Engine went in my Kia Sedona around 150 kms. Kia sent me a quote for over $50,000 for a new engine! I thought it was a typo! They came back with a quote for 12,000 for a used engine. We bought a second hand 2019 Sorento that the dealership assured us was fully inspected and 100% passed their inspection standards. Eight months in, it now needs more repairs than it's worth including a bra assured us was fully inspected and 100% passed their inspection standards. Eight months in, it now needs more repairs than it's worth including a brand new engine. Apparently Sorentos are known for engine scoring and oil leaks in the engine. No warning lights came on, and none of our routine maintenance displayed a problem. The service department just shrugged and said "sometimes the lights don't come on". The sales manager said that the car wasn't worth fixing and offered us $2,000 for the car we paid $23,000 for eight months earlier. No support, no help, just a shrug that "sometimes cars break". I would absolutely not buy a car from here. More
