I trade in my car at Hyundai Newmarket, and the dealer, Katie, was all talk and talk, she showed me a car, kept talking so I cannot even think what I am there for, ok, liked the car she showed me, put $500 Katie, was all talk and talk, she showed me a car, kept talking so I cannot even think what I am there for, ok, liked the car she showed me, put $500 down for retaining, then let's see the value of the car I trade, went down from $12,000 to $5,000 because "needed a new painting", I said "No", Katie said I will lose the $500, anyway I wasn't in the mood to negotiate too much (I was very ill), signed the papers. Went to pick up the new car, Katie was all rush because was " a very busy day", take the keys, this is the car, bye. After a few days when I went to drive the car (I wasn't driving much as I was very ill) I noticed the interior of the car I got wasn't at all like the one I've seen, the paint wasn't ok... I got the worst car in their parking lot;, called the dealership, but Katie wasn't available, called and called until the receptionist yelled at me to stop calling as Katie has retired and is nothing else to be done, that is the standard radio in the car, no cd player. I had to drive in with a male friend to have the paint buffer, when I went alone the dudes there just laughed in my face and said is just fine as it is... Called Hyundai Canada and had the exact same treatment, laugh in my face, even told by a dude "women should not even drive, let alone buy cars". So no to Hyundai in Canada, worst customer service once they got your money. And yesterday I found out that I was sold at full price a demo car, with 435km already. Shame on them. My Lawyer said is time to stop the talk and sue Hyundai Canada for not being able to find a resolution to my issue, I wasn't allowed to talk with a Manager at the Hyundai Canada Head Office. And I was poorly treated by the receptionists. Yes, I do have the recordings as in Canada is legal to record a conversation if you are part of it. More
Just purchased a 2023 Kona. My sales person was Patrick Johnson and he was great. Do not let them talk you into signing a blank Loan Application “because they can’ t write in your info by hand”. Yes I was naive . I signed. Salesman returned happy to announce I had been approved.. It wasn’t until 8 months after purchase and much pushing with OMVIC that I secured a copy. They doubled my income and didn’t report the amount of rent. No one will help you with this. I went to loan company- not their problem. ONVIC no their problem . All I want is a record someplace showing I didn’t give false information on the application. Lie on a loan application as an individual? You get up to 2 years in prison. Lie as a Car Dealership? Just let it go. Double standard in the law. The Big Guy always wins. More
I have now purchased two vehicles from Newmarket Hyundai and I am extremely happy with both the sales and service personnel. My salesperson from my first purchase retired a couple of years ago. I asked Sean and I am extremely happy with both the sales and service personnel. My salesperson from my first purchase retired a couple of years ago. I asked Sean Fazackerley in the service department to recommend a salesperson for my second purchase. He gave me a couple of names and I chose Mark. I am SO glad that I chose Mark. He was extremely friendly and forthright. I have dealt with the service department at Newmarket Hyundai many times and Sean Fazackerley in that department is my favourite person at the dealership!! More
