Awesome experience on Saturday On Saturday 10/24/2015 I and my wife had a great day at River City Ford with Darren Lusty, but I pointed out that River City website had a error, as I On Saturday 10/24/2015 I and my wife had a great day at River City Ford with Darren Lusty, but I pointed out that River City website had a error, as I was there to look at Red Focus the stated was a manual transmission and was a auto which I would not have come down to look at if a auto, I do not own a auto in the 4 cars I own and do not like auto, and since I live out of town would have been upset for coming all the way into Winnipeg for a false or bad input. Darren apologized for the dealers error on website and searched the Ford Dealer website for what I wanted and there was none that I liked. The only next best car was the same model, but without the sport package and was the only one available in Canada and was available at River City Ford so I guess it was Karma. Darren offered to go for a test drive and my wife and I accepted to do so, I enjoyed the information about the Focus Darren gave to us on the test drive,Darren answered all my questions and were answered in full detail. Upon arrival back at dealer I informed Darren I had 2 other viewing for cars that day. One at another Ford Dealer and the other Hyundai, and Darren asked what could be done for my wife and I to make a deal and not worry about the other viewings. I started low on the offer that was put forward on the information I had gave to Darren to what I was wanting to pay it was a $4000.00 drop on the price that was offered, Darren was upbeat about going back to the Manager with what I offered, Darren came back with different options to reach the price I wanted. We came to a agreement with Darren and his Manager. Then to Elliott which was very professional on placing the details in place. I am very happy on the conditions of not worrying about a car for 10 yrs on parts and labour and the life time dealer warranty on the power train and interior as I retain my vehicles till they are ready to be recycled. Found exactly what i wanted, for a great price! Having driven fords all my life I knew when it came time to purchase a "new to me" vehicle that a ford was the way I was going. I had contacted my closest ford dealer who barely given me the time of day. They had a brutal selection and took forever to get back to me. That's when I decided to keep looking and once I saw the vehicle I wanted at River City Ford I contacted them right way. The manager was super quick and helpful, got back to me right away and hooked me up with a great sales person. The manager got right to the point and never took him more then half an hour to get back to me on price and options. At the end of the day I was sold over the phone not just by the vehicle but by the customer service I received. The sales person who was Brett, was awesome, answered any questions about the vehicle, and made the experience very painless and easy. When I got there the vehicle was ready to go, gased up and cleaned. Looked at the vehicle, knew even more that was the right vehicle and again I was sold. A few hours later I drove away in my "new to me" 2011 Ford Escape Limited. Best decision I made. I would absolutely recommend going to River City Ford and ask for Brett! He knows his stuff! More
