Worst customer service I have ever received anywhere We took or vehicle to Newmarket Hyundai for an oil change and due to the careless workmanship of the mechanic, our car was leaking oil for 5 days whi We took or vehicle to Newmarket Hyundai for an oil change and due to the careless workmanship of the mechanic, our car was leaking oil for 5 days which ruined our brand new garage floor as well as leaked on every parking lot we used. Poor Customer Service My boyfriend and I went in to Hyundai to look at used cars. We ended up putting a deposit down on a 2009 Sante Fe. We were told that the car may be r My boyfriend and I went in to Hyundai to look at used cars. We ended up putting a deposit down on a 2009 Sante Fe. We were told that the car may be ready on Saturday but if not it would be ready to go on Monday. My boyfriend ended up calling on Saturday and left a message that was never returned. He finally got a hold of the Saleswoman and she told him that the car won't be ready until Monday at 3pm. He wasn't able to pick it up then so Hyundai confirmed that he can pick it up at 10 am on Tuesday. The Saleswoman was going to call him back to let him know if she could get the car ready for Monday morning instead, he never received a response. Tuesday morning we go to pick up the car, I took time off work to bring him down to the dealership. It is 10 am and we walk into the dealership and we are asked if we want water or coffee and then told there is a slight problem, the receptionist was not in and they didn't go to Service Ontario to get it registered. Ummmm how was this ready to go Monday??? We were told to come back at 2 pm, once again he had to work so it had to wait until Wednesday. Went back to pick up the car this morning. I told the salesman about our experience and how discouraging it was. The response was that he would bring it to the Manager. It put a bad taste in our mouth, I wouldn't recommend any family or friends to go to Hyundai Newmarket. With having to go through all of this, the Salesman noticed that the gas was low in the vehicle. He went to the street to put some gas in the car, came back with half a tank. Really??? More
Brand new scratched car Purchased a brand new vehicle. Ended up being the show room model which was scratched and was not noticed until I saw them when I picked up the car. V Purchased a brand new vehicle. Ended up being the show room model which was scratched and was not noticed until I saw them when I picked up the car. Very disappointed with the initial service, all they did was buff out the scratches after showing them the scratches were below the clear coat. Finally the car got the proper paint touch ups and It was fixed properly. So much for doing the job right the first time. Very poor car buying experience. More
Declining Quality I have been going to Newmarket Hyundai for four years now. If you had asked me to rate this dealership within my first two years of patronage, I would I have been going to Newmarket Hyundai for four years now. If you had asked me to rate this dealership within my first two years of patronage, I would have given a five-star rating. The service staff was friendly and the work to my vehicle was performed quickly and competently. This is not the case anymore. For the last year and a half, service has been glacial. I've often waited 4-5 hours for simple servicing such as oil and filter changes with tire rotation. This is compounded by the fact that for every visit, a major component of my vehicle "requires" repair/replacement, turning a $200 visit into a $700 visit. Often time, it is a component that was attended to within the year or less. Either the technicians are scamming me or their work is terrible since they need to repair a part that was repaired by them within such a short time. If you think you can circumvent these wait times by utilizing a shuttle or a loaner vehicle, forget it. They've never had loaner vehicles when I needed one and when I resided in Bradford (a fifteen minute drive), I was told I couldn't utilize shuttle services (Newmarket only). A four hour wait versus a 15 minute drive seems like a pretty simple choice. I guess not. All of this "quality" service is great, assuming you can even book an appointment over the phone. Hold times are often 5 minutes or longer, simply to schedule an appointment, and being told to call back in 10 minutes, after holding for five, is infuriating. What once was great place to service your vehicle is now a shell of its former quality, and your mounted television and foot massagers in your waiting lounge can't mask this sobering truth. More
