I am writing to tell you how disappointing and frustrating my experience was at this dealership. I was disappointed with the sales/lease process and with the lack of Covid 19 protocol. I will be frustrating my experience was at this dealership. I was disappointed with the sales/lease process and with the lack of Covid 19 protocol. I will be returning my car at the end of the lease and I will be purchasing my new car at a different dealership. I currently lease a Toyota Rav4 from this dealership. My lease ends on Nov 22, 2020. After being harassed from May 14th until this week by phone, email and mail to come in and discuss purchasing or leasing a new vehicle I finally gave in and went to the dealership. I did some research online and used the Build your Vehicle tool to decide on which car and model I wanted and to get an idea of what the costs would be. During my 3 ½ hours at the dealership I was lied to, given confusing and misleading information and pressured into signing a lease agreement on the spot. I find these tactics distasteful and at the beginning of the process had asked that we not do that dance. Ashraf and Tony did their song and dance show and at the end when I asked to take the agreement home to look it over before I signed it, I was pressured into signing it on the spot. I went home and looked over the paperwork I had been given and couldn’t understand it. After a phone conversation with Ashraf I discovered I had been double charged for an accessory and at that point decided I was going back to the dealership to discuss the entire document. There is a huge discrepancy between the online calculator and the information at the dealership which added to my stress and anxiety. This online tool is useless. At the time when I returned to the dealership I was done with the process and wanted out. I was then subjected to more pressure tactics to complete the deal which ended in my just asking for the return of my deposit and I left. While I was at the dealership there were two or three employees walking around with masks under their chins. This alarmed me as I am 71 years old and I have Leukemia. I mentioned it to Ashraf and he just shrugged as if there was nothing he could do about it. On my second visit an employee of the dealership walked between me and the car on the showroom floor (a distance of 3 or 4 feet away) and was not wearing a mask at all. He was within 2 feet of me!! What happened to distancing? Do you not insist that your employees wear masks?? It is the law. At this point I don’t trust anyone at your dealership. This process should be straightforward … no nonsense. I want to be told the real costs involved, I want it laid out in writing, I want to trust that it is the honest cost and the best price I can get. AND I don’t want to be confronted by employees not wearing masks to protect me from a virus that could kill me. I wear a mask to protect others and expect the same. More
