The guys were great to deal with. No pressure , very willing to understand my needs and work within the dealer mgmnt team to secure a very good deal for us all. Terrible experience with Markville Toyota My fiance and I wanted to buy my mother in law to be a car as a retirement gift. On Jan. 28th, the 3 of us went to Markville Toyota. We were introduce My fiance and I wanted to buy my mother in law to be a car as a retirement gift. On Jan. 28th, the 3 of us went to Markville Toyota. We were introduced to a salesman named Siran Liu. We sat down with him and told him what my future mother in law wanted and discussed the different payment options. He gave us a price on the car. I showed him what another Toyota dealer was offering and was wondering if he could match their price and promotions. Siran started getting aggitated at this point. His tone of voice and body language completely changed. He recalculated a new price for us but this was still a lot higher than what the other Toyota dealer was offering. He asked us what price we would like and I wrote it out on paper for him. He told me that this price was not feasible because the company would not be making any money and that he would not even bother asking his manager because he knows that his manager would not approve of this. He kept asking me and my fiance "what is the problem" and we asked him multiple times if he could speak to his manager. He finally said he would speak with his manager and asked my fiance for his credit card and said if his manager was to reject our price he would automatically put through the purchase at the price he was offering. I told him no, he needs to come back and discuss with us first if his manager declines. He stormed out of the room and came back insulting us telling us that we "can't afford the car." Siran or his manager also wrote "you can't afford it" on paper for us. At this point, I was starting to get very scared because he kept raising his voice at us constantly repeating that we couldn't afford the car and that no one would do business with someone if they weren't going to make a profit. I told him that we were going to pass on the car and as the 3 of us got up from our seats he stopped us arubtly and said he needs to let his manager know that were leaving. He picked up his phone and told his manager in a very loud and angry tone that we were leaving because we couldn't afford the car. After he hung up he said to us in cantonese "word of advice guys, if you were my friends I would've yelled at you long ago" Siran is the one of the worst sales I've ever dealt with. I've never felt so disrespected by a salesman before. If he had never insulted and yelled at us we would've most likely purchased our car from him that day regardless of the price we were asking for. After we left Markville Toyota, we drove to Richmond Hill Toyota. We told the salesman about the horrible experience that we had just encountered at Markville Toyota. He was professional, informative and straight forward with our wishes. Most importantly, he did not insult or yell at us. We ended up purchasing our car that same day from him. My fiance picked up the car for my future mother in law on Jan 31st and she is very happy with the car. Thank's to Richmond Hill Toyota for turning our negative car shopping experience into a positive one. :) Note: the manager at Markville Toyota called my future mother in law on Monday Jan 30th to ask her why we didn't end up purchasing the car from them that day. She told him the full story and he apologized to her for our negative experience with Siran. Apparently, he wasn't the manager on the floor that day. I appreciate his apology but I don't think we will ever return to Markville Toyota again. More

Markville Toyota a Fraud: Stay FAR Away. Markville Toyota a Fraud: If you value your time, ethics and morals, stay far away from this fraudulent dealership. Back story: I called Markvill Markville Toyota a Fraud: If you value your time, ethics and morals, stay far away from this fraudulent dealership. Back story: I called Markville Toyota to get general info about a used 2016 Rav4 and spoke with Coco Li (sales rep). A few weeks later, Coco called me to say that if I was still in the market, Markville Toyota was having a local “1 day only sale” on Saturday December 10, 2016. I told Coco that I was up to speed on the promotions and that there were no promotions offered on the 2017 Rav4 by Toyota. Coco told me it was a local dealership event only and only for that 1 day. I told Coco that I had already negotiated a good price with Toyota on the Park that I was happy with. She asked me what that price was and after I told her, she said she would beat it by $500 but only at the “1 day only sale”. I booked an appointment to see Coco at 11:00am on Saturday December 10th, expecting to buy a car. Saturday December 10, 2016: When I arrived, Coco said she would get the keys for our test drive. I informed Coco that I had already driven the car and just wanted to finalize the deal as discussed (i.e. $500 less than the price quoted by Toyota on the Park). She said first we had to go for a test drive. When we got back and I asked Coco to get the paper work, Coco said first she had to get her manager to accept “my offer” and she required my credit card to do this. I reminded Coco that it wasn’t my offer, but her offer to beat the deal I already had by $500, and that once I saw an invoice at the agreed on price, I would give her a credit card for a deposit. She again said she needed her manager’s sign off, but needed my credit card to present “the offer”. I explained to Coco that asking for a credit card to present an offer that she already agreed to is at best fraud and might even be illegal and that if she asked for my credit card one more time without presenting an invoice at the promised price, I’d be calling OMVIC. Coco began to explain that this was the “Markville Toyota way” and that she could not get approval without my credit card. Frustrated and generally disgusted with Coco, I walked right into the new car sales manager’s office (Jeffrey Yu) despite Coco trying to stop me. When I explained to Jeffrey the sales tactics Coco was using, his exact words where “of course, how else do we know you’re serious about buying a car if you won’t give us your credit card?” It was now clear that this shady approach was a systemic issue and there was no high road to be taken here. I explained to Jeffrey that I would be calling OMVIC on Monday. Jeffrey then asked what price Coco had promised me. When I told him, he “ran some numbers” and said it was below cost and they couldn’t sell the car for that price. I walked out and bought the car from Toyota on the park (Rui was awesome, upfront, and best of all, no credit card until the invoice). I will be calling OMVIC on Monday. Antonio from Vaughan. More
Unethical dealership The experience is basically stated in the Goggle review. During that date, the price of the RAV4 AWD LE, after deducting the trade-in, is revealed to me after I provide the ownership of the trade-in car, car key and credit card. I am not happy with the price, so I told Gary that I want to go home and think about it. He keeps pushing me to accept, without returning my correspondence. I kept saying I want to leave, he just doesn't let me go, by not returning my personal belongings. At the end, I got zero discount from the MSRP, and the resale value of my trade-in is 70% quoted from another Subaru dealer. I have got the same experience during auto financing. The guy kept asking me to buy extended warranty, rust proof, etc. I kept saying I don't want it, many times. He just doesn't proceed with the process, and keep pushing me to buy something. At the end, I bought the rust proof, at a price 3x times quoted from auto shop. This is my third time I buy Toyota, from different dealers. The first 2 times there were no issues, so thinking I can trust any Toyota dealer. I really want to see if anything can be done in my case, without going further outside the dealer. More
