However, my fiancé and I walked into Don Valley Toyota on Steeles an My experience with Toyota Vehicles has been positive over the last 25 years. However, my fiancé and I walked into Don Valley Toyota on Steeles and Woodbine and attempted to buy a car. I must admit that I was dressed casually and suffer severe respiratory problems and my fiancé is a visible minority in Canada. We were ushered and test drove around for an attempted to purchase a used car. The salesman told us that according to his manager, we could not purchase the vehicle as it was not certified. They took the keys from my car and apparently appraise it. We were waiting for 90 minutes with no water and one came to speak to us. As a person who suffers, I was very aware that they were not interested in dealing with a handicap or my fiancé. To make the story short, I contacted the general manager of Don Valley Toyota and we play telephone tag for a few times and then he sent me an email. I requested that he review the video tapes that are all over Weins Canada auto dealerships ( Weins Canada currently in Ontario owns 6 car dealership that I am aware of including Don Valley Toyota). The general manager, Charles Grant sent me back an email that was very aggressive stating that he would defend Don Valley Parkway Toyota to the end degree no matter what they did. I subsequently followed up with a phone call stating that I would like to have a telephone conference with him to discuss this matter but he ignored it. I registered a complaint with Toyota Canada, however they haven't responded. My fiancé and I attended Ken Shaw Toyota on St. Clair Ave. We were treated like human beings from their salesman Walter Kikhard. He was honest and he was fair. We purchased three vehicles from him within four to five weeks period. Ken Shaw Toyota and the representatives are very impressive and they were simply straightforward and honest. Walter has gone far and above for us to be comfortable with Toyota again. He was a gentleman and a man of his word. He works very hard to get the deals done. We were very impress with Walter and his attention to detail, knowledge and has sense of humour. He even gave us a complimentary Toyota bears with each purchase. We would recommend Ken Shaw Toyota and rank them among the top. Toyota Canada should recognize Ken Shaw Toyota as the best dealership in Canada for customer relations and quality of product. More
