During the test drive I noted a crack on the windshield in the driver's line of sight. This crack grew as the test drive proceeded likely due to the excessive heat and the AC on full blast. I asked if Kia could replace the windshield and although the service was agreed upon the cost ($500) was added to the bill of sale. After paying the $500 deposit, I went home and thought about the risk of purchasing a vehicle that was in less than optimum condition for $39,000 plus GST. My first concern was the cracked windshield. If the car had such an obvious and visible cosmetic defect what other flaws would be later uncovered? Moreover, the vehicle had been in a previous accident that was not claimed by the previous owners insurance. In addition, the car was purchased at an auction in another province. The cracked windshield meant that the car would automatically fail the interprovincial pre-registration inspection. I also noted some paint damage throughout and the tires had been replaced. Was there further damage due to transport from Manitoba to Alberta? Finally, the car had been on the lot for a significant amount of time. After reviewing the Carfax and upon further reflection I concluded that there were just too many red flags. I called and spoke with the manager less than 24 hours after placing my deposit explaining that my private family and friends loan had fallen through due to a family emergency. I wanted to ensure that they could place the vehicle back on the lot so that they did not loose any prospective sales opportunities. Despite my prompt notification, prudent rationale to back out of the sale and the emergent financial situation, Northland Kia refused to fully or partially refund my $500 deposit. It is a shame that they were not willing to help me out. I cannot in good conscience recommend them to prospective used car buyers. If you shop there, make sure you know your stuff because the way that this was handled makes me believe that they are only interested in profits at the expense of customer service. What if I bought the vehicle as is? I would have been out of pocket for the inter-provincial inspection (which it would have failed), replacing the windshield (a car in such condition should not even be on the road let alone on a lot for safety reasons). A refund of my deposit or even a partial refund would have really helped me out and yet they appeared to be unmoved by my situation. The manager went so far as to claim that they were out of pocket for the replacement of the windshield! I really hope that the customer that does end up purchasing that vehicle does their homework. More

I was travelling from Abbotsford BC to Medicine Hat Alberta when my 2013 kia optima broke down.. Had my car towed to Northlands Kia calgary.. was greeted by the assistant service manager Dan Weber and Alberta when my 2013 kia optima broke down.. Had my car towed to Northlands Kia calgary.. was greeted by the assistant service manager Dan Weber and he took care of all my needs right away also met the service manager great people.. I had to get the Knock C02 sensor changed was back on the road that afternoon and all went well.. can't say enough about the service at northlands Kia and the staff.. Thank you Dan and staff.. I highly recommend Northlands Kia service for all your vehicle maintance.. More

The worst car buying experience ever! We bought a brand new Kia Carnival, and the dealer smashed it up! They attempted to sell a damaged car to us for the same price, and it was a pain to get our deposit b new Kia Carnival, and the dealer smashed it up! I had my 2015 Kia Sportage towed in to Northland Kia after my engine light came the good news was it was covered under warranty. At the same time I had my battery changed. Derek Mazil was very thoroug after my engine light came the good news was it was covered under warranty. At the same time I had my battery changed. Derek Mazil was very thorough in advising me of the problem, let me know when my vehicle was ready to p/u. I picked up my vehicle on Friday and seemed to have a problem with the heat air flow inside the vehicle, I went back to Kia after work where Derek Mazil as well as Erik a service technician who listened to my concerns, checked my Cabin Air Filter which was so dirty looked like the original cabin air filter. I had purchased this vehicle from Go Kia South in Edmonton 2 months previously and that should have been changed. Derek and Erik were very quick to resolve the problem for me and I would like to let everyone know that my experience at Northland Kia was great. These two gentleman took the time to listen to me and be able to resolve the problem quickly. More

People make a business and these people are the type that make your car buying experience the absolute best. The car business is one of the toughest to meet all different attitudes and expectations. These people met all of mine. It is without hesitation that I would recommend you go see these folks if you’re looking for a vehicle. Oh and PS, I bought a Stinger GT Limited and what a dream car. Way to go Kia. More

Not only weren't they competent enough to diagnose my car, they also boosted it wrong putting red on black and black on red. Sparks everywhere and still dealing with the same issue. Tried to use them twice and both times no one ever showed up after waiting 5hrs plus in a major city! Avoid at all cost! They also lied to me about what features my car had before I bought it. I specifically asked for a car with automatic cruise control and was told my 2018 Kia sportage had it and so it said in the brochure. It doesn't. It has the radar and emergency braking so all the equipement is there just not that feature for no reason at all. All competitors had it and would have chosen one of those if I knew how bad this dealership really is. More
