VERY VERY POOR SERVICE I took my 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat in for it's regular servicing to Kentwood Ford on Friday June 28th as I have many times before. There was also a rec I took my 2018 Ford F-150 Lariat in for it's regular servicing to Kentwood Ford on Friday June 28th as I have many times before. There was also a recall notice to get done. I had also asked them to check a few other minor things. When I took my truck in, it was in pristine condition, there were no nicks, rubs, scratches, or dents and I have the pictures to prove it. I got a call on Tuesday advising me that the main servicing had been done and that they were going to address the other factors with a road test. I heard nothing Wednesday. Although the dealership tried to call me Thursday, I was unable to take the call and called back Friday after listening to a voicemail that said 'We need to talk about your truck". When I called back, I spoke to my service advisor Kelcey who advised me that during the evening of Wednesday June 3rd, someone broke onto their lot and stole the tires off of my vehicle. She said the thieves put my vehicle up on blocks and that there was no damage. I remained calm as she explained that the police had already been there and reviewed the video and that the case is being investigated. I asked how it gets handled and her response was 'We're looking into what we can do for you". My response was plain, calm and to the point when I said "there's no seeing what you can do for me. To me, it's simple, my truck was with Kentwood Ford and I expect it back in the same condition I gave it." Again, she said we're seeing what we can do for you. We continued talking and she said she would having a conversation with Kelly and Sean about my expectations. She also informed me about locking lug nuts, I had never heard of them before. Later that day, I went to the dealership to speak with the service team and spoke with Advisor Kelcey, Supervisor Kelly and eventually Sean, the fixed operations manager. They immediately wanted me to go through my insurance as they claimed they had no responsibility for the damages or theft, I disputed this adamantly as my truck was on their lot and under there care and control. They advised me that they have ZERO INSURANCE TO COVER CUSTOMER UNITS. But also said they're a business so they will do service but if something happens, that's on the customer. I told him that I would be going to the Media and Social Media and all other avenues to express my dis-satisfaction and his reply was 'well them I'm not going to do anything for you and you can take your truck home with no tires". It was also during this time that they informed me that the police had not been called and in fact no report had been made at all!! I decided to see just how conniving they were being so had a conversation about the possibility of putting on different rims at an extra expense that I was willing to pay. (or tolk to my insurance about). At the prospect of making more money, the tone of the conversation changed. They advised and tried to convince me that making a comprehensive claim wouldn't affect my insurance rating and would pay for the cost of the upgraded rims. Insurance scam maybe?? They really tried to rush me into a decision. So I contacted my insurance to find out about a claim As I work for a large company that offers insurance I was able to speak frankly and was advised this type of comprehensive would likely cause a change in both rating and rates. They offered to open a case and start an investigation and none of that would cost anything. They advised that this sounds like the dealership is trying to keep everything in house and push responsibility to the vehicle owner or trying to keep it all in house to avoid bad publicity. My insurance advisor advised to push a little harder to get the the service owed as they see these kind of things all the time. I went back in and advised I would not be going through insurance and that they should return the vehicle back to me in it's original condition. We talked a bit more and came to the agreement that they would in fact take tires off of a new truck off of the lot as they are often doing custom builds and lifts so it would be easy to take the wheels off of one of those and put them on mine. They agreed to do an inspection of the under carriage and rotors for any damages caused by the truck being put on the axles on the back and rotors on the front. I then went to inspect the vehicle with service supervisor Kelly. Very quickly, I found that there was a very visible dent in the left rear flare as well as some related body damage. The front end of the truck had been dropped on it rotors on concrete blocks and the back on it's axle. There didn't appear to be any tampering to try and get in to the vehicle. My truck was parked by itself in a corner right next to the fence. The thieves cut through the fence and were barely 10 feet on the lot to steal the tires, The truck was parked at the very edge of view from a video camera. Once back at the service department Kelly had Kelcey pull up the pictures they took of the truck on check in to the dealership to see if the dent on the rear flare was there before. I know it wasn't because I took pictures of the vehicle prior to taking it in. He tried every tactic to prove it was there pointing at glare and saying that was the dent. Kelly went into the back and talked to Sean and after about 15 minutes I asked Kelsey what was going on, she went to the back and talked with the two of them and came back to advise they would be replacing the rims & tires from a new F-150 that was on the lot, they would replace the flare and take care of the body damage. She also stated they would put a locking lug nut on each of the tires so this wouldn't happen again. I also spoke with Sean once again about possibility upgrading the rims at an extra cost to me, not my insurance, of $500, he said that he would speak with the parts manager on Monday and follow-up. I wasn't hopeful as the upgrade would have been well more than $500, but I figured, maybe as good will? With that understanding, I left the dealership expecting to have my truck back Monday. On Monday, I heard nothing from the dealership so I called them and found that Sean would not be in until 12PM and then missed his return on Tuesday. On Wednesday Morning, July 10th, I decided to call the police to find out more details of the event. I spoke with an officer who was able to confirm a report was made on TUESDAY JULY 9th at 2:08PM, and that the police had been dispatched to the event approximately 10 minutes before my call to the them. This means, Kentwood did not call the police until almost a FULL WEEK after the incident. Moving forward, I now knew they were dealiing dishonestly and expected more dishonesty from them going forward. Kentwood had already proved they were not trustworthy a few times when a) they said they had called the police and didn't and b) saying there was no damage to my vehicle when there clearly was, c) tried to get me to scam my insurance for an upgrade and more d) dealt in bad faith. I called and spoke with Sean again and he advised me the truck would be ready by about 12:00PM. He said they would fix the flare and the body damage and put on the new tires that anything else discovered would be my responsibility and again, I would have to go through my insurance. I got a call from Kelsey in the early afternoon and she advised me the truck was ready for pick-up and that they had rushed the work. She advised they replaced the flare and fixed the body damage and that new tires were put on. She also advised that they had put locking nuts on the truck, I was for the first time in a week thinking this might work out. I said I would like to come and pick it up but wouldn't be there until about 6-6:30PM. She advised that the truck keys would be left at the sales reception desk with the paperwork. I asked for a copy of the police report, a copy of the video be sent to my email address and paperwork showing an inspection on the undercarriage had been completed. She advised that 'the shop forman took a look' and nothing was found. I requested an inspection as agreed to with Sean and Kelly earlier the previous week, Kelcey advised she would get it done. I got to Kentwood Ford and say my truck parked outside the service bay on the lot beside the street. I pulled out my phone to make a recording of how it looked before even getting in. There were now nicks, scratches and rubs EVERYWHERE. They are easily visible in the video I took and were not there when I took the truck in. My spouse was with me and couldn't believe the amount of extra damage that had been done. The their credit, there were new tires and rims on the truck and the flare had been replaced. The original body damage hadn't been touched, they did nothing. And of course, the promised locking lugs were also not on the truck. I went in to the sales centre and was supplied paperwork to sign, I declined to sign it as the truck was definitely NOT in the same condition as I left it. I gave the receptionist the list of things that were wrong, incomplete and advised of the general exterior condition. I knew that there was nothing she could do so had no issue with her performance at all. The next morning Sean called me again and advised he had seen the notes from the previous afternoon when I picked up the truck.. He immediately went into saying I have to go through my insurance and that the dealership was not going to do anything more. I advised I will be speaking with GoAuto, Ford, the media and social media and sharing the experience with everyone I can. His response? "Ok", someone who CLEARLY knows NOTHING about customer service. All I wanted was my truck back in the same condition in which I gave it to them. I guess that's to much to ask of the Kentwood Ford service team. I have been dealing with Kentwood Ford for YEARS and GoAuto for even longer I have purchased 3 trucks there. ALL of my service and parts orders have gone there. I have defended them against my own friends who have had bad experiences with the service team there as well. That all stops now. This one experience, has completely turned me off of Kentwood Ford and I will be an active force in advising everyone I know, family, friends, business contacts and the several thousands of people that read my blog others about this experience. The blatant lack of customer service, lack of honesty and refusal to take responsibility for things CLEARLY under their control need to be brought forward to help prevent anyone else from experiencing this kind of treatment. The only bright spot I can give would be to Kelsey. She showed empathy and seemed to genuinely want to help. Unfortunately, she is at the mercy of of her superiors. She promised things that weren't delivered and I have no dount that it's her superiors that forced her to break those commitments. I can only hope that GOAuto and Ford will take notice of this and take whatever steps they need to do something about this. I have already contacted Ford directly and they are offering to have a complete inspection done at another dealership. If something is found to be wrong and the vehicle is deemed unsafe, the police, insurance companies and lawyers will be called. To anyone reading this. I STRONGLY urge you to steer clear of Kentwood Ford's service and team. It is my opinon that they deal underhandedly, dishonestly and in bad faith. They will push responsibility to you, the customer, even when the fault is their own. More

We had touched base a bit before coming in to see Pete. He had a couple units picked for us. Didn't purchase any of the ones Pete had picked out but spotted our exact vehicle that had just come in. Not that the ones Pete had selected weren't great. Ended up with a new to us truck and exactly what we were hoping for. Dealing with Anne in Finance was also a great pleasure. Picked up our new to us truck today and both Jan and I are totally impressed. Jan and Pat Keller Sherwood Park More
