We had an absolutely horrible experience with this dealership and will never purchase a vehicle from them again. I highly suggest others avoid them as well but if you do insist on going here I have so dealership and will never purchase a vehicle from them again. I highly suggest others avoid them as well but if you do insist on going here I have some suggestions based on our experience: - Research AMVIC and their all-in pricing regulations. Things like the "AB Prep" package that the dealership will tell you is installed on all their vehicles should NOT be an additional cost on top of the vehicle list price - When you pick up your vehicle, inspect and make sure all parts of this "AB Prep" package are ACTUALLY there. We knew the winter floor mats were there but did not realize until we got home that the other 4 components (including block heater, battery blanket, etc) were never installed. Also if you get a set of winter tires ensure they are the right ones. We had a completely incorrect tire size installed on the vehicle and nobody noticed it until we pointed it out - If you are buying a hybrid or EV that should qualify for the iZEV rebate with Transport Canada, do your research on which vehicles qualify. Contact Transport Canada if you need confirmation on anything. This dealership tried telling us our vehicle didn't qualify and their reason made no sense based on what I had researched. We made them submit the paperwork anyway and, surprise surprise, they have now had to give us $5k - Ask to see any service or maintenance records on the vehicle before you buy it, whether it is brand new, a demo, or used vehicle. We purchased an "executive demo" with very low km on it and were told everything would be good to go when we picked it up. Not only was the battery not charged (hybrid vehicle), it was due for an oil change in the next 2 weeks. The service department informed us of this and sales (Gino specifically, not knowing we spoke to service already) tried to pass it off as forgetting to update the sticker - Perhaps the worst part of this whole experience is the fact that 2 or 3 days after we picked up the vehicle we got a call from the service department to schedule the warranty work for our vehicle. At no point during this purchase in writing or conversation with Josiah, Khandaker, Gino, or Isabel had ANYONE disclosed that this vehicle in fact had a problem with the wiring harness and the whole thing needed to be replaced. Vlad in service told us that they had advised Sales to not sell this vehicle until it was fixed, however Sales assured them they would let any potential buyers know. Clearly this did NOT happen. When we confronted Gino (sales manager) about this he said that Sales was not aware of the issue so in my mind there are 2 possible explanations here - managers either have no clue what is going on in this dealership or they know exactly what is going on and are scamming their customers I can't tell you how many hours we have spent arguing back and forth with people at this dealership to fix all these issues. I also can't tell you how many times in these conversations we heard Gino tell us "mistakes happen". One mistake I can understand, maybe even 2. However this has far exceeded what should be acceptable and I would even go as far as to consider some of these "mistakes" to be illegal. At this point we are stuck with this vehicle, if I knew we would have to go through all of this to get it I never would have set foot in the building. Unfortunately we still need to bring it here every few years for some maintenance things specific to this dealership but they will be getting no further business from us or anybody that we know is looking to purchase a vehicle. Definitely the worst service in town by far. Had engine failure and after dropping car to Kia next day got phonecall that I can come pick up car (it was only computer problem we updated it all Had engine failure and after dropping car to Kia next day got phonecall that I can come pick up car (it was only computer problem we updated it all is good). Came to pick it up and engine was struggling to run with big clunking noise coming from it. After confronting them admitted that it was not good(no xxxx). After the engine was replaced and I got my car back few days later my steering wheel whent to left in the middle of the ride(almost crashed). Came next day in Kia and they fixed it( didn't screw and check everything properly). In coming months I found few screws under my car(should have been tight screwed) and that was after me telling them please check that everything is screwed this time lol. And the last one that sealed the deal, it needed 6 months from engine replacement that my exhaust pipe from engine gets loose( that's why I found 3 screws under the car). Noise was strong and I checked where is the problem(only 1 of 4 screws was on and loose). So I called kia and came there on my regular service. I explaine the problem(TELL THEM THAT 3 SCREWS ARE MISSING AND LOCATION OF IT). THEY RETURN CAR TO ME AND SURE I COME HOME 1 SCREW IS ONLY THERE AND LOOSE. THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOOKED AT IT. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wrote kia Canada and didn't got nothing back. And I have email from kia south common that acknowledges that all above is true. You still want to take your car there? You trust them? They are honest? More
Went there to inquire for a used/pre-owned vehicle that they are selling. Went inside but no one attended to me until after I called their number to ask to be seen. Also, they did a Hard Credit Inquiry they are selling. Went inside but no one attended to me until after I called their number to ask to be seen. Also, they did a Hard Credit Inquiry on me WITHOUT my CONSENT when I specifically said to them, especially Harmeet, that I am not okay/comfortable with doing the hard inquiry just yet since I am still car shopping and only there to inquire about the certain used vehicle. They assured that they won’t do a hard check, but they did anyway. They lied. Disappointing, really. More

On Saturday, 20 May, 2023, my wife and I visited Go Kia Soul to consider the purchase of a newer Soul for our daughter. We chose Go Kia South because we are driving out third Sorento (purchased from th Kia Soul to consider the purchase of a newer Soul for our daughter. We chose Go Kia South because we are driving out third Sorento (purchased from this dealership) and we have been very pleased with the way we have been treated by the staff in Management, New Car Sales, Parts, and Service. We were met by Guilliane Tiongson (new car sales) with whom we negotiated the purchase of a low mileage, demo, Ex Premium Soul. Guilliane was personable, knowledgable, professional, and made us feel confident we were dealing with a trustworthy person during the purchase process from start to finish. Our daughter loves the car and we paid a price we are happy with. I look forward to sitting with Guilliane over a coffee down the road, and I wish her the best of luck at Go Kia South. More
Go Kia South dealership in Edmonton is violating consumer protection laws. I just experienced this. We are car shopping and went to test drive a Sorento which was listed on the website for $29,500. We liked protection laws. I just experienced this. We are car shopping and went to test drive a Sorento which was listed on the website for $29,500. We liked the vehicle, and when we went to talk about the price with the salesperson, there were charges of approximately $6000 added to the price, which were presented as mandatory. This made the final price $35,500 plus GST, an upcharge of over 20%. Upon pressing, i was able to get them to drop some of these charges, but not the $1600 "AB preparation" charge. My understanding is the law requires disclosure in an online ad of all extra charges, except for GST. I believe Go Kia South in Edmonton is knowingly and routinely violating this law. I'm old and wise enough to see through this scam, but I'm sure there are plenty of inexperienced first time buyers who don't. I'm very frustrated as we drove over an hour each way to see this vehicle. Not only did someone try to scam us, but they wasted a bunch of our time as well. Stay away from this place. More
I recently purchased my second Kia from this dealership (the third Kia I have owned) and I am sad to say that there will never, ever be another Kia in my life. When I first got the vehicle the seat protect (the third Kia I have owned) and I am sad to say that there will never, ever be another Kia in my life. When I first got the vehicle the seat protectant was applied poorly so they took it back in to re-do. They escorted me to the back shop to show me the work…and the detailer was actively drinking coffee inside my brand new vehicle that I had not even drank in yet, I was unimpressed but willing to look past it. However, things only went downhill from there. I have had the vehicle for 80 days, 20+ of which it has been in their shop. I had asked for information on the diagnosis and what was being done to repair my vehicle in writing and over the phone but was ignored. I escalated my concerns to management but they don’t seem to care, I have emailed the GM with no response. The service manager told me he “test drove” my vehicle by driving it in circles in the parking lot for 50 minutes? I don’t believe this but IF it is true, what a waste of time. I even went as far to escalate this to Kia Canada who advised me dealerships are independently owned and operated so I had to deal with management at this specific location. Weeks ago I asked the Service Manager to put me into a new Sportage, I was advised it would cost $25 more biweekly on a longer loan term without the extras I added on (windshield warranty & 3M). Which seems Ludacris since they just sold me this brand new car with issues. Most recently I asked to be put into any other vehicle, he responded saying he would help any way he can. Hours later I hadn’t heard back so I followed up, he phoned and said he would get right back to me with numbers…it is now the next day and I haven’t heard back. I am of the opinion, and have facts to back this up, that sure – they will sell you a product and that is it. Kia does not stand by their vehicles and they certainly do not give a crap about customers’ time or money, the lack of respect I have encountered every step of the way is appalling. More
Professional crooks. Would give zero stars if I could. They will do everything in their power to sell you extra xxxx you don't need and even when their website claims "Pr Would give zero stars if I could. They will do everything in their power to sell you extra xxxx you don't need and even when their website claims "Price includes all fees and charges except GST and fees associated with financing" somehow the price of your car will go up 15% or more because of xxxxxxxx add-ons, some of which are "mandatory". When I questioned how that was possible when the website says there are no added fees I was told "those are services, not fees". I managed to haggle down the price of the mandatory fees, pardon me, "services", to $905 which is OUTRAGEOUS because you want to know what that $905 was for? A car detail (worth $200), a tank of gas (worth $100), AMVIC fee ($7.95), anti-theft etching ($20 kit on amazon does the same thing) and key loss protection. After repeatedly telling their salesperson I did not want or need any add-ons (trying to sell me packages of things the vehicle already has for $3000) I finally made a deal and went over to sign the financing paperwork. Buddy in finance spent the first 45 minutes trying to sell me more xxxx and would not take no for an answer. So god xxxx annoying. Looking at other reviews I'm now terrified that my car will have mechanical issues, even though the mechanical report was (suspiciously) 10's across the board with no details given for brake pad thickness or tire tread depth, which is pretty standard.
