been my experience in the past. I highly recommend Shaw GMC and especially the Service Department. More
After having $8 grand of repairs to my truck and experiencing some frustrations along the way. Stephanie worked with her manager to get the last repair that was missed reduced to paying for parts experiencing some frustrations along the way. We were initially informed it would take until the following week to begin diagnosing our work truck. We are an HVAC mechanical firm requiring our working vehicles for attending to our customers. Our three dozen technicians have a personally selected collection of many tools in their vehicle to perform their trade. For any HVAC technician to move all their tools into a temporary replacement vehicle during a repair or for them to be hampered by working with a small subset of their tool set would be a hardship, they need all their tools to be acceptably productive in most situations. When I contacted Paul MacGowan and explained our situation, Paul repaired the vehicle the very same day and had me called by Lisa Smith when it was ready.
