It felt like magic The most awful purchase experience I have ever had. Purchased a $50k+ Vehicle with black interior and a 7-seater on Tuesday night. It felt like magic when the time came to pick it up on Saturday morning and I was provided with a 5-seater, white interior vehicle to drive away. This is not a $200 worth purchase, I can't comprehend how such an error could have been made. Then they offered to replace it with another one, only to find out it was a floor model they were trying to give us after inquiring- they never told us prior! We left disappointed as we could not drive away the car we had woken up first thing in the morning after a sleepless night with work. We asked to make sure the floor model did not have high mileage and scratches and they assured us it didn't and would be prepared. They said the person who was to apply the protection package wasn't available and the vehicle will be delivered on Monday by 2pm. They never showed up until night on Monday to deliver the car to my pregnant wife who had lost her entire waiting for them, while I was at work. They brought the care with 273km on it and I spoke with Tom the sales manager over the phone about my displeasure. He told me not to worry about the mileage, that it was normal and the vehicle was in great shape because he inspected it before it was brought over and I would love it. He promised to call the next morning. On getting home, I found my so called brand new $50k+ vehicle with terrible scratches and interior leather damaged. I took pictures and headed to the office the next night after getting no calls back from Tom all day as promised. Another sales Manager Billy apologized and offer $500 in go-card for the inconveniences. He said they would come pick up the car and fix the damage the next day. On Wednesday morning at 6:30am they picked up the vehicle, but couldn't replace the damaged leather seat until Monday when we had had enough of the mess and decided to cancel the transaction. It was two weeks into the purchase, we had no car, they were already charging for financing, insurance was being charged, and our so called brand new vehicle was being patched. That was it... We couldn't do it anymore. I spoke with the GM and got it canceled. This is the worst experience I ever had. It was cunning, they seemed like they were just there to sell you crap and leave you to deal with it. We loved the vehicle, but the service was horrible. More
DO NOT WASTER YOUR TIME & $ I just wanted to write you an e-mail about how truly disappointed I am with the GO KIA store in Edmonton, AB. Oct 24, 2015 I went into talk with some I just wanted to write you an e-mail about how truly disappointed I am with the GO KIA store in Edmonton, AB. Oct 24, 2015 I went into talk with someone about a new KIA SOUL. On the 25th my husband and I traded in our 2009 Corolla for a 2015 KIA. Since than we have had NOTHING but issues and a horrible lack of communication with the general manager and service manager at the store. 2 weeks after purchasing my new car, I took it in for the car starter to be installed. When I took it off the lot the doors didn't lock, so I had to return after work that day and get them to re-wire the starter. Chris (tech) informed me he had only installed this started once before and he mixed up the wires. Umm that should of set something off. A few weeks after that I had nothing but issues with the lights on the dash, radio and heating system. They would not turn on, so when it was dark out it was black inside my car. If I wanted to adjust the heat or volume on my radio I had to turn the lights on the ceiling on in order to see inside my car. I left 6 messages for someone to call me back, and my husband left 2. NO ONE RETURNED our calls for over a month. Finally we got a call back from Tanya (no longer with the company) saying she could get us in, in January. January came and we still didn't hear from you. I called again and they informed me she no longer worked for them. I left a message for a guy named Jason (in service) and never hear back again. Than finally got a new service adviser (PREET) She was lovely and very helpful. I took my car in and they had it for a few days. When I went to pick it up, I was informed nothing was wrong with my car and I had to pay for the oil change. I started my car and drove off the lot. To my surprise I HAD NO LIGHTS inside my vehicle. I called them right away and we returned to the service department. The mechanic (ASH) and Preet both came and looked at it. Ash than told me he had never seen anything like this and I must of hit something inside my car. Um no, this is exactly what I was dealing with for 2 months (at that point now) They weren't able to get me in for 3 weeks, as no loaner cars with available so for 3 weeks I wasn't able to drive at night. I had to take cabs and buses to place because I didn't want to risk my life and others with no lights on inside my car. I dropped my car off on March 6 and we left for Europe for 2 weeks. Upon my return I called Preet to check on my car. She again, informed me that NOTHING was wrong with my car, they took it all apart and weren't able to duplicate the issues I was having for almost 3 months. ( I have videos on my phone of the issues) I refused to have my car back, so they kept it a TOTAL OF 23 days. Turns out they needed to order a new part and life was good. Or so I thought, my car wasn't ready for the day/time it was suppose to be and I had to get a loaner from GO KIA ( . At this point I had have enough and spoke with RAJ( the former Service Manager) about the issues with service and what was going on with my new car. 5 times I have brought it back in less than 6 months and now I have to bring it in for a 6th time. He apologizes and offered a "FREE" detail of my car. All that was, was they cleaned my front 2 seats and did nothing with my back seats or trunk. We than had the loaner and my new part had "FIXED" the problem for almost a full 48 hours. The issues started again ( I took more videos of this) and I had to bring it back in. This time it would come and go and now the radio would just shut it's self off for no reason. Again, I had to wait as there was NO LOANER car for me. SO I called Raj again, to express my disappointment with having to come back again and not only that having to wait for another loaner. After not hearing from Raj for a few days I called again and was informed he too was no longer with the company . I was than transfer to Chris's (new service manager) voicemail. We had a lovely chat later that day about the service I have been receiving. After having my car for another few days I was again told by both Ash & Preet nothing was wrong and Ash took me out for a test driving in it. It has been 3 days now, I have left 2 voice messages with CHris and Lance (GM of Go Kia) with no calls back. I am so disappointed with my service and that fact I got the run around 5 months. I called a different KIA in the city and they were shocked at the service I was provided. I will not recommend GO KIA or GO AUTO to any family or friends. More
Worst dealership ever! These guys are the most incompetent group I've ever dealt with. Shouldn't have even walked in the door, or driven on the lot for that matter, cuz thi These guys are the most incompetent group I've ever dealt with. Shouldn't have even walked in the door, or driven on the lot for that matter, cuz things got totally screwed up from the get go. From the Manager on down, thru to their finance department, nothing but a bunch of bumbling buffoons, who couldn't get us the answers when we needed them. Their finance department are without doubt, the most useless of twits and shouldn't be trusted, as they made mistake after mistake after mistake. Love the vehicle..but hate the dealership and it's rude people. This is definately a place to avoid at all cost!! Giving this place a zero rating is too good More

They were so pushy I told them I should just walk away which I did in the end. I told them I was deciding between a Toyota Scion and Kia Soul. The salesman Victor made fun of the Toyota and called it a hearse. I walked out with my money still in my pocket. it was a HORRIBLE experience. Avoid this dealer at all costs. More
Good experience with Sheldon I bought a new car from Sheldon on January 29th, 2016. He isn't one of these pushy salesmen that people don't like to deal with. He was very knowledge I bought a new car from Sheldon on January 29th, 2016. He isn't one of these pushy salesmen that people don't like to deal with. He was very knowledgeable of the cars and spent a lot of time showing me the different options. I looked at a few vehicles and took them for test drives. He was very patient with me and kept in contact when I called and left messages regarding the vehicles. Once I decided what kind of vehicle I was buying we talked about prices. I was able to negotiate a bit. We figured out the best payment plan as far as monthly payments. I didn't get some of the extras as far as undercoating, rust proofing etc. That does add a lot of money to the price. It is not mandatory to buy them. Jennifer in finance was very easy to deal with as well. I would recommend this dealership...especially Sheldon. I am very happy with my car and would buy from there again. More
SUPER AGGRESSIVE, lying, we complained to the BBB. This was our BBB complaint: On October 3rd, we went in for an oil change that was included for life when we purchased our vehicle last year. They ask This was our BBB complaint: On October 3rd, we went in for an oil change that was included for life when we purchased our vehicle last year. They asked us if we would be interested in buying a new vehicle if they could give us 0% interest with similar payments. We said if that was the case we would consider it. When they came back, the payments were 50% higher than we currently make, and the interest rate was somewhere between 7 and 9%. When we told them that we were not interested in that vehicle for that price, we had multiple sales managers come and try to convince us to buy it, including asking for a deposit, and asking us to sign a bill of sale for an entirely different vehicle (a 2014 version of our current vehicle). They were becoming increasingly aggressive and they weren't listening when we were saying that we needed to take our three week old daughter home. One of the mamagers of said 'this is your trade-in amounts on our current vehicle', which seems very low to us. He said 'well we had to factor in that it makes a funny sound when it accelerating'. He said that he took it for a test drive. At no point did anyone ask us or did we agree to having a vehicle driven by anyone except for the purpose of moving it for the oil change. Also, my vehicle has never made a funny sound on accelerating. Finally, we just picked up our stuff and said we absolutely need to leave. We were in GoKia for three hours that day. Over the next couple of weeks we received multiple phone calls and emails about lowering our interest rate. They told my husband that we have been approved to refinance the vehicle at 4%. We went in on October 24th and spoke with our sales rep, Sheldon. We signed paperwork saying that the journey would be refinanced at 4% and then he stated that they would have to evaluate our vehicle for a trade in value, because they would essentially be buying back our Journey and then selling it back to us again. When I ask what administration costs would be involved in that, he gave us a vague answer basically saying it's included in the price. We were told that our payments could say the same but we could take a year off our financing term. We were told that it would take a few hours to do the inspection, but they would give us a loaner vehicle. They originally wanted to to leave the vehicle for the whole weekend, but we explain that with a baby and dogs that was not possible. The vehicle that they happen to lend us was the same vehicle that they had been trying to sell us when we went for the oil change three weeks earlier. I made a joke to my husband that 'haha, they're probably going to try to just sell us this (a Kia Sedona Minivan), and not refinance the Dodge Journey'. That is EXACTLY what happened. We had gone in at 10 in the morning, and they said that it would be done by 4. When we returned at 3 o'clock, after we hadn't heard anything from them, we notice that our vehicle has not been moved. When we went inside they said there have been a glitch with the bank, and that for some reason they thought that we were trying to finance the Sedona. The paperwork we had signed upon arriving said it was for our 2010 Journey (although it said 6%, not the 4% promised on the phone). My husband came back and told me the refinancing was not going to happen, and some other manager came over and said 'sorry... can we fill up your gas tank?'. I told him the 10 quality hours they had stolen from us spending with our newborn on my husband's days off was worth much more than a 1/4 tank of gas. I later called to ask where we could have our oil changes done alternatively, as they said we could do them somewhere else when we first bought our vehicle. We were told that that week they decided that they had to be honored at the dealership where the vehicle was purchased. More

I asked to speak with somebody at the finance company and she told me "they won't talk to you". They took full advantage of the fact that my other KIA had been written off in an accident and I was in need of a vehicle. The car buying experience you receive at Southtown KIA absolutely tarnishes the KIA brand which is a shame because their vehicles are awesome. Save yourself the misery of dealing with this deplorable dealership and go to North Edmonton KIA instead. If it was possible to give Southtown KIA a lower rating than one star I would have. More

They don't honour their own website deals citing the deal is expired even though it's still advertised online 2 months after it supposedly expired and no expiry date on the website. I emailed a sales manager to try and get an answer and didn't have the courtesy to reply. They snuck in a security and tire protection packages in to the sale by having it typewritten while everything else was handwritten while we negotiated numbers. I asked what it was and was told it was a mandatory tax they had to charge which is why it was typewritten in. We agreed to a price with those numbers on the bill of sale. Then after we agreed to a final price and returned days later to sign the final documents and pick up the vehicle they then added A total of $980 difference from our original agreement. When asked why the price changed I was told because my trade in value didn't cover the cost of the loan. This accounted for $300 of the $980 they added. They put our address wrong in all of our documents. I requested they fix it immediately and they said they would. I called the bank over 2 weeks later and no change had been made. The bank has sent all of the mail to someone else. After we had agreed on a price but before we picked up our vehicle a sales manager called us saying they accidently sold our vehicle to someone else. Since we signed documents first it was supposedly ours but he could offer us a deal if we went with another vehicle. Said they had the same one, same trim, same year, same everything and he'd give us $1000 off if we took it. Well this was a used vehicle as it had 4500 km on it. We politely declined this scam. We were told as an incentive they'd give us all weather mats. They would be in the vehicle when we picked it up. When they weren't in there we were told the carpet was the all weather mat. When I disagreed we were told to flip the mat over and the rubber on the other side would protect against the snow and mud. Obviously not true. Finally told mats were on back order and we would get them when they come in. We weren't even given the proper paperwork so that we could register the vehicle. Had to go back the next day to and request the NVIS. This dealership has 1980 used car dealership written all over it with their slimy tricks. Thank goodness I had copies of everything I signed and could call them out on this. Our sales person was very friendly and appeared to be trying to help us but with everything that happened it seemed like this is a management issue as they created a sales culture of unethical behaviour to squeeze a tiny bit extra out of every sale by shady tricks. Everything went through the sales manager so the blame is on them. This probably works more often than not so I don't see a change in the future. I've had to put in so much of my own time to fix their mistakes and try to get the money back to equal our original agreed price. It's too bad because we love the vehicle we bought. Suggest that if you have any issues you communicate through email so that you have a record including time and date. They can't be taken at their word. More
