I found the sales experience to be very relaxed and did not feel pressured to buy. In addition, we negiotiated the price via email and when concerns were identified after the test drive and BCAA inspectio not feel pressured to buy. In contrast, the final sales transaction was high pressured as the fiance person was pushing the extended warranty and seemed to personalize my decision to not go for the $3000 extended warranty because I felt that it benefits the dealer more then the customer. If I had not had this experience my ratings would have been Great instead of good. More
Ive owned 3 Hyundai's in 10 years and love my cars. It's refreshing to go to a dealership that knows the meaning of customer service. In the past, my dealings with the 'other' Hyundai dealerships were It's refreshing to go to a dealership that knows the meaning of customer service. In the past, my dealings with the 'other' Hyundai dealerships were mediocre at best. I thought I'd give White Rock a try and I'm glad I did. The dealership is owned by Murray, who is a big name and have a lot of other locations in Canada. The service reps Theo and Kevin are not only genuinely nice people, they really do know their cars! Did I say 'refreshing'? They have a service shuttle that takes us to the pier where my wife and I enjoy lunch while my car is taken care of. The car is always fixed right and cleaned before I go home. Hands down, the best Hyundai service department I've dealt with. Now I drive right by the 'other' dealerships on my way to White Rock! More

I already knew the Service folk were friendly now I know the Sales people are as well. I have always felt confident with the work that was done and I will continue to use Murray Hyundai for all future service requirements. Great place ,great people. More

We were looking at buying a new Elantra but discovered after the test drive that it didn't quite suit our needs. We ended up purchasing a 2008 Toyota Hybrid from Murray Hyundai-White Rock and were amazed after the test drive that it didn't quite suit our needs. We ended up purchasing a 2008 Toyota Hybrid from Murray Hyundai-White Rock and were amazed at the wonderful experience we had. The service was friendly and professional, and we were pleasantly surprised by the very helpful teamwork approach that the staff takes. What surprised us most was that we received the royal treatment in spite of the fact that we did not buy a Hyundai product. (In fact, the Hybrid had only been taken in on a trade an hour before we arrived!) We returned twice to make more inquiries to help us in our decision making and on the both occasions when the original staff member taking care of us was not available because we didn’t phone ahead, another staff member immediately pitched in and carried on without missing a beat. They were very straightforward as we negotiated the final price. We would highly recommend potential buyers to seriously consider including Murray Hyundai in their car research, even if you’re not necessarily looking for a Hyundai product. With several dealerships across the country, they are well connected in the industry and will bend over backwards to make you satisfied. More
By far my biggest complaint was the waiting. Even with appointment times, something always came up and either finance or the sale associate wasn't ready to see me/us - one time the sales rep was headed ou appointment times, something always came up and either finance or the sale associate wasn't ready to see me/us - one time the sales rep was headed out the door on a test drive with another customer despite us having arranged to meet for 5 pm. I found them somewhat disorganized in that I was cross-referred to other agents or contacts in finance, then when we were to meet, the one I was to meet wasn't there and vice versa. That wasn't the end of the world, but it got confusing and lead to "wires being crossed" - where again we/I waited. Although we had agreed on one price there was the "surprise" financing fee when all was said and done - which was, after all the hassles, icing on the cake of disapointment. Another time I found them quite misleading was when they called to say that the car I was looking to buy had been located - then when I arrived it was in another province. To relocate the vehicle would be an undefined price that I could share with the dealership, or I could pre-order a 2013. I had previously declined pre-ordering and felt unheard and right back at square one - and too that I'd been lured back under false pretences because how could the cost of relocating be unknown, and they were so quick to highlight the benefits of pre-odering.... the sales manager actually followed the sales associate into the parking lot as I left (I was actually in the car and reversing by the time they caught up with me) - to confirm that the 2013 could be pre-ordered and that they could try and arrange an attractive deal/offer.... to say the least, the sales process was exasperating and I went through a broker to avoid the dealer-level shenanigans. Do so again led to more shennanigans and confusion.... but if past performance was any indicator of future performance, I should have anticipated this - but I was happy with the price the broker was able to secure, so the sale proceeded. We were in the market for a new Sonata and decided to try the White Rock Hyundai, as we had dealt previously with another dealership which had not particularly impressed us. From the moment Gene Levin greeted us we felt entirely welcome at Murray Hyundai White Rock. We had come just for a test drive but ended up buying a brand new car that same day. Gene is very personable, conscientious and professional in every way. He did not use high pressure tactics and greatly exceeded our expectations. What particularly impressed us was how much time he took to explain everything that a new owner ought to know about the vehicle before driving away. In our opinion, White Rock Hyundai and Gene Levin are truly a class act. More
