However this time around, we de This has been a long overdue review. In previous years we have dealt with Ben Izadi for the 09 Impreza and the 15 WRX. However this time around, we decided to get the assistance and have the pleasure of dealing with Rob. My mom was cross shopping for a CUV/SUV/SUW, and narrowed it down to the Rav 4 and the Forester. We test drove the Rav 4 at first, and then went and test drove the 16 Forester at the time. Robert had an excellent point that we should wait for the 2017 to arrive, as it has newer and improved features, which will be worth value for money. We took his advance and have never regretted it since. When it came down to the paperwork, which consisted of trading in my mom's former 14 Corolla, we got a good trade in value, and a reasonable discount. Mind you, at the time, there was no UnHaggle report, but a discount is a discount. The loyalty rate reduction also applied, so that made it nicer. We opted in for the Limited package with the Technology option. Working with Sam was also a positive experience as always. He sat down with us, and explained the paper work and also additional packages which could be purchased at a cost. I.e. rust care, extended warranty, etc. The entire wait for the vehicle to arrive from Japan took roughly around 1.5 months, and Robert gave us a shout telling us that it arrived. We could not however pick it up at the time, and the dealership was totally cool with it. Rob also went out of his way to explain every single feature to my mom and kudos to him for having the patience. My mom really appreciated it, and the after sales experience is top notch. Overall a positive experience, no pressure, no hassle. Definitely recommended. Thanks Rob! Who knows, another Subaru may be purchased down the road from this dealership - I am thinking of a winter beater :P More

Upon agreement to purchase the vehicle, Jeff was in constant contact with me to explain the progress of locating and having my car delivered. I really do appreciate his help in coming in on his day off to help assist with the handover and paperwork signing of my vehicle. I will definitely be returning to to purchase a new vehicle when the time comes, or to recommend him to everyone I know. More

Great... until they got paid We purchased a used Forester and prior to and during the sale they were wonderful. Afterwards they were not and we learned that even though the car is being purchased from a dealership, you should still get your Mechanic to look over it. The car they sold us was completely rusted underneath, the clutch was worn out and the clutch continues to be extremely difficult to get into reverse. We tried on multiple occasions to speak to the manager who never replied back to our emails or phone messages. Absolutely terrible. Our final straw was when we ordered a trailer hitch. They charged us 800 dollars for a 1 inch hitch which is useless AND they forgot the ball. They made us drive back to their dealership to get the part and never apologized. I have had great experiences with Scarborough Subaru but will never go back to Richmond Hill Subaru. More

From the first moment we met Mike was there for us, in person, by phone, email and text. Attentive, understanding, honest, businesslike and personable...that is how we would describe Mike. Buying a car is something my wife and I do out of necessity and is not something we consider "fun" mainly because we are spending a lot of our hard earned money for a product that will decrease in value over time. And so the value is really in the buying experience and in how well the car performs while it lasts. The buying experience was very positive as Mike was able to address all our questions and concerns with patience, a good sense of humour, and a really good depth of knowledge on the Subaru brand. The car itself, the brand, was the reason we chose Subaru. Lots of positive "out there"in our research, not so much negative. We happen to be older. Mike is a young man. He is one of those people who has the energetic personality that is adaptable to whoever he serves. We would recommend that you take the time to meet him if you happen to be shopping for a Subaru. In meeting Sam Chegini, the Financial Services Manager, it became obvious to us that this dealership was serious about providing not only quality products, but quality service as well.
