Te I tend to over-research a lot of purchases - cars included. So, in my search for a new vehicle, I actually went to 6 different Honda dealerships. Test drove at 3 of them and got pricing at 4. Olympic Honda was the sneakiest dealership I went to. Firstly, they will tell you that the $399 anti-theft program (basically your VIN gets etched into the car so if someone pulls the stickers off it's still there) is mandatory because it's done before the cars arrive on the lot. THIS IS A LIE. I was also told that there would be an insurance benefit. I called my insurance company. THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS AND WOULD NOT PROVIDE A DISCOUNT! VIN etching is a package that some dealerships (obviously this one, but no others int he ti-city area) bought into and are now stuck trying to pass off the cost to the customer. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS!! Locking wheel nuts - sure, if you live in an area with high crime, wheel theft might be an issue - or if you've splurged for $2000 fancy rims. However, stock rims aren't really something thieves seem to be after. I was told that this price can't be waived because the locks get put on as soon as the car hits the lot. My response was well, if you put them on here, you can take them off here and not charge me for it. My other issue with this dealership is the "I have to clear this with my manager", and the back and forth that ensues when negotiating. Empower your employees to make a decision! Also, don't force me to hand my credit card over while the employee goes and talks to the manager. I was reticent to do this, but I did, and the employee came back - WITHOUT MY CREDIT CARD!!! I refused to continue any conversations until he went and got it (which he did). The employee I worked with was actually really good - very knowledgable about the vehicle and its abilities, provided timely responses to my emails, and went out of his way to accommodate me in terms of test driving the car. The issue doesn't lie with him, it lies with the practices and procedures of the dealership, which, I assume are delivered top down from the owner/manager. Ended up buying my car from Waterloo Honda - was a much better experience. More

purchase of a new Honda Civic Jesse Durkin walked up to us when we first came into the dealership , introduced himself and offered his help for us to purchase . He answered all Jesse Durkin walked up to us when we first came into the dealership , introduced himself and offered his help for us to purchase . He answered all our questions and we both felt comfortable with his suggestions. We got all information we needed and we left to check other dealerships in the area. From the time we left we both agreed that Jesse would be selling us the Honda. It was very refreshing to have a person review the whole process of the purchase with total transparency. We feel that a lot of sales people we met and observed ( at a few dealerships )could learn a great deal by Mr Durkin's approach to customer service.People buy from people they trust. More
bad experience overall. The people are nice, but the service is over priced, and I have a feeling they are doing the "once around" to see if they can pick off a few extras. Someone showed me an price on a 2016 Odyssey with anti theft system and wheel locks and we negotiated price then sign the deal. The day I picked up the car without anti theft system and wheel locks. When I was trying to talk about it , they changed their attitude right away and told me they can only give me that price without those stuff. The worst was when the sales on the way to his managers office, he talked the "Fxxx" word at my back. This is totally not acceptable. Honda makes good cars , but go some other dealer to get it. No trust in this dealer at all. More

Definitely look at other dealerships Though she was nice enough, I was really not pleased with the pushiness of the salesperson that I worked with. I had heard horror stories of this deal Though she was nice enough, I was really not pleased with the pushiness of the salesperson that I worked with. I had heard horror stories of this dealership's reputation but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Though I was very interested in buying a Honda, I might consider nearby dealerships before looking at this one. More
Get back to the days of serving the community I went in the other day looking for a demo to save some extra money and wanted to bring down my payment by having anti theft removed as it is a useles I went in the other day looking for a demo to save some extra money and wanted to bring down my payment by having anti theft removed as it is a useless product and when I told them that no other Honda had the $399 etch as a requirement they said the owner requires it be on the deal or to take my business elsewhere. I'm willing to spend 40k and you can't take off that stupid fee which police have told me they have never heard of (obvious lie from the owner as they claim to working with local police to track down stolen car with the etching), not only this but I find out they do not even etch the car properly it is just a sticker. Nothing but a 400 cash grab. My wife and I went to TEAM Honda the next night and not only were treated proper but we also got a better deal and also didn't have to pay that stupid etch charge. If anyone is looking for a Honda I would recommend TEAM Honda instead of these crooks. And as the last few reviews stated the service department here is pathetic. Although inconvenient since we are from Fergus I have no problems driving the extra distance and time to get my car serviced at either TEAM or even Waterloo Honda! The sales rep was good and I can't blame him however the rest of the dealership needs to start showing some pride because what was once a decent Guelph community dealership has become a dump and I hope they can restore their old values from years and years ago. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER Took my car to the Olympic Honda dealership here in Guelph (where I originally had purchased it back in 2004 from the same dealership), to get it serv Took my car to the Olympic Honda dealership here in Guelph (where I originally had purchased it back in 2004 from the same dealership), to get it serviced as the car-lock on the driver's door was not working. Paid for the service, labour and parts to get it fixed. After two days, the problem wasn't fixed and got worse. I took it back and was told that it may need another part and that I would have to wait 2 weeks to get it. Once the part arrived, I asked them to waive the fee since it wasn't my fault but management said no and wanted me to pay for the service, labour and part all over again. I checked with the service manager, Debbie Dumbar, to at least waive the labour fees and she rudely declined and told me that I had to pay everything all over again. I ended up paying for the part only and declining the service and labour to be done as I would just go and get it done elsewhere for a lot cheaper. The whole thing would have costed me $600 which is an outrageous amount for a lock. This kind of service is a disgrace to even be allowed at a Honda dealership, or for any place of service at all. I am extremely disappointed with the management, service and lack of customer satisfaction. Not only is this very unprofessional for management to treat a customer this way, but also shows a lack of competency for the technicians themselves to cause so many mixups. I would never recommend this Olympic Honda dealership to another person because the management will NOT help satisfy their customers whatsoever. More
