Additionally, it was a welcomed touch that my vehicle was washed after service and prior to my picking it up. Stephanie went above and beyond the call of duty during several service visits to Shaw. She always kept me informed of what was happening and why and returned calls and messages. I am a Shaw GMC customer. Always have been, always will be. The service experience there is the absolute best in Calgary. I live 15 minutes outside of the city and drive past closer dealerships to get to be. The service experience there is the absolute best in Calgary. Sales reps are friendly and attentive in helping acquire the right vehicle. Have been to many dealers in the province, but there aren't many that come close to comparing what Shaw offers. I wouldn't recommend taking a vehicle anywhere else. Great Job!! More

My wife and I were on a visit from New Hampshire, and our car heater failed just as we were to leave to drive from Calgary to Winnipeg. We showed up at 7 am without an appointment, but we couldn't start our car heater failed just as we were to leave to drive from Calgary to Winnipeg. We showed up at 7 am without an appointment, but we couldn't start our journey in winter without fixing the heater. Paul MacGowan and Stephanie Murray found some way to juggle their already full schedule to handle our problem right away. I have purchased 4 trucks at Shaw GMC and have had extensive dealings with there service department. After extensive repairs to my 2011 truck i figured it might be a good time to jump into a new 2014 extensive dealings with there service department. After extensive repairs to my 2011 truck i figured it might be a good time to jump into a new 2014 SLT. I had some extra parts put on and three days later i was told the truck was ready for pick up. i eagerly went to the dealership to pick it up. Upon closer inspection i noticed tiny rust spots covering the front hood, front quarter panels and roof (Rail Dust) as a result i refused to take possession of the truck until the problem was fixed. I was assured this was no big deal and they would correct the issues and i would have the truck the next day by 3pm . It in fact took them 2 days to fix the truck. Again i went to pick up my truck and upon inspection noticed a large paint chip in drivers door that someone had tried to cover up will a small amount paint. Shaw GMC said this would also be repaired and that they would be in touch the next week to make arrangements and that i should take the truck instead of extending the insurance on my old truck. Happy and not so happy to be driving my new truck, i drove home. After a very cold winters night i awoke to a truck that would not start. It didn t turn over nothing. I was irate to say the least and i called the dealership and was told by a manager Shawn that it should have been plugged in because of the cold. In the last 12 years i have never plugged in my GMC trucks no matter how cold it got and they always started the first time. Most Canadians know that plugging in a truck heats the engine block and does nothing for the battery which turns out was dead on my new 2014 CMC truck with 125km on it. I was instructed then to boast the truck which i managed to do in the bitter cold after a half hour of trying. I immediately drove to the dealership to drop it of. They gave me a loaner in the mean time "big deal" until my truck was ready 3 days later. I am a contractor and rely on my truck to be my office and tool box. This is one of the reasons i have had so many new trucks. There is nothing worse in my business than to say to a client "i can't make it to your reno because my truck won't start". For seven days i was unable to preform my duties as a contractor efficiently and as a result suffered a lose of income. I spent time running back and forth to Shaw GMC onIy to be disappointed time and time again. I called GM to complain about my experience and to look for some kind of compensation but was told the warranty does not cover lost income. I was also told they would look into the matter and call me back. That didn' t happen either. These turn of events have left me very unhappy with my purchase and the way i was treated. Some sort of compensation should have been given…at least a Tim Horton's gift card so i could have a coffee while i wait for the tow truck. More
My Check Engine light came on when I was on my way to work one day. I have noticed Shaw before but was hesitant to pull in there as this is not the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. Due to the fact I thought it was urgent to get my engine light checked out, I had my car serviced there. All of the staff that greet you in the Service Bay were very helpful and friendly. They offered shuttle service both ways (with no KM restrictions like other's I've have dealt with). My car was serviced in a timely manner and I was pleased with the overall experience. A few months go by and I had some other work done at my dealership and they remind me that there is no charge as I have the Extra Warranty. Thinking back at my experience at Shaw, I contacted the Service Manager Paul and told him my story. I was inquiring to see if I could possibly obtain a refund on the work I had completed there as I have the Warranty Protection Plan? Paul was excellent and took the time to look into it for me. I feel that he went above and beyond to help me get my money back and he did! I appreciate not feeling that I was getting ripped off. It's nice to actually have a "car dealership" offer exceptional customer service as this has not always been my experience in the past. I highly recommend Shaw GMC and especially the Service Department. More
